THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS CHRIST 11 (RELIGIOUS WORKS AND THE FOUNDATION)
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Matthew 7:21-27 KJV
We thank God for a
blissful day loved one in Christ Jesus. I believe you are enjoying the
teachings of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It is a great mistake to study
the Word of God, and ignore the teachings of Jesus Christ because the teachings,
doctrines, and the ministry of Jesus Christ recorded in the Holy Scriptures
gives us a broad understanding of God’s wisdom.
Jesus Christ is our
Master, Father, Helper, Leader, Commander, King, and President as far as the
Christian faith is a concern. We shall forever abide by the principles of Jesus
Christ because He is the foundation of God’s creation. Everything began with
Jesus Christ. He is the source of life (See John 1:1-14). Without
Jesus Christ, life is meaningless. We receive our joy, hope, faith, love,
peace, purpose, vision, and power from Jesus Christ because He is the giver of
“everything” we possess.
Outside Jesus Christ is
darkness, confusion, misery, evil, sickness, wickedness and corruption. Jesus
Christ is the joy of the entire world. It is our responsibility as Christians to
know the teachings of Jesus Christ because, without His teachings, we will be
like a sheep without a shepherd. Living outside the umbrella of Jesus Christ is like a hunter
in the forest without a gun or protective (offensive and defensive) weapon.
We must value the
teachings of Christ Jesus above every treasure because there is no treasure
that can match up with the Words of Jesus Christ. In the book of Matthew
chapter seven verses twenty-one to twenty-seven, Jesus made a profound
statement. He said some people call out His name, but He doesn’t know them. Some
people believe attending Church means they are Christians. Attending Church is part of the Christian faith, it doesn't mean Jesus Christ knows you.
Others believe that
living a good life makes you a Christian. Some people think because they are
born into a Christian home, they are Christians. That is a fallacy. We become
children of God through the blood of Jesus Christ. Read my article for a more profound revelation and Types of Christians. Know these truths.
- The fact that you were born into a godly Christian home does not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that an Archbishop or a renowned minister of God ordained you do not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that you work in the house of God does not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that your pastor, prophet or the leaders in the Church knows you as a member of the Church does not mean that Jesus knows you.
- The fact that the church records your name in their books does not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that you have a position in the church does not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that you can preach and teach the Word of God does not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that people call you a righteous or a holy man or woman does not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that you have stayed in the church for a long period does not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that you support the church financially does not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that everybody in the church, community, and workplace respects and honour you do not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that you carry a greater anointing does not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that you are the founder of a ministry does not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that you occupy a high position in the organization does not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that you can operate in the gift (working of miracles, prophesying, giving deep prophecies, ability to speak diver’s kind of tongues, interpret tongues, and can exhibit great faith…) of the Holy Spirit does not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that you are morally upright does not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that you can pray for a long period does not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that people come to you for counselling, guidance and psychotherapy does not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that you have great and many certificates in education and ministry does not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
- The fact that you have produced a lot of religious works does not mean that Jesus Christ knows you.
It is like a football
match. You can be the best player on the team. If the coach ignores you in the
final squad, the referee will never recognize you. It is only when the coach (Jesus Christ) adds you in
the final squad (book of life) that the referee (the Trinity) recognizes you as a player on the field (Heaven). Many
people in the church are working tirelessly and Jesus Christ do not know them.
God has not recorded their name in the book of life.
The saddest part of the
story is that these “Christians” think they are working for God. We work with
God, and He works with principles. He calls us. After the calling, He chooses
those that are willing to sacrifice their time, job, finance, family and
comfort for His sheep (saved and unsaved souls including the kingdom business).
After God chooses us, we
press towards the high mark to get in line with the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
After the anointing, He breaks us and builds our faith to enable us to rely on
Him. The Holy Spirit further brings people to work with us to build His kingdom.
Jesus Christ only knows
people who do the will of His Father. The will of the Father is to love Jesus
Christ with all our strength, heart, and life. If we love Jesus Christ, we will
be concerned about the lost souls (See John 21:15-17). Get my book “A Soul is a Soul” for a more profound revelation. We will keep the
commands of Jesus Christ if we love God. Obeying and acting on the Word of God
is the will of the Father.
Jesus further states that
“whosoever heareth
these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which
built his house upon a rock:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the
winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon
a rock.
And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and
doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon
the sand:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the
winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of
it.”
When we read and hear the
Word(teachings) of Jesus Christ and act on those words, God sees us as wise
people, so anyone who rejects the Word (teachings) of Jesus
Christ is a fool. When we hear and act on the Word of Jesus Christ, we will
never fail in life. Building a house without a proper foundation is dangerous
and suicidal. When you set up a strong foundation, you can build over five-story
buildings because it is the foundation that determines the length, longevity
and strength of the building.
Every Word of Jesus
Christ is a strong material that builds our spirit and renews our soul. Get my series of books for a more profound revelation because Jesus said His Word is
the pillar of our life. When the storms (difficulty, death of a loved one, hunger, sickness,
war, and darkness) feature in our life, it is the Word that
holds us. In these series of books, the Holy Spirit revealed some revelations
to me about the Word. Get the books to transform your life. If you cannot
