Why Christians Must Occupy Every Leadership Position
Leadership is one of the
most important roles in the race of humankind. Without proper leadership, the
world will be in a disaster. God Almighty Himself is a leader. He created
different angels (cherubs, seraphs, archangels, dominions, principalities,
virtues, and ministering angels) to serve His purpose.
These angels have a role
to play in the leadership of God. God is omnipotent, omniscient, and
omnipresent, and there is no need for Him creating angels to assist Him. Yet,
in His wisdom, He created these spiritual forces to enable Him to work
successfully as a Leader.
God can live alone
without His creation because in Him is life, love, joy, peace, and every
positive virtue we can think of. God created plants, animals, and other
creations to produce out of its kind.
After God created the
tangible things we see on this earth, He created human beings to control His
creation. That is our leadership position. God has delegated some of His
leadership responsibilities to us.
The moment we ignore the
role of leadership in our life, we become rebellious in the sight of God. God
knew the animals could not control and manage their affairs, so He gave us
leadership responsibility.
Failure to align
ourselves to the leadership role God has assigned for us makes us disobedient
to the Word of God. Every man born of a woman is a leader because the Word of
God confirms it (See Genesis 1:26).
God created the female
(Eve) to assist the male (Adam) because every leader needs a helpmeet (an
assistant). See the book of Genesis, chapter two, verses eighteen in the holy
scriptures. In God’s wisdom, men are natural leaders, and women are genuine
followers. I have never seen two drivers controlling the steering of a car at
the same time.
One drives the car whiles
the other assists the driver. That is how the world revolves. Everything we see
in this world grows in the realms of leadership. God knows humankind could
cater for the trees, animals, and other creations, so He gave us the wisdom to
manage them.
I define leadership as
playing the role of God in the earth realm. Leadership starts with yourself.
Until you realize that you are a leader, you have not entered the realm of recognition.
It takes self-realization, humility, knowledge, training, discipline, and
morality to develop the leadership seed God has invested in you.
The world is full of
corruption because the people leading these countries, cities, organizations,
and various institutions are not born again. The word born again means you have
repented, accepted, and confessed Christ Jesus as your Saviour and Lord of
your life.
People who are not born
again lack God’s character (moral virtue) to lead nations and organizations in a
godly way. It is one reason I write this article for Christian believers. Until
we realize that it takes people full of the Holy Spirit to lead the countries,
cities, villages, ministries, and various organizations in the steps of God, we
will forever be in hardship, corruption, and oppression.
We (Christian believers)
have allowed the unbelievers to occupy the leadership position, affecting us.
One thing I dislike about most Christians is that they fight what they don’t
understand.
It looks like most
Christians are ignorant to the extent they destroy the channels that leads to
their deliverance—so much hypocrisy in the body of Christ Jesus. Sometimes I
wonder it is “Christians” that are acting in such a manner.
Most Christians live in
poverty, fear, and confusion because they oppose what they do not understand.
It looks like most Christians are more in tune with the orthodoxy than the
orthopraxy. Most Christians follow traditions without questioning the source.
“Religious Christians”
follow church traditions and forget the essence of quality and godly leadership.
The moment you act outside the ancient patterns laid by religious leaders, you
become an enemy to the body of Christ. It looks like most Christians are
imbeciles searching for the meaning of life.
I’m a Christian, and I
have lived among Christians since my childhood. I have interacted with Muslims,
Buddhists, freethinkers, and some educated people in my homeland, Ghana, and
other people living outside Ghana through social media.
It looks like every country
or citizen has a way of expressing their religious faith. From my experience, I
have realized that “Christians” are the most hypocrites of all religions. I
will categorize Christianity as a religion for now because of the point I am
about to make.
Most Christians oppose
other Christians who enter into politics because they believe politics is evil.
Some Christians assume you are evil when you call yourself a politician. Forgive
me because I have been in that state, and I am counting myself as a Christian
minister, author, and Christian politician.
If you study the holy
scriptures carefully, you will understand that God called some people to operate
in the field of governmental positions (politics). For instance, Daniel was a
prophet of God, an educated leader, and an adviser to kings (Presidents). He
played an important role in the government (politics) of Babylon.
Joseph was a man that
feared (reverenced) God with all his heart. If Joseph was alive in our time, he
would have been a Bishop of a church and the Speaker of Parliament or one of the
most outstanding leaders (Vice President or a minister of a country).
Joseph operated in the
field of politics as a leader in the land of Egypt despite his devotion to God.
To mention a few, Moses, Elijah, Nathan, and Isaiah operated as prophets and
worked in governmental positions.
Today, most Christian believers
tag other Christians as sinners the moment they see them operating in politics.
I often hear some Christians say politicians are corrupt. That is a fallacy
because it is not all politicians that are corrupt. The reason why politics has
become evil is that the foundation is faulty.
It has become a
philosophy of most Politican’s that cheating, deception, false promises, and the
use of evil powers are ways to occupy governmental positions. We know Barack
Obama is the first African to be elected as the 44th president of
the United States of America.
Most of the United States
of America citizens supported Barack Obama to occupy the presidency's seat
(white house). I believe he did not use a corrupt system to occupy that
leadership position.
Many Presidents and
leaders occupied high positions in their country in a godly way. A few presidents
who won the presidential seat peacefully are Lazarus Chakwera (Christian
theologian in Malawi), Kwame Nkrumah (First President of Ghana), Nelson Mandela
(First black President of South Africa), and Donald Trump.
