ACTIVATING THE GROUND FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH (DIVINE KEYS TO CHRISTIAN GROWTH) 3
Matthew
13:1 The same day went Jesus out of the
house, and sat by the sea side .
Matthew
13:3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower
went forth to sow;
Matthew
13:4 And when he sowed, some seeds
fell by the way side, and the fowls came
and devoured them up:
Matthew
13:5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith
they sprung up, because they had no
deepness of earth:
Matthew
13:6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched ; and because they had no root,
they withered away.
Matthew
13:7 And some fell among thorns; and the
thorns sprung up, and choked them:
Matthew
13:8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold , some sixtyfold , some
thirtyfold.
Matthew
13:9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Matthew
13:10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in
parables?
Matthew
13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the
mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them
it is not given .
Matthew
13:12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given , and he shall have more
abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he
hath.
Matthew
13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and
hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
Matthew
13:16 But blessed are your
eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
Matthew
13:17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have
not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
Matthew
13:18 Hear ye therefore the parable of
the sower.
Matthew
13:19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was
sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
Matthew
13:20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that
heareth the word, and anon with joy
receiveth it;
Matthew
13:21 Yet hath he not root in himself,
but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of
the word, by and by he is offended .
Matthew
13:22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word;
and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word,
and he becometh unfruitful.
Matthew
13:23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the
word, and understandeth it;
which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold , some sixty, some thirty.
The word of God
is one of the seed for our spiritual growth. Before the seed can grow, it needs a
fertile ground, sunlight, water and pruning. Our heart is the soil. Our mind
is the sunlight, the physical and the spiritual atmosphere is the water and
prayer is the weapon of pruning.
Before you can
mature in the spiritual realm, you must pray and ask the Heavenly Father to
take away the rebellious heart and give
you the heart of the Holy Spirit (See
Ezekiel 36:26). If your heart is prepared for the Word, it produces a
result. The next step is to eliminate every thought that opposes you from
connecting to the Word. For example, the videos, the music, the ungodly books,
the association and indiscipline attitudes developed. Any book, video, music and influence that
contradict the word of God must be eliminated by using your will power (See 1 Corinthians 9:27). When
this happens, the seed (Word) will
produce a result in your Christian life.
The next step to
follow is to create a conducive environment. Clean and anoint your room. Keep
the body and the soul clean by sanctifying yourself in a spirit-filled
music and through meditation on God’s word. This will close the channels of the
enemy and evil spirits.
The last step is to build a consistent prayer life. Prayer makes
your spirit active toward the
Holy Spirit. If you are prayerful, the Word will always make an impact in your
life and in the lives of others. If you are prayerful, the Holy Spirit gives
you a revelation about the Word. Get my book entitled “How to Grow in the Realms of the Spirit” and “How to Walk and Live in the Spirit” for

Divine Key: Ask
the Heavenly Father to prepare your heart for the Word.
