The Ministry Keys 2 (How to connect to a Spiritual leader in the Spiritual realm).
… Believe in the LORD your
God, so shall ye be established ; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
(2 Chronicles 20:20 KJV).
Loved
ones in Christ Jesus, I hope you are moving in the strength of the Holy Spirit.
I have been sharing about the ministry keys, and I believe the Holy Spirit is
speaking to you. I want to share with you some divine keys that will enable
you to connect with your spiritual leader(s). In the ministry of God, God has
given every Christian a shepherd to follow. Failure to follow the shepherd will
hinder you in your Christian life.
… I will set up shepherds
over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed,
neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.
(Jeremiah 23:4 KJV).
God
deals with us according to the knowledge we have about Him. He deals with us
according to the covenant we have made with Him. God deals with us by His grace
and mercies. Don’t expect God to speak from Heaven if you have not trained your
spirit to hear His voice in that dimension. There are various ways the Holy
Spirit speaks to us.
- The Holy Spirit speaks to us through the Word (Holy Bible).
- He can speak to us through dreams.
- He can speak to us in an audible voice.
- He can speak to us through the Visions (it can be an open vision or a closed vision).
- God can speak to us through trance.
- He can speak to us through godly friends.
- He can speak to us through our godly neighbours.
- He can speak to us through our parents and guardians.
- He can speak to us through the voice of His Holy angels.
- He can speak to us through our heart (Inner witness).
- He can speak to you through the shepherd(s), He has given you.
God speaks in various
ways. Contact me if you want my teachings on how to hear
the voice of God on my YouTube channel. In this article, I will briefly share
with you nine ways the Holy Spirit can speak to you through your spiritual
leader(s). I chose spiritual leaders because we are the mouthpiece of God. God will do
nothing unless He speaks through His servants.
Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth
his secret unto his servants the prophets.
(Amos
3:7
KJV).
Below are some ways you
can use to connect with your spiritual leader(s). By the grace of God, these
keys work for me. If you follow these keys. You will get excellent results that
will help you connect with your spiritual leader. This will help you connect with the purpose of God for your life.
1. Build your spirit with the Word (Holy Bible).
The first key to help you
build a strong connection with your spiritual leader is to be a man or a woman
of the Word. Building your spirit with the Word is a great asset to your
spiritual growth (See 1 Peter 2:2). I have Bible study tools (Power Bible CD, E-Sword, the Word and many Bible study software) on my
laptop. I use them during studies. I also have a Ryrie Bible study book and other excellent Bible study books (Hard copies). These Bible study tools help me
a lot when I am doing my quiet time.
If you build your spirit
with the Word, your spirit and soul become active to the voice of the Holy
Spirit speaking through your spiritual leader. The Holy Spirit never contradicts
the Word (See 1 John 5:7-8). When you build your spirit and transform
your soul with the Word, the Holy Spirit prepares you to hear the revelation
coming out from your spiritual leader. Get my books.

2. Build a prayer life on your own.
Pray without ceasing.
(1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV).
The second key to help
you connect with your spiritual leader is to build a consistent prayer life.
Prayer is a vital element in your Christian life. By the grace of God, I have built
my spirit with midnight prayers to the extent that the Holy Spirit always wakes
me up in the middle of the night to pray. When I allow my flesh to dominate me,
the Holy Spirit will wake me up several times to pray. Loved one in Christ
Jesus, never underestimate the power of prayer because prayer empowers our
spirit to overcome evil traps. Failure to watch and pray will lead to
temptation (See Matthew 26:41).
- Why did Jesus Christ pray all night?
- Why did Jesus Christ separate Himself from the disciples and communed with God through prayers?
- Why did the Holy Spirit drive Jesus Christ into the wilderness to fast and pray?
There are secrets in
prayer. When you build a prayer life, it helps your spirit and soul adjust to
the spiritual level of your leader. When you build a prayer life, it helps you
build your spiritual ears to enable you to hear the revelations behind the
words of your shepherd. Some people hear the Word of God with their carnal
ears. Such Christians receive little when their spiritual leader speaks to
them.
Prayer activates your
spiritual senses and makes your spiritual antenna receive the power within the
words of your spiritual leader. The reason Apostle Peter walked on the sea was that
he was a man of prayer. The reason Apostle Peter said to Jesus He is the Son of
God was that he was a man of prayer. Failure to pray will make your spirit
insensitive to the spiritual power within the words of your spiritual leader. Get
my book “The Seven Secret Keys of Prayer” for a more profound
revelation.
