The Rewards on the Road to the Celestial City (7)

Loved one in Christ Jesus, I believe you are growing in the strength of the Lord. As we wait and prepare for our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ, be prayerful because the atmosphere is not conducive for carnality.

I always discern in the spirit the Holy Spirit alerting me of impending dangers when I walk outside God’s will for my life. One sign you are alive in the Spirit is when you can discern the Holy Spirit's voice all the time.

Some decisions we make in life opens the portal for the devil and his minions to take advantage of us (Meditate on Ephesians 4:27). Child of God, don’t be ignorant and carnal in these last days because the adversary is working tirelessly through demons, technology, and human beings to distract us from connecting with God’s plan for our lives.

Living in ignorance and carnality opens a gate for the devil and his agents to attack. I know what I am writing to you because the devil tried to attack me heavily when I made a mistake in God's plans for my life. The Holy Spirit is always speaking, and it is your responsibility to tune in to His frequency.

As we all know, the Holy Spirit speaks to us in several ways. He speaks to us through His messengers, the Word (Holy Bible), holy angels, visions, trance, godly parents, leaders, and godly friends. Download my free book, How to Hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, for more wisdom keys.

One of the frequent ways the Holy Spirit speaks to us is through dreams because dreams allow us to know His plans and the enemy’s plans (Meditate on Job 33:14-18). God reveals the plans of the enemy to enable us to overcome them. Failure to fast, watch, and pray activates the enemy's plans for your life (Meditate on Matthew 26, 41, 1 Peter 5:8-9).

In the dream world, our spirit and soul are more sensitive to the Holy Spirit's voice and other spirits because, in this season, the activities of the flesh are silenced. If you cannot remember your dream, then there is something wrong with your spirit and soul.

It might be that you are weak in the spirit, or the Word and the Holy Spirit have not dominated your soul and rekindled your spirit. Another reason you cannot recall your dreams is because of the invisible sins in your heart. Know these truths.

  • Invisible sins such as ungodly anger, pride, jealousy, malice, unforgiveness, and hatred blind and weakens your spirit.
  • Invisible sins mute the senses of your spirit and soul, not to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit.
  • Invisible sins make the path of your spirit and soul dark.
  • Invisible sins break your spiritual antenna and reduce you to the stature of the unbelievers.
  • Invisible sins authorize the demons to attack you in the spirit.
  • Invisible sins make your soul and spirit submit to the fruits of the flesh.
  • Invisible sins make the Holy Spirit weak in your spiritual life.
  • Invisible sins make you irresponsive to the Word of God.
  • Invisible sins corrupt your heart and make you follow the counsels of the devil and his agents.

Allow the Holy Spirit to set you free from invisible sins by submitting your soul to the Word of God. The more your soul (mind, desires, willpower, emotions, and intellect) is renewed with the Word (Holy Bible), the higher your soul becomes sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit (Meditate on Romans 12:1-2, 1 Peter 2:2).

Activate the senses of your spirit through Spirit-filled prayers (tongues speaking), fellowship with the Holy Spirit (through spiritual songs), and connect with spiritual Christians (Meditate on 1 Corinthians 14:4).

When I say spiritual Christians, I mean those who walk and operate in the Holy Spirit's gifts and fruits. Real Christians exhibit the love of God. Strong Christian believers can sharpen you in the spirit and make your spirit and soul sensitive to the leadership of the Holy Spirit (Meditate on Proverbs 27:17).

As we journey to the promised land (Celestial City), be sensitive to the Holy Spirit because many voices distract us from following the path of God. Such voices may come from your family and friends, boss, environment, media, and enemies.

Always stay in the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit because, in this jurisdiction, the devil and his cohorts can never break through to attack you (Meditate on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, 1 Samuel 16:25). You are always safe under the umbrella of Jesus Christ if you walk and live in the Spirit (Meditate on Psalm 91:1, Romans chapter eight in the holy scriptures).

As we all know, willful and consistent sin opens the portal for the enemy to attack. Don’t be ignorant of the wages that follow sins because sin shortens human life. The reason people die young these days is because of willful and consistent sin. (Meditate on Romans 6:23).

As the scriptures declare, "The wages of sin are death." Sin will always lead to death because it a seed of the devil. One reason people died at an older age in Adam and Eve's time was that sin was not rampant in those days. The more people sin, the more they get nearer to their grave. Get my book, Spiritual Keys for Life for more wisdom keys on sin.

The more people sin, the stronger the spirit of death receives power to attack. It is like pouring diesel into the fire. That is how willful and consistent sin empowers the spirit of death, hell, and graveyard. The road to the Celestial city may be difficult in some seasons because the holy scriptures record it.

And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Revelation 2:8-11 KJV

These are the precious words of Jesus Christ. The Anointed Saviour of the world makes us understand that He is the first and the last, Study the words carefully, “These things saith the first and the last.” If Jesus Christ is the first and the last, then it means all things began from Him.

Nothing existed without the knowledge of Jesus Christ. The creation of the world began in Jesus Christ. All the visible and invisible things we see in the earthly and spiritual world emanated from Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the end of all things (Meditate on Colossians 1:16).

Jesus Christ knows the end from the beginning. Jesus knows our Heavenly Father plans for our lives. He knows our potentials, purpose, vision, mission, and thoughts. We can never hide anything from Jesus Christ because He is omniscient.

Some people can hide their motives, plans, ideas, and vision from you, but they can never hide them from Jesus because He knows everything. You only deceive yourself when you think you can mock Jesus and walk away (Meditate Galatians 6:7).

