Understanding the Language of the Spirit (Mysteries in the Spiritual and Dream Realm) - 2
…Unto you it is
given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables;
that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
Luke
8:10 KJV
Mysteries belong to the
children of God because they can handle them. Until we understand the inner
workings of God, things may look strange to us. Jesus the Christ said that He
had revealed the mysteries of the kingdom to us, but He has covered it with a
veil to others.
One reason Jesus the
Christ has hidden the mysteries of the kingdom to the unbelievers is that they
cannot handle it. Secondly, He wants to humble them, and lastly, He wants to
teach them some lessons.
This is one reason you
must be careful when the unbelievers interpret the Holy Scriptures to you. Some
religious bodies such as Muslims, Buddhists, Hinduists, Shinto’s and others use
some verses of the Holy Scriptures to prove the doctrine of reincarnation and
lead others astray.
For example, in a
specific religious book, the author claim that Elijah reincarnated as John the
Baptist. The author claimed that Jesus the Christ approved the doctrine of
reincarnation using John the Baptist and Elijah.
The author did not
understand that Jesus was talking of the Holy Spirit and His anointing. The Spirit
(mantle and anointing) that operated on Elijah was the same Spirit that worked
on John the Baptist, but the author wrote that Elijah reincarnated as John the Baptist, which is wrong.
Child of God, it takes
the sweet influence of the Holy Spirit to interpret the Holy Scriptures because He is
the author (Meditate on 2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Don’t allow an unbeliever
to teach you the Word of God because they can make errors and mislead you. Find
a vessel born again and full of the Holy Spirit to help you interpret the Holy
Scriptures because they are one with the Spirit.
Most religious bodies
interpret the Holy Scriptures literally. They don’t understand the revelations
(Spirit) behind the Holy Scriptures. If the Holy Spirit lives in you, you will
not find it challenging to interpret the Word (Holy Scriptures).
The Holy Spirit will
guide and teach you the Word if you allow Him. When it comes to the things of
the Spirit, ask the Holy Spirit to help you because He is our Helper. If you
want the Holy Spirit to invest more of His wisdom, anointing, and power to you,
yield yourself as a living sacrifice unto Him.
The more you set yourself
apart and build a consistent relationship with the Holy Spirit, the more He
reveals Himself to you. In this article, I will teach you some mysteries of dreams,
the workings of the Holy Spirit, how our spirit, soul, and body connect with the Holy Spirit.
For more profound revelations, read my series of books and articles.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him
in spirit and in truth.
John 4:24 KJV
A woman of Samaria
encountered our Saviour and Lord Christ Jesus at a well. In their conversation,
Jesus said that God is a Spirit. Jesus did not end there; He further explained
to the adulterous woman that we must worship Him in spirit and truth.
You can get my book, How to worship God in Spirit and Truth, for more profound revelations. If God
is a spirit and Jesus demands that we worship Him in spirit and truth, how can
we worship God with our body?
Naturally, the human body
can't touch spiritual things, and Jesus is saying that we must worship the Heavenly Father in
spirit and truth. This means humankind must have a spirit to worship God in truth and spirit.
The question is, what is
humankind made of? Are we mere human beings with bodies living on earth, or do
we have another substance in us.? If Jesus the Christ commands us to worship
Him in spirit and truth, we must have that ability to worship Him in spirit and
truth.
I will establish some
foundational truths from the Holy Scriptures to help you understand that
humankind is not just a mere body. We are more than physical bodies. What you
see in the natural isn’t enough. In the book of Thessalonians, Apostle Paul
writes something profound about human beings.
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God
your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of
our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 KJV
Paul writes that we must
preserve our whole spirit, soul, and body blameless unto the coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ. This means we are not just bodies. We are not like robots that
have no spirit and soul.
There is another
component of humankind (spirit and soul) that is invisible to the natural eyes.
The real you is your spirit. You have a soul, and this soul lives in a body. In
the book of Hebrews, Apostle Paul writes to a sect of Jewish Christians. He
makes a profound revelation about the human spirit, soul, and body.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any
twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and
of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents
of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12 KJV
Paul writes that the Word
of God is a two-edged sword that separates and discerns thoughts of the human
spirit, soul, and body. This means humankind is composed of the spirit, soul,
and body. In the book of Genesis, Moses expands more revelation about the human
spirit and soul.
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and
breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Genesis 2:7 KJV
Moses records that God
formed man (Adam) from the dust of the ground (the human body). God
breathed life into the man, and then he became a living soul. This means the
soul of man (Adam) was dead or trapped in the human body until the Holy Spirit breathed
(formed) the spirit of man.
The Holy Spirit (the Spirit that supplies life in the world) gave life to the human soul and body. Without the Holy Spirit, humankind and anything that walks and live in the world cannot live. The Holy Spirit sustains the life of the solar systems because He is the giver of life.
Without the human spirit, the soul cannot function. The human spirit receives life from the Holy Spirit. The human spirit supplies life to the human body and soul. Kindly read my book, How to walk and live in the spirit, for more profound revelations. Some Christians believe that the Holy Spirit is the same as the human spirit. The Holy Scriptures states that the human spirit differs from the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit [Holy Spirit] itself beareth witness with our spirit
[human
spirit], that we are the children of God:
Romans
8:16 KJV Emphasis added
Paul writes that the Holy
Spirit produces the seed of love, joy, peace, faith, longsuffering, temperance,
meekness, goodness, and temperance in our spirit. We call this inner witness.
Without our spirit, the Holy Spirit cannot access the thought of our soul.
The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the
inward parts of the belly.
Proverbs 20:27 KJV
The wise man (Solomon) writes
that the spirit of man is the candle of the LORD. Through our spirit, the Holy
Spirit investigates our secrets, thoughts, motives, and agenda. Our spirit
opens the portal for us to connect with the Spirit of God.
