The Adventures on the road to the celestial city (8)
Loved one in Christ
Jesus, I believe you are growing in the strength of the Lord. This is lesson
eight on my teachings, the adventures on the road to God's kingdom. Kindly
read the previous lessons for
a more profound revelation. God is doing great things in our lives behind the
scenes.
By the grace of God, the Holy Spirit has shown me some things I never knew about myself. We must be careful when we think we are holy because of our morality. If the Holy Spirit should reveal to you the things that are hidden in your heart, you will always pray to God to consecrate your heart. Meditate on these scriptures.
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Jeremiah 17:9 KJV
...we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are
as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the
wind, have taken us away.
Isaiah 64:6 KJV
He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
Proverbs 28:26 KJV
I thought my heart was
right with God until the Holy Spirit revealed to me in dreams and visions
several things about my heart. There are some things we must repent from because
it distances us from the Holy Spirit. We might think they are irrelevant, or
they do not matter, but in the sight of God, He expects us to repent.
It is my prayer you
pray, a prayer of sanctification. We must pray that God will sanctify our heart
because the hidden thoughts of our hearts are desperately wicked as the Prophet
Jeremiah declared. The Lord showed some things I had in my heart. I did not
believe some iniquities were in my heart until the Holy Spirit revealed them to me.
The Holy Spirit used a
man of God I follow in the spiritual realm to speak to me. The Prophet of God
gave me a profound scripture in my dream. When I checked from the living Word
(Holy Bible), it surprised me because I thought I was holy by my
morality.
Let us be careful when
we think we are holier than God (Meditate on 1 Samuel 2:2, Ecclesiastes 7:20,
Exodus 15:11 and Job 4:17). I have observed in my Christian life that God
becomes jealous when we think we are holy by our morality.
I never thought I had
these invisible sins (pride, anger, lust, and self-righteousness) in my heart. God is calling us to repent from these inward sins because it grieves Him. I became conscious of my
spiritual life and my eternal destination because I thought my good works validated my glory in Heaven. I never knew the Holy Spirit was not happy with me.
Child of God, never
allow your good works, morality, and the success you experience in your
spiritual life and ministry blindfold you. You might think God is pleased with
you, but He is not. Sometimes you have to fast and pray because, in this
season, the Holy Spirit will reveal to you something that grieves Him (Meditate on Ephesians 4:30).
The dangerous zone is
when you hardened your heart when the Holy Spirit rebukes you through visions, dreams, His
servants, and the Word (Holy Bible). As I am growing in the Lord, I realize God is more concerned about our hearts than our good works (Meditate on 1
Samuel 15:22, and Proverbs 23:26; 4:23).
We may think our success
or good works means God is pleased with us. The silence of God does not mean He
condones our actions. It is a dangerous thing to work for God when He does not
know you. Let us be careful about how we work with the Holy Spirit because success does not
mean we are in the will of God.
God may be speaking to you to work on your heart before you proceed to the next step in the ministry. God works with principles. Until we pass the mark, He will not promote us to the next stage of the ministry. Meditate on these scriptures.
For
promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the
south.
But
God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
Psalm 75:6-7 KJV
Incoming young ministers
must fast and pray because it is at this season the Holy Spirit gets the chance
to reveal His plans to you and show you the wickedness in your heart. I am glad
the Holy Spirit revealed to me the hidden thoughts (invisible sins) in my
heart.
Although the Holy Spirit
has revealed to me the hidden thoughts of my heart several times. I did not
take it seriously until the Holy Spirit revealed to me some of my experiences.
God is a loving Father. He does not want us to perish. God desires to be at
peace with us.
Behold,
I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I
will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Revelation 3:20 KJV
The grace and the
mercies of God are great. When we come to God with a sincere and humble heart,
He reveals to us the secrets of our hearts. It is time we cry unto the Holy
Spirit to sanctify our soul for the harvest. The fact that we are not sinning
outwardly does not mean God is pleased with us.
Maybe you don’t
fornicate, steal, speak evil of others, slander, or insult others. That
is good. Have you asked yourself about the lust in your heart, the invisible
pride, self-righteousness, the anger, unforgiveness, and bitterness in your
heart?
Don’t become a victim of
this prophecy.
Not
every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of
heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many
will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and
in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And
then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work
iniquity.
Matthew 7:21-23 KJV
Read my article, The Heart 1 and The Heart 2 for a more
profound revelation.
