The Rewards on the Road to the Celestial City (15)
Loved one in Christ
Jesus, I believe you are growing in the strength of the Lord. As we wait for
our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ, guard your spirit and soul with the Word
(Holy scriptures) and Spirit-filled prayers.
One of the best spiritual
antidotes to help you prevail in the storms and adventures of
life is to see the greatness and sovereignty of God. See Christ Jesus above
your circumstance. The moment you think about the challenges you are passing through,
you undermine the power of God in your life.
The holy angels of God
(Archangels, Powers, Virtues, Authorities, Cherubs, and Seraphim’s) are
watching your faith in God’s Word. The moment you allow your five senses to
dominate the power of God’s Word in your life, you give the devil and his
minions the ability to manipulate and defeat you in the realms of the Spirit.
If you study the ministry
of Jesus Christ in the holy scriptures, you will observe that He always
responded to people of faith. As soon as Jesus sees their faith, He endorses
them. Talk of miracles, Jesus did mighty works (deliverance, healing, and
ministry) by faith.
It is a spiritual law
you must not ignore if you want to sprout in the realms of the Spirit. Most
often, our battles begin in the spiritual realm. If you don’t take dominion in
the realms of the Spirit, you become a slave in the earth realm. This is one
reason Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Corinth.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty
through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself
against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the
obedience of Christ;
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 KJV
Our battle is not a physical
fight. Fighting the brethren is a waste of time. It is like opposing the wind.
You dissipate your strength, unprofitably. The best channel to live and walk in
victory in your spiritual life is to pull down the mind and spirit's
strongholds.
Until you defeat the strongholds
(deceptive beliefs, philosophies, faith, culture, traditions, and mindset), you
are still a prisoner in the enemy’s kingdom. It is like a fish trying to
survive on earth. Such a fish will not survive because that is not its domain.
The fish can dominate in
water because that is where it can function. The Christian life is a spiritual
journey, and it takes spiritual strategies (faith and wisdom) to walk in victory. Until you
recognize the essence of the spiritual world, you are a slice of meat in the
hands of heartless human beings and evil spirits.
Jesus Christ is far above
every power and authority. By God’s grace, we are seated with Christ Jesus in
the heavenly places. It would be best if you exercised divine authority in the
name of Jesus Christ. Failure to exercise divine authority will empower the
spiritual powers to manipulate you.
I gave you these spiritual keys because I want you to walk in divine wisdom and authority. You can get my series of books; I have exposed more revelation on the systems of the devil and how you can walk in victory.
Remember Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Corinth that they must not
be ignorant of the enemy's devices least he takes advantage of them (See 2
Corinthians 2:11). Remember Satan hindered Paul several times in his ministry
(See 1 Thessalonians 2:17-18). The devil used some religious and worldly
leaders to kill most of the early apostles. You must exercise divine authority.
In this article, I will
share with you some visions Apostle John had. These visions are warning and
also an encouragement to church leaders.
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans
write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the
beginning of the creation of God;
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot:
I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold
nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with
goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and
miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire,
that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that
the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve,
that thou mayest see.
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous
therefore, and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man
hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him,
and he with me.
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in
my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his
throne.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit
saith unto the churches.
Revelation 3:14-22 KJV
In this vision, Christ
Jesus revealed himself as
1. The Amen.
2. The Faithful.
3. The True Witness.
4. The beginning of God’s
creation.
This means Christ Jesus
is entirely trustworthy. We should put all our faith in Christ Jesus only
because He has declared Himself as faithful, truthful, holy, complete, and
righteous. No one is as holy as God Almighty, and we can see from the words of
Christ Jesus that He declares Himself as God Almighty.
Christ Jesus declares
that He is the beginning of God’s creation. You may assume God created Jesus if
you study the Word literally. Christ Jesus declares that He is the origin of
all creation (all things). Nothing existed without the knowledge of Jesus
Christ.
Everything that has
breath began from Jesus Christ. Let me give you this scenario. Someone created
the electronic device (phone, computer, or laptop) you are using to read my
article. Without the manufacturer, the electronic device (phone, computer or laptop) cannot exist. You cannot read
my article without the device.
No one created the manufacturer because He is self-existent. It is through the manufacturer that the phone came into being. The manufacturer is Christ Jesus. The electronic device (phone, computer, or laptop) are the living things we see on earth (human beings, animals, trees, spiritual forces, and every tangible item).
Remember, Jesus created good things (See Genesis 1:31). Without Christ Jesus, nothing can exist because He holds the whole world's life (spiritual and physical world). This should let you understand that we are serving the Almighty God (Christ Jesus). Hallelujah!
