John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Love is a powerful antidote that heals the most wounded and treacherous person in this life. Love can be felt and seen. Love is the only virtue of the Holy Spirit that binds Christians together. This is how Apostle Paul defines love in the scriptures.
1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up.1 Corinthians 13:5 It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful.1 Corinthians 13:6 It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth.1 Corinthians 13:7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.1 Corinthians 13:8 Love never ends. But if there are prophecies, they will be set aside; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside. (NET BIBLE).
- Without love, mercy will not prevail.
- Without love, peace will not prevail.
- Without love, unity will not prevail.
- Without love, the development will not prevail.
- Without love, the conflict will dominate the environment.
- Without love, life will be full of insecurity.
- Without love, wickedness will reign in the heart of mankind.
Love identifies God because love emanates from God; God is the one who supplies love, so without Him, there is no love. Without love, there is no life. We see the love of God in the existence of Satan and his minions. The life of the entire world is rooted in the love of God. This means that Satan and his minions will cease to exist when God takes away life. When God ceases to live, love will cease to exist, and when love ceases to exist, every living thing, including Satan and his minions will cease to exist.
The scriptures state that God LOVED the world. The “LOVE” described here is in the past tense. God LOVED mankind and all other creation before He created them. This means God created humanity and all other creation out of love. The love of God existed before God created.
God was in love with His Son (Jesus Christ) before He started His creation (See Proverbs 8:22-31). God could have ceased to create mankind because evil existed before He began creation (Meditate on Genesis 1:1-2). Evil existed before God started His creation. Darkness surrounded God in the beginning before He started His creation (See Psalm 18:11, 97:2).
There was an intense battle between God and Evil. God defeated Evil before He started His creation (Meditate on John 1:5). God wanted mankind to experience His love. He wanted to express His love for Himself in another vessel. God’s love was binding all creation together until Satan activated the power of sin. Satan moved out of God’s love.
When Satan's thoughts moved outside the thoughts of God. Darkness (misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness) entered him. Evil did not tempt Satan. Satan willfully went outside God’s love. His desire to seek a different will apart from God’s will activated evil to overshadow Satan, which made him corrupt in his thoughts.
God sent His Son (Jesus Christ) as a sin offering to mankind to enable us to overcome sin. When Jesus Christ defeated sin in the flesh, He gave us the power to rule sin in our human nature. It is the responsibility of mankind to repent, accept and confess Jesus Christ as his Saviour and Lord over his life to enable him to get eternal life.
- Eternal life is the life of total purity.
- Eternal life is a life of total dominion over sin.
- Eternal life is a life of total happiness with the saints.
- Eternal life is a life of unity with the Godhead.
- Eternal life is a life of restoration from our fallen state.
- Eternal life is a life of reconciliation with the Heavenly Father.
It is never too late to experience God’s love because His love is unconditional. God desires that you connect with Him through His Son (Jesus Christ) because Jesus Christ is the mediator between mankind and God (See 1 Timothy 2:5).
Divine Key: Jesus Christ is the perfect description of love.
