How to Activate the Presence of the Holy Spirit (2)
Loved one in Christ
Jesus, I believe you are growing in the strength of the Lord. In the previous article, I wrote some
foundational lessons on how to activate the presence of the Holy Spirit. In
this article, I will share with you one practical divine principle to help you
activate the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life.
Living the Christian
life without the presence and leadership of the Holy Spirit is dangerous
because He is our Guide, Teacher, Helper, Counselor, and Leader (See John
14:26, 1 Corinthians 2:10-13, John 16:12-13).
It is like a newborn
baby without parents or guardians. Such a baby becomes vulnerable to enemies. Like
a sheep without a shepherd, the wolves can attack and destroy it. We need more
of the Holy Spirit in these last days to help us know the plans of God for our
lives.
The Holy Spirit is the
wisdom of Christ Jesus working in our heart. Without the Holy Spirit, we will
struggle in our Christian life. The Holy Spirit is the best Person to help us
know the Heavenly Father and His Son (Christ Jesus).
It is like a seed
without water, protection, and sunlight that seed will die. We are seeds before
the Heavenly Father. The Holy Spirit supplies the water, sunlight, and
protection when we allow Him to nature us.
Stubborn people who
walk in their perverted ways block the Holy Spirit's influence and become the
enemy’s target. Failure to submit to the leadership of the Holy Spirit makes
one walk outside the will of God.
When this happens, God
opens His door of mercy to enable us to walk in His permissive will. The Holy
Spirit will continue to draw our attention by allowing us to experience some
things in our lives.
When we fail to submit
to the leadership of the Holy Spirit in these experiences, the enemy takes
charge. The Holy Spirit does not force Himself on us because He has given us
our will. God did not create us to behave like robots.
God respects our
willpower. When our heart agrees with the Word (Holy Scriptures), the Holy does
not struggle to connect with us. The Holy Spirit can manifest in several ways
based on His assignment.
The Holy Spirit is a
divine person with a rational mind, feelings, and desire. He understands our
temperament, personality, weakness, strength, and motives of our heart
(Meditate on Romans 8:26-27).
The Holy Spirit knows
the systems of the Heavenly Father, Christ Jesus, Sin, and God's creation. He
knows everything in the whole world. The Holy Spirit lives in an atmosphere of holiness
because holiness is His nature.
Sin cannot live with
Him and in Him. Wherever Sin rules, the Holy Spirit departs. The Holy Spirit
can dominate Sin because His power surpasses Sin’s power. Wherever you see Christian
believers embarking on Christ Jesus's assignment, the Holy Spirit is present.
I heard a man of God
said, “The Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ
unlimited.” This means Christ Jesus is the Holy Spirit living in the heart
of Christian believers. I will write on the mysteries of the Trinity soon.
Without the Holy
Spirit, we will be lost in the wilderness. Darkness will overwhelm us when we
walk outside the footsteps of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the manufacturer
of life, supplier of God's power, and activator of God's wisdom.
He is the mystery
behind the joy, peace, growth, and unity within the Christian faith. The
unbelievers are searching for Holy Spirit in ignorance. They desire fulfillment
in life, yet they cannot find it.
The unbelievers search
for happiness in nightclubs, illegal drugs, worldly pleasures, fame, power, and
wealth, yet they feel empty with all these provisions. Until they find the Holy
Spirit, they remain in their misery state.
When you find the Holy
Spirit, you begin to understand the purpose of life. All your burdens and
hopelessness turn into joy because the Holy Spirit feels that empty gap. I gave
a few revelations about the Holy Spirit to enable you to seek His presence.
I will share with you
in this article how to activate His presence in your life. I have been
practicing this divine principle and truth in my life. Anytime I apply this
truth, I become joyful and purposeful in life. Get my series of books for more profound revelations.
You can also practice
these divine principles or truth to enable you to activate the presence of the
Holy Spirit in your life. They are biblical, and it works, so practice them.

The Power of Worship and Praises
Worship and praises are
invisible spiritual keys that activate the Holy Spirit's presence in our lives.
In Psalms one hundred verses four, the psalmist gave a profound revelation.
