Dealing with the Red Sea in Your Life (The Top 7 Seven Ways to Unlock Your Divine Blessings)
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before
Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baalzephon: before it
shall ye encamp by the sea.
For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are
entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in.
And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and
I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may
know that I am the LORD. And they did so.
And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart
of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said,
Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?
And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him:
And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt,
and captains over every one of them.
And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he
pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with
an high hand.
But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and
chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them
encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.
And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their
eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid:
and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.
And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt,
hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt
thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?
Is
not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we
may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the
Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.
And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the
salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom
ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto
the children of Israel, that they go forward:
But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and
divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the
midst of the sea.
And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they
shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his
host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.
And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have
gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.
And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and
went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and
stood behind them:
And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel;
and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to
these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.
And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the
sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea
dry land, and the waters were divided.
And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground:
and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their
left.
And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the
sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.
And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the
host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled
the host of the Egyptians,
And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so
that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD
fighteth for them against the Egyptians.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that
the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon
their horsemen.
And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned
to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it;
and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and
all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not
so much as one of them.
But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of
the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and
on their left.
Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians;
and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.
And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians:
and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses.
Exodus 14:1-31 KJV
The LORD promised the
Israelites He would deliver them from the bondage of the Egyptians through
Moses. By faith, the Israelites obeyed Moses and ventured into the wilderness
to enable them to enter the promised land.
The Egyptians knew they would not get slaves to help them grow their kingdom, so they pursued the
Israelites. When the Israelites saw the army of the Egyptians, they trembled
and cried unto God for deliverance.
The Lord heard their cry
and commanded Moses to lift his rod and stretch his hands towards the red sea
to enable them to escape the wrath of the Egyptians. Maybe you have a red sea
blocking your promised land (blessings and deliverance).
The red sea made the
Israelites fearful. The Israelites lost their faith because of the red sea.
Child of God, what is your red sea? What is limiting you from accessing the
promised land? As I thought about the Israelites encounters on the red sea, the
Holy Spirit gave me some revelations to share with you.
I have listed the top seven red seas blocking the gate of your promised land. God has numerous blessings for you, but the red sea is limiting you from possessing them. Below are the red seas limiting your blessings.
Identifying these red seas will help you escape the trap of the enemy. These wisdom keys will position you to correct any mistake hindering your divine blessings.
1.
Your red sea can be the fountain of your ignorance.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast
rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee…
Hosea
4:6 KJV
Could it be that your
ignorance is hosting your fear, hopelessness, pain, depression, and pain?
Ignorance means lack of knowledge. What you don’t know becomes a fountain of
doubt, destruction, and disaster in your life.
The Israelites lost faith
in God because they were ignorant of His power. It is said that what you don’t
know kills you. For example, if you don’t know the use of salt, your stew and
soup will always be tasteless. Know these truths.
- Some people fail in life because they don’t know what to do.
- Some people die before their time because of ignorance.
- Some people are in prison because of ignorance.
- Some people have become slaves because of ignorance.
- Some people live in abject poverty because of ignorance.
- Some leaders, citizens, and countries cannot develop their economy because of ignorance.
- Some people live in the claws of evil spirits because of ignorance.
Child of God, until you
acquire knowledge, you remain in your red sea. The Israelites would never
have escaped from the Egyptians' wrath if Moses had failed to obey the
instructions of the Lord.
Acquire relevant knowledge and put them into practice, and your red sea will vanish. Until you play your role, God cannot deal with the red sea limiting your blessings. One thing you must know about life is that the mind controls every organ of the body.
Until you acquire relevant knowledge, you remain in
the red sea. One way to break out from the red sea and enter your promised land
(blessings) is to acquire practical knowledge and put them into practice.
2.
Your red sea can be the seal of pride hiding in your heart.
…God resisteth the proud,
but giveth grace unto the humble.
James 4:6 KJV
Pride is one of the
invisible virtues limiting the progress of countries, organizations, and
individuals. Could it be that you cannot advance in life because of your pride?
As the Holy Scriptures declare, God resists the proud.