I felt in my heart I
should share these truths with you. Let's get to today's topic. The
adventures on the road to the celestial city. In the letters of Apostle Paul to
the church in Thessalonica, Apostle Paul made a profound statement. Let’s read.
Finally,
brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course,
and be glorified, even as it is with you:
And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
2 Thessalonians 3:1 KJV
Apostle Paul pleaded
with the church in Thessalonica that they should intercede for him and other
disciples so that God will deliver them from unreasonable, lawless and
wicked people. This means every Christian must be careful of these three
categories of people.
1. Unreasonable
people.
2. Wicked people and
3. Faithless people.
- Unreasonable people.
If you don’t pray, you
can encounter people who are careless of their actions. Their thinking capacity
and logical faculties do not function well. Woe to a man or woman who meets such
people in their life. Can you imagine a person or an insane group fighting you?
It is part of the cost
we incur because of prayerlessness and carnality. If you don’t pray, insane people and groups
will attack your spiritual life and ministry. Analyze in the first stage; these
people cannot think in the right way.
Their thought pattern
does not agree with the thought of sound men and the Word of God. These
people think like animals. Can you fight with people who think like animals? Some
people don’t mind undressing in public just to fight and disgrace you.
Some people don’t mind
killing you to get temporal things such as money, house, cars, and food. Such
people are unreasonable. Failure to build a prayer life will open the door for these people to access your ministry and spiritual life. If you want to escape from unreasonable
people, build a fellowship with the Holy Spirit through prayer.
- Wicked people.
The next category of
people Apostle Paul describes are the wicked people. Let’s search from Mickelson's
Enhanced Strong's Greek and Hebrew Dictionaries, the meaning of “Wicked.”
Poneros
1. hurtful, i.e. evil
2. (figuratively) calamitous
3. (passively) ill, i.e. diseased
4. (especially, morally) culpable,
i.e. derelict, vicious, atrociously wicked
5. (neuter, singular) mischief,
malice
6. (neuter plural) guilt
7. (masculine, singular) the devil
8. (plural) sinners
KJV: bad, evil, grievous, harm, lewd, malicious,
wicked(-ness)
This means if you don’t
build a prayer life, you can encounter people who act like the devil. Remember, the
devil came to steal, kill, and destroy (Meditate on John 10:10 or
get my book Visions of the Night).
I remember I had a dream where I saw an older man (agent of the devil probably
an evil traditional priest) commanding thunder to strike me.
In the dream, He
commanded the first thunder, but it did not strike me. I could discern in the
dream that this older man monitored me in the spiritual realm. In the dream, He
commanded the thunder several times to strike me but to no avail.
I could discern in the
dream that some spiritual powers blocked the thunder from killing me. In the
dream, I thought this older man would stop, but he kept commanding the thunder
to strike me. In the dream, I saw that the thunder backfired.
The thunder struck this wicked old man, and he died in the dream. When I wake up from the bed, I gave thanks
to God for protecting me from this wicked attack in the spiritual realm. The
devil will never attack you until it has a shred of evidence. The blood of
Jesus Christ will speak for you when you walk in divine love.
Child of God, if you
don’t build a prayer life, atrocious people such as witches, wizards,
necromancers, sorcerers, vicious occult groups, Satanists, magicians, evil
traditional priest and other human agents of the devil will attack you
(Meditate on Matthew 10:16, and Ephesians 6:10-18).
These evil people can
hurt you and your family with no sense of guilt. These people receive joy when
others suffer. They act like serial killers and wicked dictators (Ted Bundy,
Erzsebet Bathory, David Berkowitz, Jim Jones, and the rest). Evil people are
sadists. They rejoice in an environment full of war and disaster. These are the
people we are likely to encounter if we fail to build a prayer life.
- Faithless people.
The last category of
people Apostle Paul describes are the faithless people. King David describes
these people in the book of Psalms. Let’s read.
The
fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are
they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that
doeth good.
Psalm 53:1 KJV
Another name for these
people is unbelievers. We know these people as atheists. David calls them fools
(stupid and wicked). These people only live after the dictates of their flesh
and corrupted conscience.
Can you deal with
someone who disregards the existence of God? Child of God, be ready for these
people if you are not prayerful. As I am writing to you, some sincere
Christians are in prisons and uncomfortable places facing injustice.
If you don’t want to end up in the hands of unreasonable, wicked, and faithless people, build a consistent prayer life. Join the workforce in the church and be an intercessor because someone needs your prayer.
