How to Stand the Storms of Life 1 (Overcoming the Challenges of Life)
Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
John 16:32-33 KJV
Loved one in Christ
Jesus, I believe you are growing in the strength and wisdom of God. We are in
the last days, so don’t be discouraged. In these days, we shall experience
persecution. The system of the world will not be favorable because Apostle Paul
wrote the prophecies in the book of second Timothy, chapter three, verses one
to five.
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud,
blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent,
fierce, despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of
God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such
turn away.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 KJV
The only way to stand in these
days is to activate the virtue of endurance. Be firm and unmovable when things
are not moving as you expect. Jesus Christ is our only hope, so never doubt Him
and His Word.
Jesus Christ said we would
face opposition. The unbelievers will afflict and trouble us. They will
persecute and place burdens on us. Jesus said we should not fear because He has
overcome the world. If Jesus Christ has
overcome the world, then we are victorious because He lives in us in the person
of the Holy Spirit. We are victorious over the devil, the unbelievers, and the
pressure of this world. Hallelujah!
Analyzing my life, I
discern some Christians, and unbelievers have given up in life because they could
not stand the storms of life. Some have committed suicide because the storms
were too heavy for them.
I have good news for you.
The Holy Spirit has given me some keys, and I want to share some of these keys
with you. These keys will empower you to press on despite the affliction, persecution, and difficulty.
There are seasons in life
where we lose our loved ones. There are times; we face enemies because of our
success. There are times we jubilate and make merry. There are seasons that
natural laws produce.
We cannot break these
seasons because it is part of life (See Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). I want to share
with you how you can deal with the storms that stop and limit us from pursuing our
purpose in life. Get my series of books.
Request for a free copy if you cannot afford to buy the
books. Before I share with you these keys, I want to define storms of life
because storms are in levels.
- Storm of life can be insufficient or lack of money.
- Losing your job can be a form of a storm.
- Storms can be in the season of recession.
- Rejection from family and friends can be a storm in your life.
- The inability to provide the basic needs (food, water, and shelter) of your family can be a storm of life.
- Storms can be in the season of pandemic (CONVID-19).
- Storms can be in the season of inflation.
- The inability to meet your basic needs can be a form of a storm.
- Opposition from enemies, carnal, soulish, and legalistic Christians can be a form of a storm.
The question is, how should we deal with these storms as Christians? Remember, some storms can strengthen and make you creative. Facing certain storms can stretch your reasoning
capacity. It will make you use your mind to create opportunities.
I want to share with you
some keys that will help you the stand the storms that come our way. These
keys may work for unbelievers if they apply them in faith. Below are some of
the keys.
1. Apply the Virtue of Hope
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so
great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which
doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is
set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our
faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the
shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:1-2 KJV
The first key to break
the storms of life and become purposeful in life is to apply the virtue of
hope. Hope is a strong force that adds life to our soul (will power, emotions,
intellect, and desires). Hope means believing in the future.
If you are hopeful about
the future, you will press on despite the fear. Never give up because hope
makes you stand tall when things fall apart. When others give up, you stand
your ground because you are hopeful.
If you refuse to allow the things of the world
to stop you, you have hope. Hope makes all things brighter and cheerful. Hold
unto the virtue hope because, without hope, the storms of life will break you
and make you a loser. Hold unto the virtue of hope because the storms you are
facing are seasonal. You will not remain at the storm forever.
Never doubt Jesus Christ
because He understands your fear, weakness, and challenges.
Jesus Christ became like
us.
- He feels what we feel.
- He understands our pains and troubles.
- He feels our hunger.
- He understands the injustice done to us because He experienced it.
The religious people of
His time spat on Him, mocked, and abused Him. Jesus suffered under the hands of
the Romans. The devil and seductive women tempted Him. Some people wearied
Jesus. They crucified Jesus Christ because of our sins. Jesus understands our challenges, so don’t commit suicide. Jesus Christ is alive. Have hope in
Jesus. Never doubt His promises recorded in His Word (Holy Bible) because your storms are temporal!