Jesus sees everything in our hearts. We can never hide from Jesus because He is omnipresent (He is everywhere).

Jesus the Christ knows the motives behind our actions. He knows our fears, patience, courage, faith, love, hatred, jealousy, pride, joy, patience, and every invisible virtue of humankind. The Word (both Jesus and the Holy Scriptures) can judge every motive behind our actions (Meditate on Hebrews 4:12).

This is one reason; we must come before the Heavenly Father with a sincere heart because Jesus knows our weakness and strength. You cannot pretend before Jesus; He knows your end from the beginning. He is the first of all things.

Jesus knows every man (includes women) living on earth. He knows your parents, family lineage, level of education, and every section of your life. Never hide anything from Jesus Christ because He knows all things. Jesus Christ is always ready to reconcile with us in this grace season when we come to Him with a sincere heart.

Jesus Christ further states, “these things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;” Jesus died and rose on the third for our justification. Muhammed, Zoroaster, Krishna, Confucious, Gautama Buddha, and other religious leaders died and never came to life.

Jesus Christ gave His life as a ransom for our sins. He died for our sins and rose on the third day to enable us to have an eternal experience in the Celestial City. Christian believers shall rise from the dead on the rapture because our Saviour and Lord have defeated death.

We have dominion over the spirit of death because Jesus Christ lives in us. Death can never hold us captives in his prison because Jesus Christ is greater than death. Don’t be fearful of death because even if you die physically, you will be alive in the Spirit.

Jesus Christ further states, “I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.”

Jesus Christ knows and understands our labour of love, anguish, burdens, persecution, tribulation, and trouble. Never in your life think Jesus doesn’t care for you. Jesus sees and understands all the persecution we are passing through because He suffered the same fate when He walked on earth as a man.

Never allow the sufferings you are encountering to break you from the love of God because it is seasonal. The suffering will build you for a greater harvest if you endure. Poverty does not mean Jesus Christ is not with you. You may be deficient in some aspect of your life, but you are wealthy in the Celestial city!

Jesus said to the angel (messenger of the gospel, pastor, bishop, elder, leader of the church), don’t allow the temporal poverty to discourage you because He has prepared great treasures for all that follow Him faithfully.

Jesus knows poverty may destroy His vessels' faith and make them backslide, but He is assuring us we shouldn’t allow the temporal glory of this world to destroy our faith in Him.  Instead, we should be encouraged and pursue the assignment He has prepared for us.

The world and some “Christians” may conclude you are poor, but that is not how Jesus Christ sees you. Jesus sees you as a wealthy vessel. Jesus knows the treasures (wisdom, gifts, power, anointing, and knowledge) deposited in you so don’t give up. Jesus knows your mansion in the Celestial City.

The eye and the heart of Jesus is different from the world's vision (Meditate on Isaiah 55:6-9). See yourself as Jesus sees you, not as the world, and some Christians see you. Don’t allow the gossip, mockery, slander, and persecution of the world, and some religious unbelievers distract you from entering the Celestial City.

Jesus said, “Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.”

Anytime you encounter Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the holy angels, and the vessels of God, the first Word that comes out of their tongue is FEAR NOT. We make this statement because fear can grapple your faith. When you allow fear to dominate you, you open yourself up to the enemy (Meditate on 2 Timothy 1:7 or get my book, The Mysteries of Fear). Know these truths.

  • Jesus Christ does not impart fear. He imparts faith so reject any voice that makes you fearful of God's plans for your life.
  • The words of Jesus Christ always bring life, so any word that brings torment to your spirit and soul must be condemned by declaring the promises of God's Word.
  • When you are hopeless, the words of Jesus Christ bring hope to your life, so reject any voice that makes you useless in life.
  • When you are discouraged, Jesus Christ empowers you to be bold and courageous so always accept words that rekindle you to make exploit in God's kingdom.
  • When you are timid, Jesus empowers you to be vigilant so reject any voice makes you unproductive in life.
  • When you are faithless, the words of Jesus upgrade your faith, so only accept words that build you up in the things of God.
  • When you are confused, the words Jesus Christ makes you purposeful, so reject any voice that makes you disturbed.
  • When you are sad, the words of Jesus bring joy to your life, so reject any voice that makes you regret life.

Some Christian believers are suffering in prisons and specific locations of the world because the environment and laws ruling that jurisdiction do not permit them to serve God the church wholeheartedly.

History makes us understand that Christian believers suffered a lot in the twentieth century compared to other centuries. Read the martyrdom of Polycarp, the martyrdom of first-century disciples (the twelve disciples of Jesus Christ), God’s Generals, and various Christian missionaries martyred because of their faith and love for Jesus Christ and the church.

It is time you intercede for Christian believers in prisons and countries facing persecution. Without our earnest prayers, the devil and his minions will hold the faithful Christian believers’ captives and destroy their faith (Meditate on 1 Timothy 2:1-3).

Jesus Christ is looking for your faithfulness. He said, "Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." Jesus desires loyalty because that virtue empowers Him to invest more of His grace and anointing into us for the great harvest. Never allow the fear of death to separate you from the love of Jesus Christ and the work of God because your reward is eternal!

As you stay connected to the Holy Spirit, you will escape the lake of fire. Crowns are awaiting Christian workers like you in the Celestial City. Let the seal of faithfulness be on your spiritual garment, and you will receive the glorious reward Jesus has prepared for you. Glory to God!
