Loved one in Christ
Jesus, I believe you are growing in the strength of the Lord. This is lesson
ten on my teachings, the divine principles of spiritual warfare. Kindly read the previous lessons to
understand this truth because I have laid some foundations in those articles.
Child of God, the
spiritual atmosphere is not conducive for fun because the forces of darkness are
using the leadership (government, businessmen and women, institutions, the media,
and internet) to promote evil activities and ungodly human rights.
Relying only on
governmental policies will limit you because many conspiracies are taking place
in the spiritual realm. Some leadership is selling their citizens for their
private gain. Be vigilant in these last days because failure to watch and pray
makes you a prisoner in the satanic kingdom.
Develop a habit of
reading God’s Word (Holy Bible) and other relevant books because ignorance is a
silent killer. The lack of knowledge is one of the fastest ways to destruction
(See Hosea 4:6). If you don't know, anyone can deceive you.
The internet, software,
and smartphones have made the entire world a global village in the twenty-first
century. You can sit behind your computer, laptop, phone, or electronic device
and control many activities.
We live in a world;
people love to do what pleases them. Strange spirits control people who love to
do what pleases them on the premises of human rights. This is one reason I am
writing this article to enable you to stand firm in the Lord.
If you are not strong in the Lord, you will always
submit to the enemy's deceptive devices. Jesus the Christ commanded us to be
watchful of the last days because many unethical activities will occur (See
Matthew chapter twenty-four in the Holy Scriptures).
The forces of darkness
are continually formulating ungodly policies through leadership to destabilize
God's kingdom on earth, and it is our responsibility to detect their traps and
break them.
Failure to take
responsibility opens the door for these satanic agents to enforce their
destructive laws. Child of God, it is time to take dominion in the spiritual
realm because whatever happens in this earth realm emanates from the spiritual
realm.
I’m glad the Holy
Spirit reveals His plans and the enemy’s plans to me in the spiritual realm.
Anytime I receive a message from the Holy Spirit, either through dreams,
visions, and trance, I pray for God’s intervention.
The Holy Spirit has
revealed some strange and encouraging visions about some men of God and some
activities that will take place in the end time. Child of God, let the Holy
Spirit lead you before choosing someone as your spiritual leader, friend, and
marriage partner because there are many wolves in sheep's clothing.
Some men of “God” hands
are full of blood in the spiritual realm. The devil is using many people who
are claiming to work for God. There is a lot of jealousy, wickedness, and competition
in the church.
Many Christian leaders
don't want to help other ministers rise to the top because of wickedness,
insecurity, pride, and greediness. I write from my spiritual experience. Child
of God, it is time to face the giants blocking your path because Christ Jesus
has invested some divine powers in you.
In this article, I will
use some lessons of Moses and the Israelites to help you understand some
spiritual warfare principles.
In the book of Numbers
(the fourth book of Moses), God commanded Moses to send leaders from the twelve
tribes of Israel into the land of Canaan because He promised to give the land
to the Israelites.
And the LORD spake unto
Moses, saying,
Send thou men, that
they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel:
of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among
them.
And Moses by the
commandment of the LORD sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men
were heads of the children of Israel.
Numbers
13:1-3 KJV
Moses did not command
the leaders among the Israelites by his power. The LORD commanded Moses so
before you enter into warfare, make sure the Holy Spirit leads you. There are
some battles you are not supposed to enter because it is not yours.
Some Christians have
entered into some spiritual battles the Lord did not command them, and as a
result of their pride, ignorance, and carnality, they have received strange
attacks from the dark kingdom.
God knows our spiritual
strength, level of anointing, mantle, spiritual maturity, level of knowledge,
and spiritual authority. God will never command you to attack an enemy you
cannot defeat. Remember that demons are in ranks.
Some demons are wicked
and stronger than others (See Matthew 12:43-45), so be mindful. God commanded
Moses to send a ruler (leader, captain, or prince) within each tribe to scout
the Promised Land.
The fact that you are a
Christian does not mean you can fight any battle. Demons recognize spiritual
authority, so don't enter the battleground if you are qualified to fight. God
commanded Moses to choose leaders among the Israelites to scout the land of
Canaan because these leaders had some experience in warfare.
They knew how to
navigate and investigate the enemy's ground. Some Christians are too weak to
enter the battleground. Sending weak Christians who have no spiritual
authority, anointing to fight, and weak spiritual senses to the enemy's ground
is suicidal because they will break them within a second. Know these truths.
- Enter the battleground if you are convinced in the Spirit.
- Enter the battleground if you have what it takes to fight the enemy.
- Enter the battleground if you are matured in the spirit.
- Enter the battleground if you have the spiritual fortitude to stand the arrows of the enemy.
- Enter the battleground if you are a captain in the spiritual realm.
- Enter the battleground
with your full spiritual armour intact.
And Moses sent them to
spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward,
and go up into the mountain:
And see the land, what it is; and the people
that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many;
And what the land is
that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that
they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds;
And what the land is, whether it be fat or
lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and
bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe
grapes.