Enter into his gates
with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and
bless his name.
Psalms
100:4 KJV
Every kingdom has rules
and regulations operating in its jurisdiction. For example, you cannot work in
a financial institution (a bank or microfinance organization) as an accountant
without the required certificate.
You cannot dress like a
waiter and work as an officer in the banking hall. The laws in the bank will
force you to dress appropriately. The same principle applies in God's kingdom. Thanksgiving
and praise are two spiritual and legal keys that open the door for us to access
God’s throne room.
But thou art holy, O
thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel
Psalm
22:2-3 KJV
David declares that God
(Holy Spirit) dwells in places where Israelites praise, adore, and give glory
to the beauty of Most High (Christ Jesus). Christian believers are spiritual
Israelites through Christ Jesus's death and resurrection.
This means Spirit-led
worship and praises activate the presence of the Holy Spirit. Make it a habit
to praise and worship God in your room, office, and jurisdiction, and the Holy
Spirit will dominate that place.
The Holy Spirit will
take absolute control of the atmosphere when you praise God from your heart
(with understanding). In my room, I occasionally praise and honour God from my
heart. The more I praise and honour God from my heart; I feel the presence of
the Holy Spirit.
I feel more spiritual
when I worship and praise God in my room. Download anointed Christian songs
onto your phone, laptop, pen drives, hard drives, and all electronic devices
and play them using your earpiece or sound system.
You will be surprised
by how these anointed songs will change your life and open the door for the
Holy Spirit to dominate that place. In the book of Samuel, an evil spirit asked
permission from God to torment Saul because of his disobedience. You can read
for yourself for more understanding.
And the LORD said unto
Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from
reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to
Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.
And Samuel said, How
can I go? if Saul hear it, he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take an heifer
with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the LORD.
And call Jesse to the
sacrifice, and I will shew thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint unto
me him whom I name unto thee.
And Samuel did that
which the LORD spake, and came to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town
trembled at his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?
And he said, Peaceably:
I am come to sacrifice unto the LORD: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to
the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the
sacrifice.
And it came to pass,
when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD's
anointed is before him.
But the LORD said unto
Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I
have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the
outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
Then Jesse called
Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the LORD
chosen this.
Then Jesse made Shammah
to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.
Again, Jesse made seven
of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD hath
not chosen these.
And Samuel said unto
Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the
youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send
and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.
And he sent, and
brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and
goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.
Then Samuel took the
horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of
the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to
Ramah.
But the Spirit of the
LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
And Saul's servants
said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.
Let our lord now
command thy servants, which are before thee, to seek out a man, who is a
cunning player on an harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from
God is upon thee, that he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.
And Saul said unto his
servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me.
Then answered one of
the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite,
that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent
in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him.
Wherefore Saul sent
messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which is with the
sheep.
And Jesse took an ass
laden with bread, and a bottle of wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his
son unto Saul.
And David came to Saul,
and stood before him: and he loved him greatly; and he became his armourbearer.
And Saul sent to Jesse,
saying, Let David, I pray thee, stand before me; for he hath found favour in my
sight.
And it came to pass,
when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and
played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit
departed from him.
1 Samuel 16:1-23 KJV
From the Holy
Scriptures, we can see that when the Spirit of God left Saul, the evil spirit
had the power to torment Saul’s life. This means an evil spirit is responsible
anytime you experience excessive torment, depression, fear, and hopelessness.
God has not given us
the spirit of fear and depression (See 2 Timothy 1:7). Excessive depression and
fear are weapons of the enemy that comes in to attack you. It can lead to
suicidal thoughts if you allow them in your life.
These evil spirits make
you irresponsive to the leadership of the Holy Spirit and receptive to demonic
spirits (Meditate on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5). Break these strongholds (evil
spirits) by Spirit-led worship and praises.
You can read my books, The Mysteries of Fear, The Mysteries of Jealousy, and How to Break the spirit of Inferiority, for more profound
revelations.
One vital way to break
these evil spirits is to worship and praise God from your heart with
understanding. Create an atmosphere for the Holy Spirit by playing anointed
Christian songs in your surroundings.