If you are proud, God
will resist you. If the King of Kings and Lord of Lords resist you, no one can help
you. Even Satan and his cohort have no power to help you. The only way Satan
and his cohorts can help you is by recruiting you to destroy others and oppose
God (Meditate on John 10:10).
Child of God, can I
present to you that pride is a red sea. Anyone that opposes the counsels (Holy
Scriptures) of God is proud. Lucifer lost his position in the celestial kingdom
because of pride.
One reason you cannot
enter your promised land is because of pride. You can read my articles, the seven levels of pride, and how pride works for more profound
revelations. Child of God, it takes humility to enter the promised land.
Without humility, you
become your own enemy. God cannot help proud people because He cannot identify
himself with pride. If you want the Holy Spirit to break the red sea in your
life, humble yourself. If you want to enter the promised land, examine yourself
and clear the pride within you. The red sea (poverty, sickness, and pain) will
clear off when the pride goes off.
3.
Your red sea can be a stronghold of curses.
And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this,
thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field;
upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed
and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy
conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall
be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of
thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou
shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt
thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt
eat the herb of the field;
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto
the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto
dust shalt thou return.
And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all
living.
Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins,
and clothed them.
And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know
good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree
of life, and eat, and live for ever:
Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till
the ground from whence he was taken.
So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of
Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of
the tree of life.
Genesis 3:14-24 KJV
When Adam and Eve
disobeyed God and obeyed the serpent, God punished them and cursed the serpent. Most often, people ignore the power of words. The Holy Scriptures
declare that life and death rest on the tongue (Meditate on Proverbs 18:21).
Some people confess
negative words in their lives. Because of these negative words, evil spirits gets access into their lives. Could it be that the negative words you speak over
your life are the red sea blocking you from entering the promised land?
Be mindful of the words people speak over your life because it has a significant impact on you. If people speak negative words into your life and you fail to break it with God’s Word, it becomes a red sea (curse) in your life. Start confessing the promises of God over your life.
- When people call you weak, tell yourself and the negative people you are strong because the one that lives in you is stronger than everyone (Meditate on 1 John 4:4, Joel 3:10).
- When people call you poor, tell yourself and the negative people that Christ Jesus became poor that I might be rich, so I am full of abundance (Meditate on 2 Corinthians 8:9, Psalms 23:1-6)
- When people call you Sick, tell yourself and the negative people that you are healed by the stripes of the Lamb (Meditate on Isaiah 53:5).
Don’t allow negative words to dominate your spirit and soul because it opens a portal for the enemy to access your life. The negative words create red seas in your life, thereby limiting your progress. By believing, confessing, declaring, professing, decreeing, and acting on the promises of God as the Holy Spirit directs, the red sea divides into two making your spirit, soul, and body access the promised land. You can read my series of articles, Understanding the Language of the Spirit World, and books for more profound revelations.
4.
Your red sea can be satanic altars.
And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take
thy father's young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and
throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is
by it:
And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in
the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice
with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.
Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had said
unto him: and so it was, because he feared his father's household, and
the men of the city, that he could not do it by day, that he did it
by night.
Judges 6:25-27 KJV
God commanded Gideon to
destroy the satanic altar his father built because it opened the portal for
the enemy to fight his people. God knew this altar could hinder the progress of
Gideon, so He made him clear it off.
An altar is a place where
spiritual forces (holy or unholy) meet with human beings. An altar can be your
place of prayer, communion, and place you study the Holy Scriptures (Quiet
time). When you consistently pray in a particular area or field, that place
becomes an altar because you have established a meeting place for spiritual
forces.
At this place (altar),
you create an encounter with God and His angels. If you engage in evil
things, it builds a satanic altar for evil spirits to access the place. Every
family has a history. There is a proverb in my country, Ghana, which says “Efie
biara Mensah wom,” which means there are witchcraft activities in every house
or jurisdiction. Whether white witchcraft, red witchcraft, black witchcraft, or
Abra Melin witchcraft, satanic activities can operate everywhere (Meditate on 1 Peter 5:8).
No one can deny this
truth; evil happens everywhere. Some families suffer from sickness, insanity,
poverty, marital problems, crime, conflict, fear, and abuse because of some
members' sins.
