The Rewards on the Road to the Celestial City (16)
Loved one in Christ
Jesus, I believe you are growing in the strength of the Lord. Child of God,
count it a blessing and favour when you are alive. If the Holy Spirit should
open the eyes of your spirit, you will be praying for God’s intervention all
the time.
The early Apostles knew
the spiritual world's activities, so they commanded the disciples of Christ
Jesus to pray. Jesus commanded us to watch and pray because He knew the
operations of the spiritual world (Meditate on 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Matthew
26:41).
If you are born again,
the kingdom of darkness will fight you whether or not you like it. The born-again
experience is not only about church attendance. Being born again is a spiritual
transformation that happens to your spirit and soul (Meditate on 2 Corinthians
5:17).
A born-again man
(includes women) is the one that has repented and accepted Christ Jesus as His
Saviour and Lord of his life. Some people see Jesus as their Saviour. That is a
half-truth. Jesus is also our Lord. Read this article for a more profound revelation.
Jesus is Lord over our business,
family, education, and all areas of our life. Being born again means you walk
in the footsteps of Christ Jesus (Obedience to the holy scriptures). You put
away the old (Adamic) nature and put on the nature of Christ Jesus (walking and living in the Spirit).
Most people often think,
if you confess Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord of your life, that is all.
That is a significant error. One sign you are born again is that the fruit (See
Galatians 5:22-23) of the Holy Spirit manifest in your life.
Any man who claims to be
born again and fails to produce the Holy Spirit's fruits is not born again. You
may operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and still not be born again. Meditate
on this scripture.
For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
Romans 11:29 KJV
If you are born again, we
see Christ Jesus's nature and the virtues of the Holy Spirit in you. Whatever
comes out of your heart (tongue and actions) helps us discern the spirit you
carry. If you claim to be born again and don’t exhibit the Holy Spirit's nature,
you are not born again.
A born-again man is the
one that cherishes the Word of God above everything. Someone who exhibits the
seed of love, holiness, faith other characteristics of the Holy Spirit is born
again. You cannot declare to be born again and walk in darkness (misery, destruction, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness).
True Christians express
the agape (unconditional love) towards God’s creation (human beings, animals,
plants, and everything with breath). I gave you these wisdom keys to help you
walk in victory in your Christian life.
In his article, I will share
some letters Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Corinth. These epistles are
great treasures to our soul.
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a
far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which
are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things
which are not seen are eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 KJV
First of all, Apostle
Paul talks of affliction (anguish,
burdened, persecution, tribulation, trouble). Kindly read these
articles, The Adventures on the Road to the Celestial City, for more
wisdom keys.
Apostle Paul declares
that our afflictions are for a temporal time. The pains we pass through as
children of God increase our eternal glories in the Celestial City. What a
great revelation! From the letters of Apostle Paul, I can interpret that the
greater our storms, challenges, persecutions, troubles, and oppositions
we receive from ignorant religious people and unbelievers, the greater our
rewards in the Celestial City.
Child of God, don’t
complain when you are going through some afflictions because some Christian believers
suffer greater persecutions. The greater your afflictions, the greater your
rewards in the Celestial City.
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which
are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things
which are not seen are eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18 KJV
We must focus on our
spiritual blessings because they are eternal. The mansions and temporal
properties we see on this planet will pass away. I believe you marked the words
of Apostle Paul “While
we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen:
for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not
seen are eternal.”
Apostle Paul was not
concerned about the things of this world. He focused on the treasures Christ
Jesus was preparing for him in the Celestial City. Paul continues in his
letters.
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were
dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in
the heavens.
2 Corinthians 5:1 KJV
I can interpret the
earthly house in two ways.
1. Human body and
2. Temporal things of
this world.
On earth, architects and
builders construct structures (houses) with ordinary materials that expire. Most
often, professionals reconstruct the building to make the old building new. As
the system of the world upgrades, systems and technology also change.
You cannot rely on your
Samsung Galaxy S4 as the most significant phone in life because the manufacturers
of Samsung phones have updated it. The material you valued some years ago is no
more relevant today because the manufacturers have upgraded it.
In the Celestial City,
Christ Jesus and His angels are creating wonderful mansions for us. No man on
earth can compare these mansions with earthly treasures. On earth, our body
becomes weak because it is vulnerable. We shall put on a glorious (uncorrupted)
body in the Celestial City (See 1 Corinthians 15:51-54).
Sometimes people make
mistakes when creating materials. As a result of their errors, it brings
challenges to humankind. In the Celestial City, all things are perfect (no need
for update) because they are made with perfect hands, minds, and power.
For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our
house which is from heaven:
2 Corinthians 5:2 KJV
In verse two of second Corinthians chapter five, Paul declares that he desires with all his heart, and
sometimes he cries deeply in his heart to be clothed with God's glories. On
earth, we face temptations, accusations, hatred, slander, and all forms of
wickedness because the devil and his minions manipulate the unrepentant human
beings and systems of the world to fight us.
If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
2 Corinthians 5:3 KJV
Paul further states that in
the Celestial City, disgrace will be no more. Wicked spirits and people will
not get the chance to fire arrows of fear, confusion, depression, conflict,
jealousy, and other negative invisible virtues to distract and make us
vulnerable to the devices of the devil and cohorts.
The angels of God will encamp
around us in the Celestial City. We will not have a sense of self-consciousness
in the Celestial City because our focus will be on Christ Jesus. The power of
sin cannot enter the Celestial City; we will have the free desire to walk and live like
Christ Jesus.
I believe you remember
the lesson from Adam and Eve in the book of Genesis. When they ate from the
tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they became conscious of themselves.
When they heard the voice of God, they tried to cover their nakedness with fig
leaves.
Sin made them naked in
the sight of God. In the Celestial City, Christ Jesus will remove the thought
of nakedness from our minds. In the Celestial City, you will not feel inferior
in the sight of Christ Jesus because the angels of God will cover you with a holy garment.
This garment will make us think like the holy angels. It will make us operate on the same level as
the holy angels. We can appear before Christ Jesus without a sense of fear because
we are not naked. Adam felt incomplete and lost in the sight of God because sin
made him naked (fearful). Sin made Adam and Eve naked (proud and self-willed) before
God.
In the Celestial City,
Christ Jesus will eliminate the seed (mindset and garment) of nakedness (pride
and self-willed) from us. We shall be like Christ Jesus on that special day!
For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not
for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be
swallowed up of life.
2 Corinthians 5:4 KJV
Sometimes we feel weak,
pain, and distress in our body because it has limitations. I have never seen a
man who has never slept, visited the washroom, lavatory, and eaten in life.
Every man, born of a woman, feels weak in the body at certain hours because we
are limited in strength.
I bought and read a book
called The Mystery of the Maharishi of Mountain Kailash. In this book,
Sundar Sadhu Singh (Christian missionary) described a Maharishi (a man over 300
years) who lives in the Himalaya mountains as an intercessor for the saints in Christ
Jesus.
In the Maharishi case, he
could survive in the deep and cold mountains because of God’s special grace and
protection. Aside from that, all of us cannot live peacefully on earth without
bathing, brushing our teeth, and caring for the body.
In the Celestial City, we
don’t have to bother ourselves bathing, brushing our teeth, visiting the
washroom, and caring for the body because Christ Jesus has made us glorious as
He is. Hallelujah! Are you preparing to enter the Celestial City?