If you read from verse twenty-three
of first Samuel chapter sixteen, you would observe that when David took his
harp and played in the presence of Saul, the evil spirit tormenting Saul left
and he became refreshed.
This means Spirit-led
worship and praises create an atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to dominate our
environment. Anyone with an evil spirit must vacate such a place. An evil
spirit cannot live in an area dominated by the Holy Spirit.
If Spirit-filled songs
(Worship, praises, and hymnals) can create an atmosphere for the Holy Spirit,
ungodly music can create rooms for evil spirits. This is one reason people in
nightclubs and hostile surroundings fornicate and transact evil deeds because
the spirits ruling such places are wicked (Meditate on James 3:16).
Suspect anyone as a
satanic agent when the person disrupts you anytime you play Christian songs and
messages. Such a person or group carries evil spirits. The evil spirit in that
person hates the holy atmosphere you are creating, so he will do anything in
his power to resist it.
In the Old Testament,
before the prophets and seers could operate in the spirit, the singers played
their harps, cymbals, psalteries, and timbrels. When the singers worship and
praise in the beauty of God’s holiness, they create an atmosphere for the Holy
Spirit.
Most prophets, seers, and
God’s servants operate in the realm of worship because it opens the portal for
the Holy Spirit to work. David was full of the Holy Spirit because He was a
worshipper.
He rose at midnight to
give honour unto God. David knew the power of the Holy Spirit in his life, so
he prayed to God not to take the Holy Spirit from him when he slept with
Uriah's wife Bathsheba (See Psalm 51:1-11).
David knew worship and
praises activate the presence of the Holy Spirit, so he did not joke with worship.
The book of Psalms contains a lot of David hymnals. God cherished David because
He knew how to activate the Holy Spirit’s presence.
Apostle Paul knew the
secret of the Holy Spirit, so he encouraged the Christian believers to worship
and praise God with hymns (See Colossians 3:16, Acts 16:25-26).
And be not drunk with
wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Speaking to yourselves
in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your
heart to the Lord;
Giving thanks always
for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Ephesians
5:18-20 KJV
Paul knew spiritual
songs, hymns and making melody in our heart to the Lord activates the presence
of the Holy Spirit. The fact that the Holy Spirit lives in you does not mean He
is always working.
You must perform some
duties to activate Him. Every phone has a battery. If you don’t charge your
phone battery, it will die. That is how the Holy Spirit operates in our lives. We
are the phones, and the Holy Spirit is the battery.
If you don’t charge the
phone (spirit and soul) with electricity (worship and praises), the battery
(Holy Spirit) will be weak. The phone will not operate effectively because you
have not to charge (activated) the battery (Holy Spirit).
Carry the Holy Spirit
with you, and demons will flee from you. Charge (activate) the battery (Holy
Spirit) by Spirit-led worship and praises to enable you to walk in Spirit. You
can charge yourself to the extent that wherever you enter, people will
recognize the Holy Spirit.
Have you ever thought about
the mystery of the four living creatures (anointed Cherubs) and twenty-four
elders in Heaven? Some theologians believe the four living creatures represent
the four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) and the four corners of the
earth.
In contrast, other
theologians regard the four living creatures as angelic beings, Michael, Uriel,
Raphael, and Gabriel. Some theologians also believe that the four living
creatures reveal the character and personality of God Almighty.
It is believed the lion
stands for the king of the beast in the wild zone, known for his relentlessness.
The ox stands for servanthood, the eagle representing vision and king of the
atmosphere, whiles the human face stands for wisdom and knowledge.
These four living
creatures see nothing except the holiness of the throne. These anointed Cherubs
creatures give glory and honour to the King of kings and Lord of Lords (Christ
Jesus) because it produces divine power and revives the Holy Spirit to control
the earth (See Revelation 4:1-11).
The spiritual forces
understand the protocols and systems of God’s throne. They are teaching us that
the Holy Spirit delights an atmosphere of worship, praises, and thanksgiving.
Follow this divine and practical truth, and the Holy Spirit will reveal Himself
to you.