Numbers
13:17-20 KJV
Moses commanded the
scouts to do thorough research on the enemy and their dwelling. Child of God,
before you enter into spiritual warfare, especially in the field of
deliverance, investigate the demons living in the vessel.
God has given us the
Holy Spirit to help us discern the enemy. You can never defeat the enemy until
you discover his weak points and stronghold. For example, if you are delivering
a vessel into the business of prostitution, gay, lesbianism, bestiality, or womanizing,
investigate the spirit's entry point.
Knowing the enemy's
stronghold and the weak point will give you the best strategy to employ in deliverance
and spiritual warfare. In Africa, the stronghold controlling the atmosphere is
jealousy, ignorance, greediness, and pride. This is one reason corruption is
rampant in Africa.
Until we analyze the
spiritual forces controlling the system, we will never defeat the enemy. Moses commanded the leaders to search the
Canaanites whether they were strong, weak, few, or many. He instructed the scouts
to explore the stronghold and the condition of the land.
It is like a desperate
missionary who wants to do the work of God but has little or no knowledge about
the country or town he wants to evangelize.
I have not travelled to the USA, India, UK, or travel outside Ghana, but
my spirit has travelled to the listed countries and many countries outside
Ghana in the spiritual realm.
I will travel
physically to these places and many other places at God's chosen time. Before
you embark on missionary or evangelistic work, make sure the Holy Spirit leads
you. Check the people's culture, spiritual atmosphere, percentage of various
religious faith, spiritual stronghold, history, occupation, and other
information before entering such places.
You don't enter into a
battlefield (it can be a missionary ground) because God commanded you. Scout the place spiritually and physically.
Although there are instances, you may not get the accurate information of the
field God is leading you.
In this season, you
need the Abrahamic faith or the faith of the Holy Spirit to venture into the
land. Pray more in the Spirit to enable you to receive divine clearance before
you enter the battlefield.
Today, Google and other
search engines have made it easy to scout a country, town, and village. Apply God's
wisdom when acting in faith because there are dangerous grounds in the realms
of faith. You can get my book, How to Unlock the Gate of Faith, for a more profound revelation.
So they went up, and
searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to
Hamath.
And they ascended by
the south, and came unto Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the
children of Anak, were. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in
Egypt.)
And they came unto the
brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes,
and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the
pomegranates, and of the figs.
The place was called
the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel
cut down from thence.
And they returned from
searching of the land after forty days.
Numbers
13:21- 25 KJV
The captains of Israel
took forty days to conduct thorough research on the enemy's ground. The devil
and his minions have lived with God and His angels for a long time, so they are
wise. They have studied human beings for a long time, so never joke about their
schemes.
If Israel's leaders
took forty days to search out the enemy thoroughly, you must take time to
search out the enemy's plan because he is the king of deception.
And they went and came
to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel,
unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and
unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.
And they told him, and said, We came unto the
land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and
this is the fruit of it.
Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell
in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the
children of Anak there.
The Amalekites dwell in
the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites,
dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast
of Jordan.
And
Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and
possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
But
the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people;
for they are stronger than we.
And they brought up an
evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel,
saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that
eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men
of a great stature.
And there we saw the
giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own
sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
Numbers
13:26-33 KJV
After the scout, most
of the leaders gave an honest report. The only mistake some of the leaders made
was that they undermined themselves. This evil report destroyed the faith of
the Israelites.
And all the congregation lifted up their
voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.
And all the children of Israel murmured
against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them,
Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in
this wilderness!
And wherefore hath the
LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our
children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
And they said one to
another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.
Numbers
14:1-4 KJV
Child of God, be
mindful of the report you give out in the church, home, business, and
jurisdiction because it impacts the surrounding people. Some people are weak in
the faith. Exalting the enemy's power above Christ Jesus power destroys their
faith and the souls in the church.
Some Christians rely on
your faith, so always give a good report when you are in their presence. The
situation may not look favourable but keep your faith. When you show a sign of
weakness, you open the door for the enemy to attack the weak Christians' faith.
Showing a sign of
defeat empowers the forces of darkness to dominate the hardened sinners and
weak Christians to return to the world.
Then Moses and Aaron
fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children
of Israel.
And
Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that
searched the land, rent their clothes:
And
they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land,
which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.
If
the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a
land which floweth with milk and honey.
Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither
fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is
departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.
But all the
congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORD appeared in
the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.
Numbers
14:5-10 KJV
One thing about
humankind is that we often allow bad news to control us. Anytime you keep
spreading bad news that destroys the faith, it dominates the church and opens
the portal for the spirit of fear to control the atmosphere.
The Israelites did not
accept Joshua, the son of Nun, and Caleb, the son of Jephunneh's report, because
the other captain’s bad news controlled their mind. Joshua and Caleb became
enemies to the Israelites to the point they began stoning them.
Moses did something incredible
I believe every Christian leader should practice. He prayed powerfully for
God’s mercy because He knew God’s wrath.
