Isaiah 1:18 COME NOW, AND LET US REASON TOGETHER, SAITH THE LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
If God created us in His image and likeness, why then should you reject Jesus Christ as God? God became a human being and dwelt among us. His birth was supernatural because there was no sexual intercourse or sperm transplant. The Holy Spirit breathed on Mary to enable her to receive the seed of Jesus Christ.
God was living with mankind in the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ did what man did except sin and sexual intercourse. This means that God does what we can do except for sin. We can see from the scriptures that Prophet Isaiah is making a profound statement here that we should come and reason together. Let us search for the Greek word “REASON.”
To be right, to argue, to decide, justify or convict, appoint, argue, chasten, convince, correct, dispute, judge, maintain, plead, reason (together), rebuke, reprove, surely, in any wise.
This should let you understand that:
- We can interact with God.
- We can argue with God.
- We can justify our actions with God.
- We can convince God with our plans.
- We can plead our case to God.
- We can sit down and decide with God.
This is not self-righteousness. This is biblical and revelation teachings. God is ready to interact with us because He is a righteous Judge. He needs our cooperation. He is calling us to come to Him and reason with Him because we have free will. God did not create us to be robots. We can approach God’s throne and demand His promises made in the Word.
God is not a tyrant, as others think He is. He is ready to talk to us. He has given us the Holy Spirit to interact with. There are times we have to sit down and talk to the Holy Spirit because He is ready to accept our petitions.
I remember when I was at the university; I sat with the Holy Spirit and told Him my heart desire. The souls I have won for the kingdom, and the time I have invested in following up on the souls. I said to the Holy Spirit, I cannot be disgraced in my academics because my grades were unsatisfactory.
Immediately after the conversation with the Holy Spirit, it began to rain heavily. Later I heard the Lord telling me, I did not apply wisdom in studies. The Lord said unto me; You did not have enough time to study your books; That is why you had unsatisfactory results. It was true because I only studied a few days before the exams. By the grace of God, I am intelligent. The only problem was that I did not apply wisdom in my academics; That is why I had bad grades.
I have been encouraging students to study effectively because serving God without studying your books can make you get bad grades. I could have blamed God for the bad grades I had in the university. When I sat down with the Holy Spirit, He showed the root cause of my problem and gave me the antidote.
When Isaiah told Hezekiah to prepare for his death. Hezekiah reasoned with the Lord, and the Lord added fifteen years to his age. Read for yourself.
Isaiah 38:1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.
Isaiah 38:2 THEN HEZEKIAH TURNED HIS FACE TOWARD THE WALL, AND PRAYED UNTO THE LORD,
Isaiah 38:3 AND SAID, REMEMBER NOW, O LORD, I BESEECH THEE, HOW I HAVE WALKED BEFORE THEE IN TRUTH AND WITH A PERFECT HEART, AND HAVE DONE THAT WHICH IS GOOD IN THY SIGHT. AND HEZEKIAH WEPT SORE.
Isaiah 38:4 Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying,
Isaiah 38:5 Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.
Isaiah 38:6 And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city.
Isaiah 38:7 And this shall be a sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken;
Take a faith step. Put a chair in front of you and connect your spirit to the Holy Spirit. Believe with your heart that the Holy Spirit is sitting on that chair. Speak to Him as you are speaking to someone and expect feedback. Keep practicing it, and you will see a significant change in your Christian life.
Divine Key: Jesus Christ is always ready for interaction.