Most often, it is a curse
operating in such families. Until you break that curses, it follows you. One
key you must know about the spiritual world is that it works with laws.
Ignorance of spiritual laws does not exempt you from spiritual attack.
The fact that you are
from a cursed family positions you as a potential and legal candidate for spiritual
attack. Until you deal with satanic altars fighting the bloodline, you remain a
prisoner of the enemy (Meditate on Ephesians 6:10-18).
If you check the life of
Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and David, some hidden curses were operating in their
life. Some people cannot advance to the next level in life because some curses and
satanic altars are fighting them in the realms of the spirit.
The Holy Spirit has shown
me in dreams and visions several times, the altars and curses operating in my
family and other places. The Holy Spirit revealed these visions to me so I could
deal with the red seas.
The Holy Spirit has
delivered me from satanic bondage in the spiritual realm through my spiritual
leader. Child of God, the red sea remains active until you deal with the
curses, evil altars, and witchcraft activities in your life, bloodline, community,
place of birth, workplace, and family.
Break the family curses,
satanic altars, and hidden curses through the name and blood of Christ Jesus
because all power belongs to Him. Christ Jesus has delegated divine power in to you. Release it through prayers (Meditate on Luke 10:19).
Embark on Spirit-led fasting and prayers; the Holy Spirit may reveal to you the red sea (altars and curses) limiting your blessings. Read my series of books and articles for more profound revelations.
5.
Your red sea can be your consistent bad behavior.
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
1
Thessalonians 5:22 KJV
When God commanded Moses to speak to the rock to produce water for the thirsty Israelites, he angrily stroked the rock. Moses could not enter the promised land because of his anger. Although Moses made it to the Celestial City after his death, he couldn’t enter Canaan because of his uncontrolled anger.
Could it be that the jealousy, inferiority complex, uncontrolled anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, slander, gossip, malice, lust, greed, masturbation, fornication, adultery, lying, stealing, murmuring, insults, desire for power, fame, riches, and other unseen evils are the reasons why you cannot enter your promised land?
Child of God, examine
your heart because negative thoughts and actions can become a red sea in your
life. Until your heart becomes clean, the red sea remains intact.
6.
Your red sea can be your association.
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what
fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath
light with darkness?
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that
believeth with an infidel?
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the
temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord,
and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters,
saith the Lord Almighty.
2 Corinthians 6:14 KJV
The person you listen to
can become your red sea or promised land. One crucial truth you cannot ignore
in life is that evil communication corrupts good manners (See 1
Corinthians 15:33).
It doesn’t matter how
anointed and Spirit-filled you are; if you consistently hear evil words from
friends, the media, and loved ones, they become a red sea in your life. Choose
your influencers carefully because their impact on your life has great consequences.
Examine yourself.
- Who have you allowed into your life?
- Is the person influencing you in the ways of God?
- How has the friendship and association positively increased your value?
- Is the person limiting you in life?
- Is the person taking precious values from you?
If the person is reducing you to rags, apply wisdom in that relationship. If the person is adding value to your life, tighten the gap. Some questions to ponder.
- What would have happened to Amnon if he disobeyed the counsels of his friend, Jonadab?
- What about Absalom and Ahitophel?
- Have you thought about Samson and Delilah?
7.
Your red sea can be anything that has replaced the Holy Spirit.
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD
thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the
children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
Exodus 20:5 KJV
Some people have allowed
their electronic gadgets to become their red sea. If you cannot live a minute,
an hour, a day, or a moment without your phone, laptop, or someone, that material has become your idol (red sea).
The Holy Spirit loves to
commune with us, and anytime you allow something to hinder your relationship
with him, it becomes a red sea in your life. Maybe your work, school, business,
marriage, children, and selfishness has become a red sea in your life.
Until you deal with that red sea, you remain a prisoner of the enemy. The Holy Spirit cannot share you with idols (electronic gadgets, friends, and assets). Create ample time for the Holy Spirit because your relationship with Him opens the door for you to access your promised land (Meditate on Romans 8:26-27).