If Christians should come
together and appoint faithful and Spirit-filled Christian leaders who are ready
can occupy the world's governmental positions, there will be equality,
development, and unity.
Our (Christian believers)
eternal home is the Celestial City. We must understand that we live in this
world, and the governmental policies of this world will affect us whether or
not we like it.
If you are a reasonable
person, you will join hands with faithful and Spirit-filled Christian believers
to occupy every leadership position because God has delegated the management of
this world to us (See Genesis 2:23-24).
If politicians are
corrupt, they are not Christian believers. It may be that they have another
spirit different from the Holy Spirit. Even if the corrupt politicians call
themselves Christians, they are not born again. These politicians are using the
title of Christianity to camouflage the Christian faith.
Whether these politicians
use socialism, capitalism, conventionalism, anarchism, authoritarianism, democracy,
communitarianism, conservatism, corporatism, or any form of leadership style or
political philosophy to rule, we must come together as Christians and appoint
our leaders.
Most Christians want politicians
to act morally and use the economy's funds to develop the nation, but we
(Christian believers) have failed to take responsibility. If the politicians
use the tax payer’s money, aids received from other countries, and other developmental
funds to build the economy, evil will minimize.
Christians should stop
acting religiously by saying this world is not our home. Indeed, this world is
not our home, but we are living in it! If we (Christian believers) fail to take
the leadership position, we will allow the devil to use the unbelievers to
control us.
We must understand that
the devil has nothing good for us. He came to steal, kill, and destroy. Christ
Jesus came with life, joy, peace, and understanding. It is the one that carries
the Spirit of God that can lead the nation in the path of God.
Remember the words of
Christ Jesus.
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour,
wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be
cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be
hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a
candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 5:13-16 KJV
Our Saviour and Lord
Jesus said we (Christian believers) are the light and salt of this world. We
know that light brings vision. Light enables us to see the danger. Without
light, we will not know the path of life (right direction). The light in the
context of this scripture stands for leadership.
Christian believers are
leaders of this world. We must occupy the seats of these corrupt politicians.
If we don’t occupy the politicians' seats, they will become the light (leaders)
of this world.
If the unbelievers become
leaders of this world, we have disobeyed our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ's
words. If we allow the unbelievers to become the light of this world, we will
live in depression and corruption
If we allow the
unbelievers to occupy the high seats in this world, we will continue to live in
oppression because they will decide for us. The righteous always suffer because
of wicked leadership (See Ezekiel 22:23-31, Proverbs 29:2).
When the righteous
(Christian believer) rule, there is liberation. It is time Christian believers
stop living in hypocrisy and occupy the high seats because we are the light
(leaders) and salt (substance) of this world (THIS EARTH REALM).
We (Christian leaders) are
relevant in this world. Without us, the world will be full of disaster. The
unbelievers live in darkness because they are blind in the spirit. If the blind
leads the blind, they fall into darkness. We must not allow the unbelievers to decide
for us. These are the words of Jesus Christ to the church in Thyatira (includes
every Christian believer).
And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will
I give power over the nations:
And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the
vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
Revelation 2:26-27 KJV
Jesus said He would give
us the power to rule over nations! We know that it is the President, vice president,
members of parliament (MP’s), speaker of parliament, ministers of cities, and other
ground leaders that lead nations. What stops us as Christian believers to
forsake our leadership position?
If the politicians embezzle
the country’s resources, they are not the right people to lead the nation and
manage its resources. It is time Spirit-filled Christians occupy high positions
in various countries because it is the leadership that makes decisions.
If the leaders
(politicians) are corrupt, it means we have allowed them to rule us. If we
fight other Christians from occupying these leadership positions, we do great
harm to ourselves. It is written.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government
shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be
no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to
establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The
zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Isaiah 9:6-7 KJV
This is a prophetic Word.
The above scriptures talk about the prophecy of Christ Jesus, who will be born
to the earth, and the scriptures declare that the government will rest upon His
shoulders. I can interpret the government in the context of this scripture as;
1. Spiritual government (the church on earth and
the Celestial City)
2. Earthly government
(Various leadership on earth)
If the leadership shall
rest on the shoulders of Christ Jesus and we are followers of Jesus, then every
leadership position, including the presidency, ministers of the cities, and
church leaders as must rest on the Christian faith.
Besides being leaders in
the spiritual realm and churches, we are also leaders in the earth realm
(governmental bodies). If we allow the unbelievers to occupy the leadership
positions on this earth, they will abuse us. We must take the spiritual and
earthly position because our King (Christ Jesus) reigns.
The time is now; we
(Christian believers) must occupy the seats of the President, Vice President, Members
of Parliament, and all leadership positions in the world because we are light
and salt of this world.
As the scripture records,
the government (both spiritual and physical leadership) must rest on our shoulders
(Christian believers). Whether the Satanic kingdom controls the Federal
reserves, International Monetary Funds, Supreme courts, International banks,
and other high leadership positions, Christ Jesus has conquered them in the
spiritual realm. We must take our rights and fight on our knees to dismantle their
demonic seats and occupy our position.
All Christians (orthodox,
Adventists, Charismatics, Baptists, Methodists under the Protestants, or any
group) leaders should form one political party in every country. We will create
our party, appoint parliamentary members, the president, and his vice, who will
stand-in for election.
We will all agree to vote for these candidates to take the leadership position. If we follow this path, the economy and church will grow. With God and His angels on our side and with earnest intercession as we call on God to dominate the invisible powers (spiritual host of wickedness and other demonic influence) that try to stop us, we will win because we are overcomers in Christ Jesus.