3.
Soak into the teachings and preaching of the leader.
The third key to help you
connect with your spiritual leader is to connect with the preaching and
teachings of your spiritual leader. When you consistently hear the sermons of
your spiritual leader, it builds a fountain of faith within your soul. Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Rome.
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
(Romans 10:17 KJV).
The more you hear the
sermons of your spiritual leader, you become one with the leader. Your faith increases. It connects your faith to the faith of your spiritual leader. His thoughts become your thought.
I wonder why most Christians cannot receive from their spiritual leader. If you
want to connect with your spiritual leader, connect with his or her sermons. It
doesn’t matter where you live and where your spiritual leader lives, just
connect with his sermons. You will receive a new level of anointing resting on
your spiritual leader.
4.
Be addicted to the books of the leader
The fourth key to help
you connect with your spiritual leader is to read the books of your spiritual
leader. If your spiritual leader has not written books, connect with his or her
sermons. Apostle Paul commanded his ministerial associate Timothy to give heed to
reading.
Till I come, give attendance to reading, to
exhortation, to doctrine.
(1 Timothy 4:13 KJV).
Reading
is another level of connecting with your spiritual leader. When you read the
books of your spiritual leader(s), it makes you connect with the grace God has
invested in his life. You become a partaker of the grace of the leader when
you connect with his books (also
through his sermons). Through his books, you will know his ideas, plans,
and Spirit resting on Him.
5. See the leader with your spirit.
The fifth key to help you
connect with your spiritual leader is to see him as greater than you. It doesn’t
matter his age, tribe, and educational level. Most Christians check the
educational level, other carnal and unnecessary things about a spiritual
leader. If you do that, you will receive nothing from the leader.
When you only look at the
physical appearance of a leader before you connect with him, you are carnal,
soulish and blind. First check the spiritual level, anointing, authority,
mantle, and the leaders your spiritual leader follows because that is the most
important thing. If the leader is called and chosen by God, the Holy Spirit will bear
witness in your spirit.
6.
Honour the leader with what you have.
The sixth key to help you
connect with your spiritual leader is to reverence him. Have a servanthood
spirit. Don’t be too proud to humble yourself before the leader. Humility is a
great key. God knows your heart. He knows what you carry. Whatever you can do
within your capacity to show that you respect your leader, do it. If you can sow
a seed, do it. A seed can be in the form of money, food, cloth, a word of
encouragement, interceding for the leader from your heart and obeying his godly
counsel. The most important thing God looks at is your heart. If you honour
your spiritual leader from your heart, God will bless you with the grace upon
his or her life.
7.
Bind the spirit of familiarity in your life.
The seventh key to help
you connect with your spiritual leader is to bind the spirit of familiarity.
Familiarity is the most common weapon the enemy uses against Christians. This
happens to Christians who are close to the leader. Jesus could not perform
great miracles in His hometown because of familiarity. When you become too
familiar with your leader, it makes your spirit unable to receive from him.
Don’t become too familiar with your spiritual leader, and you will receive from
him. Read more: How familiarity affects the anointing.
8.
Never speak against, slander, and backstab the leader with your tongue and in
your heart.
Most often, people who
speak against leaders receive curses. When you slander your leader, you break
your connection with his or her spirit. People cannot connect with their leader
because they stab them with their tongue and in their hearts. Such people will
never receive the blessings and the anointing on the leader.
Speaking against
leaders open the portals for evil spirits to attack you in the realms of the
spirit. It can lead to backsliding, sickness, and premature death. Speak
encouraging words about your leader when he is around or not around, and you
will always receive from him. Backstab the leader, and you will receive curses,
the judgment of God and calamities. I hope you know what happened to Miriam,
Judas Iscariot, Absalom, and other wicked people who destroyed the integrity of leaders.
9.
Disconnect with people and groups who consistently and willfully hate and speak
against your leader (s).
The ninth key to help you
connect with your spiritual leader is to distance yourself from people, groups,
and an environment that speaks evil about your leader and innocent people. People who insult,
discredit and slander innocent people are blind, cursed, and lost. If you join
them, the curse following them will fall on you. Don’t sit among them!
If the person or the group is ignorant of their actions, teach them the Word of God and intercede for them. If they know of their actions, rebuke them. If they repent, stay with them, if they retaliate, break out from the environment because it will affect you. When you stay with them, their words will damage your spirit and soul. When this happens, you become rebellious and you cannot receive from the leader. (Meditate on Psalms 1:1-3).
