How to Become a Perfect Believer in Jesus Christ 4 (Perfecting holiness)
Loved ones in Christ
Jesus, I believe you are following my teachings on holiness. If you have not
read my previous articles on holiness, kindly read them to enable you to understand
the foundation.
Without a foundation, you
may not understand my teachings.
In this episode, I will use the strategy of
Jesus Christ, how Jesus Christ lived in the holiness of the Spirit. Jesus
Christ is our role model. We must imitate His life and walk in His footsteps.
Following a man or a woman who does not obey and follow the teachings of Jesus
Christ is dangerous.
It is like a man
following a blind kid. If the character and life of your spiritual leader
represent Jesus Christ, you can imitate him. If your spiritual leader obeys and
follows the teachings of Jesus Christ, you can imitate him. Outside Jesus,
Christ is destruction.
Apostle Paul said, “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of
Christ.”
(See 1
Corinthians 11:1). Jesus
Christ is our light. Outside Him is darkness. When you ignore Jesus, you ignore
life. We follow Jesus Christ because He is the light of the world. Jesus is the
truth, life, and channel to God Almighty.
When the Romans crucified
Jesus Christ on the cross, total darkness covered the entire world. The death
of Jesus Christ brought darkness to the world (Luke 23:44). This means, outside
Jesus Christ is darkness.
Darkness brings torment,
injustice, sickness, disaster, and every evil you can think of. We must make
Jesus Christ our priority. Get my free book, “The Teachings of Jesus Christ” or read my articles titled, “The Teachings of Jesus Christ” It
is in sixteen episodes.
In my book, “How to Walk and Live in the Spirit,” I have explained how
Jesus Christ lived a sinless life. Get the book for a more profound revelation.
I will share with you how to imitate the lifestyle of Jesus Christ because He lived in holiness and He is our role model. Let’s read from the scriptures.
And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he
[Jesus
Christ] went out, and
departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
Mark 1:35 KJV (Emphasis added)
The scripture declares
that Jesus Christ prayed at certain hours. Jesus had a place of prayer. If
Jesus had a place of prayer, then it means we must also have a place of prayer.
The holy scripture declares that early in the morning, Jesus Christ would rise
to a solitary (desert, lonely, wilderness) place to pray.
Jesus had a prayer life. He
was a worshipper. Jesus worshipped His Heavenly Father in a secret place. He
made supplication to His Father in a place where no one could distract Him. We must
understand that prayer can be in the form of worship, supplication, and
praises. Get my book, “The
Seven Secret keys to an Answered Prayer,” for a more
profound revelation.
Prayer made Jesus Christ
Spirit conscious. Jesus knew the power of prayer. If you are a believer in Christ
Jesus and you don’t have a place of prayer, or you don’t have a prayer life,
you cannot activate the Spirit of holiness.
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is
willing, but the flesh is weak.
Matthew 26:41 KJV
The scripture declares
that our spirit desires to fellowship with the Holy Spirit, but our flesh
distracts our spirit (See Galatians 5:16-18). There is an invisible war between
the Holy Spirit, our spirit, and the flesh. Prayer is one of the greatest
weapons to break the desires of the flesh.
If you want to become a
complete believer in Jesus Christ, build a consistent prayer life. Prayer is
one lifeline of every believer. Failure to pray makes your flesh dominates your
spirit. Prayer makes us conscious of the Holy Spirit.
Worshipping God from our
heart is an art of prayer. Praising God from our heart is an art of prayer.
Prayer revitalizes our spirit and makes us conscious of celestial beings. It is
through prayer that we connect with the Spirit of holiness.
Holiness without prayer
is legalism. If you don’t have a prayer life, you will find it challenging to
connect with the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ could live in holiness because He
was a prayerful man. He communed with His Heavenly Father through prayer (worship,
praises, and intercession).
By the grace of God, I
have a prayer life. I pray (worship, praise, and intercede) almost every
midnight. It has become part of my life. The Holy Spirit always alerts me in
the middle of the night to pray. If you think Christianity is food and meat, the
world has deceived you (See Romans 14:17).
Make spiritual sacrifices
if you want to connect with the Spirit of holiness. Jesus Christ showed us the
way. Strategically praying positions us higher in the Spiritual realm. Know the
prophetic watch and pray as led by the Holy Spirit.
If you are not baptized in
the Spirit, get baptized. Praying in tongues is a powerful booster. When we
pray in tongues, the Holy Spirit builds our soul and revitalize our spirit.
Pray more in the Spirit because it regenerates our spirit. Praying in tongues
empowers our spirit to connect with the Spirit of holiness. It builds our faith
and makes us sensitive to the Holy Spirit (Meditate on 1 Corinthians 14:4,
Romans 8:26-27, Jude 1:20).
The time is now to build
a consistent prayer life. Disengage from carnal people and connect with the
Holy Spirit through prayer. Don’t solely depend on group prayers. In your
homes, office, and schools, build a prayer life. The Muslims pray five times a
day. The Jews pray a lot. Almost every religion prays to their gods because
they know the power of prayer.
There are times you have
to add fasting to your prayers to make your spirit active to the Holy Spirit. I have
realized in my Christian life that anytime I fast and pray; I see visions. It
is one of my secrets I have shared with you. Holiness without prayer is
frustration, depression, and mere morality.
- Pray if you want to connect with the Spirit of holiness.
- Pray if you want to become complete in Jesus Christ.
- Pray if you want the Holy Spirit to draw closer to you.
- Pray if you want to activate the Spirit of holiness in your heart.
- Pray if you want to walk on the path of Jesus Christ.
- Pray if you want to break the plans of the enemy.
- Pray if you want to make the Spirit of holiness to dominate your jurisdiction.
- Pray if you want your spirit to dominate the desires of the flesh.
- Pray if you want to be Spirit conscious.
- Pray if you don’t want to become a carnal Christian.
- Pray if you don’t want to become a soulish Christian.
- Pray if you don’t want to become a legalistic Christian.
- Pray if you want to become a perfect believer in Jesus Christ.