Jesus further stated,
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot:
I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and
neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Revelation 3:15-16 KJV
It looks like Jesus is
concern about our works in His kingdom because almost all visions Apostle John
had, Jesus, sated “I know thy works.” Any believer in Christ who professes to walk in the
footsteps of the Holy Spirit and fails to produce good works (evangelism,
intercession, working in the house of God) is weak or not born again.
Jesus declared that some
leaders in the church are neither cold nor warm. These leaders in the vineyard
have two faces. They join the unbelievers in their wickedness and work
faithfully in the church. These leaders think the church is their personal
property, so they treat the souls as they like.
Jesus is not happy with
such leaders because they are inconsistent in the kingdom assignment. The
kingdom assignment needs full concentration. If you cannot invest your
strength, resource, and heart into God’s kingdom, Jesus will vomit you out of
his mouth on the final day.
Jesus will cast you out
as a leader in His vineyard if you don’t give all your strength to build His
kingdom. Child of God, the kingdom business is not for lazy people. It is for
people who are prepared to sacrifice. If you cannot fast and pray and seek the
face of God, you are weak to be in the Kingdom troop.
If you are carnal, you cannot
lead the church to the promised land. Jesus needs people who are sensitive to
the voice and leadership of the Holy Spirit. If you are a leader in God’s
kingdom and all that you know is human help, Jesus is saying, He will cast you
away from his kingdom.
Jesus needs people who
can depend on Him. He needs people who have dominated the desires of the flesh.
People who allow the desires of the flesh to dominate cannot walk with the Holy
Spirit. If you walk in the desires of the flesh (See Galatians 5:19-21), you
will find it challenging to walk with the Holy Spirit. You can get my series of books for a more profound revelation.
Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with
goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable,
and poor, and blind, and naked:
Revelation 3:17 KJV
Some Christian leaders
think the kingdom prosperity is about temporal things such as cars, houses, aeroplanes,
money, business, and mansions. Jesus says you are blind in the Spirit, you are the most
pathetic and miserable person in this world if all your hope and life lies in
these mundane things.
You are like a naked
person who has a psychiatric problem if you think earthly treasures is a
confirmation of God’s blessings. There are many blessings your physical eyes
have not seen. The moment you place all your faith in earthly treasures, the
devil has captured you in his prison.
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous
therefore, and repent.
Revelation 3:19 KJV
One sign of a father’s
love is that he rebukes his child and teaches him the ways of God. All of us
need guidance. Jesus Christ knows we are weak in the flesh, so He gave us the
Holy Spirit to assist us in our walk to the Celestial City.
If you are in a habit
that contradicts the Word of God, Jesus is calling you to repentance. Maybe you
have the zeal of God with no knowledge, love, temperance, godliness, and faith.
You can be a religious person in the house of God and fail to exercise the
fruits of the Holy Spirit.
You can operate in the
gifts of the Holy Spirit and fail to exercise in the fruit of the Holy Spirit
(See Galatians 5:22-23). You can be angry about someone in your heart because
the person is advancing than you. Don’t think the person is competing with you.
Check your heart and
commune with the Holy Spirit to refine and ignite your heart. Your heart needs a
spiritual operation. Anytime God speaks to you about something you must repent
of, it is a sign of His love.
- Maybe you are mistreating the souls in the church; Jesus is calling you to repent.
- Maybe you are sleeping with the people in the church; Jesus is calling you to repent.
- Maybe you are embezzling the funds of the church; Jesus is calling you to repent.
- Maybe you are mistreating some of the leaders in the church; Jesus is calling you to repent.
- Perhaps you are in a habit that contradicts the Word of God; Jesus is calling you to repent.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man
hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him,
and he with me.
Revelation 3:20 KJV
Christ Jesus is a loving Father;
He is always ready to accept us when we repent and come unto Him. Some people
may not forgive you, but Jesus is always ready to forgive. Anytime your heart
condemns you of your actions, it means Jesus Christ (Holy Spirit) is speaking
to you.
Jesus needs your heart.
He wants to fellowship with you through the Holy Spirit. Jesus wants to be your
friend. You must open your heart unto Him. He will wash you from all your sins
and make you holy in the spiritual realm. Hallelujah!
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in
my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his
throne.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit
saith unto the churches.
Revelation 3:21-22 KJV
Here comes the reward. If
you repent from dead works and add to your faith the fruits of the Holy Spirit
(love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, and faith), Jesus will give you the spiritual license
to sit with Him on His throne in the Celestial City.
What a glory to sit with
Christ Jesus on His throne. We will sit as Kings, Priests, and Prophets and
rule with Christ Jesus! Glory to God!