With our spirit, we can
worship God in Spirit and truth. Our spirit helps us receive information from God. True worship
begins from the human spirit. When the Holy Spirit gets total control of the
human spirit, the soul reacts.
This is one reason; we
cry when we enter deep into the spirit. Apostle Paul further writes that there
is a constant war between the Holy Spirit and the body's desires.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of
the flesh.
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the
flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the
things that ye would.
Galatians 5:16-17 KJV
Some people find it challenging to walk and live in the footsteps of Christ Jesus and His Spirit because they have
allowed the desires of the flesh to control them. The flesh and the Spirit wants to have its
way in our life.
For example, you plan to
pray or read your bible, but the flesh tells you to eat, sleep, and watch
movies. It is not every evil that emanates from the devil and his cohorts. The flesh can also
force you to do something that goes against the Word of God.
Some people love
fornication and other grave evils because they have allowed the flesh to
dominate them. If you want to walk with the Holy Spirit, train your spirit. You
can read my books, How to train the human spirit and How to walk with the Holy Spirit, for more profound revelations.
Some people are too
emotional to the extent that anything and anyone can control them. If you don’t
train your spirit and build your soul, you will become a soulish Christian believer. Being
emotional is not evil. It becomes evil when the Holy Spirit has no control over
it.
Note that the Holy Spirit
is the Spirit of wisdom, understanding, and counsel (Meditate on Isaiah 11:1-3). The fact that you walk and live in the spirit does not mean you
should ignore wisdom. The Holy Spirit will never tell you to do something that
goes against the Word of God (Meditate on 1 John 5:7-8).
If you train and build your
spirit with the Word, Spirit-led fasting, and prayers, you will always dominate
the desires of the flesh. If you allow the desires of the flesh to dominate
you, you will always fall into the trap of the enemy.
God is a Spirit, and He
communicates to our spirit. In my previous article, I explained that the
language of the Spirit differs from the language of the soul and body. God speaks
to us with symbols, riddles, creations, and several ways. Download and read my
free book, How to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, for more profound
revelations.
One of the usual ways God
speaks to us is through dreams and visions (Meditate on Joel 2:28, Acts 2:16-18). I will use a few examples in the
Holy Scriptures to help you understand some language of the Holy Spirit. One
reason for using the Holy Scriptures as an example is because it’s the best
manual for wisdom.
There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of
the band called the Italian band,
A
devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much
alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel
of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord?
And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial
before God.
And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname
is Peter:
He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he
shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.
And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called
two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him
continually;
And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent
them to Joppa.
On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the
city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made
ready, he fell into a trance,
And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it
had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild
beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is
common or unclean.
And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God
hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen
should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry
for Simon's house, and stood before the gate,
And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were
lodged there.
While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold,
three men seek thee.
Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing:
for I have sent them.
Acts 10:1-20 KJV
Apostle Peter had a
vision and, in this vision, God instructed him to eat some animals. Peter
refrained from eating the animals because he saw them as common. If you analyze
the vision carefully, you will understand that God used the animals as symbols
of the unsaved gentiles in the house of Cornelius seeking salvation.
The animals in the vision
of Apostle Peter represented the unsaved souls (Gentiles) in Rome. The vision looked strange in
the natural, but God used the animals and the blanket to communicate with
Peter.
I have read and listened to
several people interpreting food and animals in dreams and visions as evil. Some
people interpret that anytime you see yourself eating in a dream, it is
witchcraft. Child of God, you must be careful of such interpretations.
Anytime God shows a
vision, pray for an understanding because revelation comes from the Holy Spirit (See Genesis 40:1-8;41:15-16). Check the context and symbols within the
dream and vision because it is a hint to help you understand the counsels of
the Holy Spirit. God can use food, animals, building, numbers, colors, people,
riddles, and several things to communicate to you in dreams and visions.
Note that it is not all dreams that emanate from God. The devil can also project false dreams and visions. One of the best ways to detect dreams from God is to check their compatibility with the Word (Holy Scriptures). Know these truths.
- Dreams from God bring a feeling of inner peace to your spirit, soul, and environment.
- Dreams from the devil bring extreme confusion to your soul and those connected to you.
- Dreams from God keep reoccurring.
- Dreams from the devil create extreme fear in you and those connected to you.
- Dreams from God unveil the power of God.
- Dreams from the devil unveil the power of evil.
- Dreams from God are full of light and revelations.
- Dreams from the devil are full of darkness and depression.
- Dreams from God always give an assurance of recovery.
- Dreams of the devil give no assurance of recovery.
- Dreams from God warn and rebukes with love.
- Dreams from the devil warn you with destruction.
- Dreams from God have some important symbols to rely on for interpretations.
- Dreams from the devil have no foundations for interpretations.
- Dreams from God have some foundations for interpretations.
- Dreams from God build your faith in Christ Jesus and the Word (Holy Scriptures).
- Dreams from the devil destroy your faith in the Lord.
- Dreams from the devil are full of nightmares, pain, hopelessness, and confusion.
- Dreams from God are full of hope, blessings, and faith.
Child of God, these are
some few ways to discern dreams from God and the devil. Some dreams emanate
from our souls. Some people call it soulish or lucid dreams. For example, your
soul can project the things you stored in your subconscious mind in your dream.
Such dreams have no power
in your life if you are strong in the Lord. If you fail to guard your heart, the devil can use these soulish dreams to manipulate you. Make it a habit to watch, read and
listen to things that build you in the Spirit.
Building yourself in the
Lord will protect your spirit and soul from destruction. Follow these wisdom keys, the devil and
his minions will not use the images stored in your soul to torment you in
dreams and visions. The Holy Spirit will guide you in your spiritual life if you follow these wisdom keys.
