Luke 6:12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
Jesus
Christ is our Lord and Savior. He has set the pace for us to follow. No one is
greater than Jesus. The servant is not greater than his Master. Jesus Christ
was a man of prayer. He always prayed because He knew the power within a
prayer. Jesus Christ prayed, worshipped, and made supplication to His Heavenly
all night.
We
are not wiser than Jesus Christ. If Jesus Christ prayed and worshipped all
night, then who are we to condemn long prayers? I know some Christians who
condemn long prayers. The issue is that; we have different kinds
of prayers. I will share some of the types of prayers we have. We
have corporate prayers, Spirit-controlled prayers, the secret place prayer,
warfare prayer, and anointed type of prayer.
Jesus Christ went to a solitary place to pray. Jesus knew what He was doing. He
knew that without prayer, He would not be able to accomplish His mission.
Prayer is communication between you and your Creator. We must understand is
that, without prayer, the devil will get an advantage over us. In my preaching
and teaching hours, I have been saying that a prayerless man or a prayerless
woman is potential prey for the devil. If you don’t pray, you become a
liability to the kingdom of God.
Prayer with faith breaks the curses and the incantations of the enemy. Prayer
empowers our spirit much in the realms of the spirit. When we pray, we can
override the temptations of the enemy. When we pray, we allow the celestial beings
to take charge of our lives. Prayer moves the hands and the power of God.
Prayer enables God and His angels to position themselves for our defence
strategically.
If you have not built a prayer life, I encourage you to build a prayer life
because prayer has helped a lot in my spiritual life. I love to pray at
midnight hour often. Find and join a Christian prayer group. If you feel lazy
and weak in prayer, connect with a prayerful believer because iron can sharpen.
When you pray, believe in your heart that your prayers have been answered by
giving thanks to the Heavenly Father.
End your prayer using the name of Jesus Christ. Remember that you address your prayer to the Heavenly Father using Jesus Christ's name, not man's name. Forgive anybody who has hurt you and ask for divine mercies by confessing every unknown sin. Pray using the Word. Pray more in the Spirit. As you walk on this path, the miracles you have been waiting for will begin to manifest.
MASTER KEY: ALWAYS PRAY FROM YOUR HEART USING THE WORD OF GOD.