Numbers
14:5-10 KJV
Moses's prayer
activated the presence of God. Anytime we pray for God's mercies, we invoke His
presence. In the time of confusion, fears, and disaster, pray for God's
mercies. The mercies of God can stop the enemy's atmosphere.
And
the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long
will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among
them?
I
will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee
a greater nation and mightier than they.
Numbers
14:11-12 KJV
One thing God hates is
when we complain and lose faith in Him. Losing faith in God makes Him inactive
in our life. Consistent complaints activate the anger of God. Child of God, in
time of confusion, refrain from murmuring because it worsens the case.
Complaining will not
solve the problem or challenge you are facing. You have no power to solve a
problem God can solve, so why are you complaining about spiritual issues. Let
God deal with the spiritual problem and concentrate on your task.
Moses continued with
his prayer.
And Moses said unto the
LORD, Then the Egyptians shall hear it, (for thou broughtest up this people in
thy might from among them;)
And they will tell it
to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among
this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth
over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud,
and in a pillar of fire by night.
Now if thou shalt kill
all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of thee
will speak, saying,
Because the LORD was
not able to bring this people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore
he hath slain them in the wilderness.
And now, I beseech
thee, let the power of my LORD be great, according as thou hast spoken,
saying,
The LORD is
longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by
no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the
children unto the third and fourth generation.
Pardon, I beseech thee,
the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as
thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.
And the LORD said, I
have pardoned according to thy word:
Numbers
14:13-20 KJV
Every Christian believer
or Christian must pray this type of prayer in time of need, confusion, and
fear, and God will respond.
But as truly as I live,
all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.
Because all those men
which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the
wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to
my voice;
Surely they shall not
see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that
provoked me see it:
But
my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me
fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall
possess it.
Numbers
14:21-24 KJV
Anytime we forget the
goodness of God, we miss our blessings. When you fail to give God the glory and
honour, you miss the greatness God has set for you. God promised Caleb and
Joshua His blessings because they kept their faith.
One of the spiritual virtues
God observes is our faith in His promises. I explained that in the previous
articles. God looks at our faith at all times. As long as you stay in the realm
of faith, your victory is guaranteed.
Faith is the key that
unlocks the promises of God in our lives. Living in the realm of fear makes it
difficult to locate God’s blessings for your life.
(Now the Amalekites and
the Canaanites dwelt in the valley.) Tomorrow turn you, and get you into the
wilderness by the way of the Red sea.
And the LORD spake unto
Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
How
long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have
heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against
me.
Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the
LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
Your carcases shall
fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your
whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me,
Doubtless
ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell
therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
But your little ones,
which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the
land which ye have despised.
But as for you, your carcases, they shall fall
in this wilderness.
And your children shall
wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your
carcases be wasted in the wilderness.
After the number of the days in which ye
searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your
iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.
I the LORD have said, I
will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together
against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall
die.
And the men, which
Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to
murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land,
Even
those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague
before the LORD.
But
Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men
that went to search the land, lived still.
And Moses told these
sayings unto all the children of Israel: and the people mourned greatly.
Numbers
14:25-39 KJV
Complaining in God’s
kingdom is a great evil God cannot withstand. God hates people that frown on
His Word because He has exalted the Word above His name. God cherishes the Word
above His creation, so anytime a Christian believer doubts and downplays the
authority of God’s Word, he becomes God’s enemy.
If you don't want to
die before your time, hold on to God's Word because we receive our life from
the Word. The enemy knows that we open the door for him to attack anytime we
doubt God's Word. Our best defence against the enemy is the Word (Holy
Scriptures), so never reject the authority of God's Word in spiritual warfare.
And they rose up early
in the morning, and gat them up into the top of the mountain, saying, Lo, we be
here, and will go up unto the place which the LORD hath promised: for we have
sinned.
And
Moses said, Wherefore now do ye transgress the commandment of the LORD? but it
shall not prosper.
Go
not up, for the LORD is not among you; that ye be not smitten before your
enemies.
For the Amalekites and
the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye
are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you.
But they presumed to go
up unto the hill top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and
Moses, departed not out of the camp.
Then the Amalekites
came down, and the Canaanites which dwelt in that hill, and smote them, and
discomfited them, even unto Hormah.
Numbers
14:40-45 KJV
Sin limits us from
God’s presence. Because of the Israelites transgression against God’s Word, the
LORD departed from them. This empowered the Amalekites and Canaanites to defeat
the Israelites. Child of God, you have the keys in your hands to dominate the
enemy.
1. Refrain from willful sin and avoid murmuring at all costs.
2. Have absolute faith in God’s Word.
3. Check your spiritual
state before you enter into spiritual warfare.
4. Analyze the strength
and weakness of the enemy before you attack.
5. Be led by the Holy Spirit before you enter spiritual warfare.
6. Always pray for
God's mercies during confusion, fear, and disaster.
7. Always be thankful
to the Lord in all circumstances.
