How to Stand the Storms of Life 2 (Overcoming the Challenges of life)

In episode one, I explained that we must apply the key of hope to hold the storms of life. In this episode, I will unveil to you three wisdom keys to enable you to overcome the storms of life. Below are the keys.

1. Imitate the faith of Abraham

(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb:He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

Romans 4:17-22 KJV

The next key to helping you break the storms of life is to apply the keys of Abram. God changed His name to Abraham when he obeyed His voice. We all know that Abraham is the father of faith. Abraham means father of a multitude. Abraham left his father’s house, not knowing where he was going. Can you imagine Abraham journeying to an unknown island?

You cannot break the storms of life if you stay in your comfort zone. There are times; you must vacate your place of comfort. God promised Abraham a son (Isaac). Abraham did not doubt God because he believed His promises. There were many shreds of evidence for Abraham to doubt God's promises. Abraham was 100 years, and his wife, Sarah was 90 years when God promised him a child.

Their age was a barrier, but God fulfilled His promise. Child of God, always believe the Word of God and ignore the evidence you see and hear. With God, all things are possible!

Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,

Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

…with God all things are possible.

God can break the natural laws when we need His intervention. God can help us if we believe and act on His Word. Experiment the faith of Abraham to enable you to break the storms limiting your progress.

2. Apply God’s Word (Holy Bible).

Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Jeremiah 23:29

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12 KJV

The Word of God is full of power and authority. The Word of God is unbreakable and indestructible. The Word can break the storms of life. To make the Word of God break the storms in your life, consistently feed, meditate, confess, and declare the promises of God recorded in the Word.

When your soul (will power, emotions, desire, intellect) becomes one with the Word, you command the celestial beings to assist you. When you become one with the Word, you enter the arena of God. Whatever you speak comes to pass because you have become one with the Word (Meditate on John 15:7). 

The creative forces within the Word will run in your soul and spirit when you become one with the Word. God harkens to His Word, so declare the promises recorded in the Word when you face the storm. Meditate on these scriptures.

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.

Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I WILL HASTEN MY WORD TO PERFORM IT.

Jeremiah 1:11-12 KJV

For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD.

Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off.

Therefore say unto them, THUS SAITH THE LORD GOD; THERE SHALL NONE OF MY WORDS BE PROLONGED ANY MORE, BUT THE WORD WHICH I HAVE SPOKEN SHALL BE DONE, SAITH THE LORD GOD.

4. Seek Positive Knowledge

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Hosea 4:6 KJV

One reason most people perish in life is because of ignorance. Ignorance is a silent killer. What you don’t know can kill you. Know these truths.

• The more you know, the higher you rise. In other words, the rate at which you rise depends on the information embedded in you.
• The more you know, the lesser your worries. In other words, you worry little if you know what to do.
• The more you know, the higher your chance of winning. In other words, the probability of you winning is greater when you have the right information.
• The more you know, the lesser your mistakes. In other words, you make little errors when you have the right information.
• The more you know, the higher you climb. In other words, you become a great person if you know what to do.
• The more you know, the higher you become. In other words, you command respect in a jurisdiction when you know how to solve problems. People will appoint you as a leader if you have solutions.
• The more you know, the higher your power. In other words, you hold the future of generations when you know what to do to bring a change. For example, you have ideas that can change a developing country to a developed country and build systems to make life comfortable.
• The more you know, the healthier you become. In other words, you don’t necessarily need someone to make you worthy because you know your value.
• The more you know, the faster your pace. In other words, you know the best decision to make to advance in life.
• The more you know, the higher your value. In other words, people invest in you when you have solutions.
• The more you know, the quicker you advance. In other words, you put things in the right place when you know what to do.
• The more you know, the easier life becomes. In other words, you worry little when you know what to do to change your status.
• The more you know, the little your worries. In other words, the curse and calamities in this life cannot dominate you when you have reasonable and proven plans to change your course.
• The more you know, the smarter you become. In other words, no one can cheat you if you know the system.
• The more you know, the higher your authority. In other words, people submit to you when you know what to do.
• The more you know, the quicker you break through the storms. Let me use the American slang; you don’t give a dem or a fuck to what people think about your circumstance because you know what to do to become successful.

I hope these few truths will challenge you to pursue knowledge. The more you read, the higher your inner reservoir (mind) expands. Your brain can learn new things if you feed it with relevant information. Your mind is a thousand times faster than the fastest computer in the world.

We know that light travels at a speed of 299,792 kilometers per second. Our mind process information faster than the speed of light. Your mind is full of creative ideas. All you need is the required knowledge to help you utilize God’s plan for your life. 

God rejects ignorant people because they limit Him in their ignorance. God can help you based on your knowledge you have acquired in His Word. The grace of God works with the knowledge you have received in the Word.

The storms of life cannot break you if you know the truth. God’s Word (Holy Bible) is the truth, and it is full of power. Read the Word alongside inspired Christian books and self-help books that can transform your life. Don’t ignore the Word of God because the Word (Holy Bible) is God’s constitution. Ignorance of the kingdom constitution limits the hands of God upon your life.

If you want to break the storms of life, never neglect the power of information. The reason most people are hopeless is that they lack knowledge. If you don’t want to fall into the category of the hopeless, be a voracious reader. Read and apply the godly principle you learned in the books, and the storms of life will never overtake you. Meditate on this scripture.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
