What is Love? (Understanding True Love, Lust, Passion and Infatuation) - 3
One of the most desirous
virtue humankind seeks with all their heart but fails to express is what I call true love. No man or woman can deny this truth; we desire love in every stage of our
lives. Animals, spiritual forces, and satanic agents even desire love.
If we can understand the
power of true love, this world will be one of the most peaceful solar systems
to live in. Productivity will increase in various countries and organizations
if true love takes the lead.
One of the most
outstanding seed (weapon) capable of solving the evil in this world is true love. Without
true love, the world will be full of disaster, war, and pain. If true love
takes the lead, we will not need the military because true love protects, gives,
and guides.
True love does not
destroy; it builds. If you have received true love from someone, you will
understand its power and nature. Many people do not understand true love, and
one of the most dangerous virtue one can express is emotional love without the
influence of the Holy Spirit.
Expressing love only from your
emotions is deadly because emotions are unstable. True love combines the
feelings, intellect, desires, and willpower of an individual. Any love outside
the domain of Christ Jesus (love) is deadly because the actual manufacturer of
love has no role to play in the action.
True love originates from
Christ Jesus because He is the giver and creator. Without Christ Jesus, we
cannot express true love. This is one reason the love of unbelievers and
professing “Christians” is unworthy. Know these truths.
- True love sees beyond nature.
- True love comes from the invisible holy realm.
- True love springs forth from the holy divine forces.
- True love can break the hardened soul if expressed with the wisdom and power of the Holy Spirit.
Until you understand the power of true love, you walk in darkness. True love has the power to resurrect a depressed soul when expressed in the ways of God. Know these truths.
- If you want to humble the wicked soul, express true love from your heart to that vessel.
- If you want people to connect with you, express true love from your heart in your daily activities.
- If you want the holy spiritual forces to surround you, express true love from your heart in your daily activities.
- If you want creation to assist you, express true love from your heart in your daily activities.
- If you want divine intervention, express true love from your heart in your daily activities.
- If you want the works of Satan and his minions to be useless in your life, express true love from your heart in your daily activities.
- If you want people to remember you forever in their hearts, express true love from your heart in your daily activities.
- If you want people to show you mercy, express love from your heart in your daily activities.
Child of God, true love
is a potent seed you sow in the life of others. Some people may not see your seeds
of true love, but the divine forces observe them. Nature will pay for the seeds
of true love you have sown in the world.
Your lineage will enjoy
blessings because of the seeds of true love you sowed in people's life. True love
demands sacrifice because it is a willful act. True love is not a forceful
virtue; you express it from your heart because it is a natural seed within you.
If you are born again, you don’t struggle to express true love because the seed of love (Holy Spirit) lives in you. Know these truths.
- True love does not lead to evil acts.
- True love elevates the vulnerable to a blissful atmosphere.
- True love brings hope to the hopeless.
- True love builds families and associations.
- True love breaks the chains of the enemy.
- True love builds an aura or an atmosphere of joy and prosperity.
- True love accelerates the productivity of businesses and economies.
- True love finds ways to correct human errors without harm.
- True love empowers people to concentrate on a single mission, vision, and assignment.
- True love creates an arena for the Holy Spirit to control an environment.
- True love dismantles the walls (curse, altars, and arrows) of the enemy.
- True love builds walls of holiness, purity, and righteousness in your life.
- True love eliminates human wickedness in your life and lineage.
- True love breaks the authority of wicked leadership in your jurisdiction.
- True love opens a portal for those in your circle to flourish without limitations.
- True love relieves you from pain and depressions.
- True love cures psychopathic and psychosomatic disorders.
We need the love of the
Holy Spirit because, without His seed, the world looms in wickedness. Do you
think people giving themselves out as sexual objects are expressing the love of
God? Such love has no place in God’s kingdom because the love of Christ Jesus
does not lead to evil.
Romantic love can only be
expressed in marriages. Child of God, you must understand the nature of true
love because we have different kinds of love. In my previous articles, I explained some types of love.
Reading those articles will broaden your understanding of true love, lust, and infatuation. In this article, I will use the lessons in the book of Genesis to help you understand true love, passion, lust, and infatuations.
And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of
Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the
Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.
And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was
in the house of his master the Egyptian.
And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD
made all that he did to prosper in his hand.
And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him
overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.
And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer
in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's
house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had
in the house, and in the field.
And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he
had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person,
and well favoured.
And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her
eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.
But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master
wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that
he hath to my hand;
There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he
kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how
then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he
hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.
And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the
house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house
there within.
And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his
garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.
Gen 39:1-12 KJV
Joseph, now a slave in
Potiphar’s house, became a target of the enemy. Potiphar’s wife saw that Joseph
was a good-looking man, and secondly, she saw God’s presence with him. She tried
to express “love” to Joseph.
Let’s examine the “love”
of Potiphar’s wife. First, she cast her eyes on Joseph. Potiphar’s "love" emanated from her eyes. She developed a passion for Joseph because of his
outward appearance. That wasn’t true love.
True love does not
emanate from outward appearance. Although outward appearance counts, expressing
love only on the outward appearance is lust. Nowadays, people express love only
on outward appearance.
When some women want to
choose marriage partners, they often check whether the man is handsome. They
check whether the man has six-packs. Six-packs mean the man is well built in
the body.
Most women check whether
the man has enough money, car keys, and a house. These women don’t want to start a relationship
with a man from scratch. They want “aben waha,” meaning already cooked and set
up for consumption.
Observing men's financial
status, health, cars, and outward appearance is not evil but note that if you
only conclude your decisions on a man based on those assessments before
choosing him as your marriage partner, you are acting outside true love.
Some women even check the
popularity and spiritual gifts of men before choosing them as marriage
partners. If you only conclude your partner from external appearance, you are
acting in lust, passion and infatuation.
I call such love, blind love because you failed to use the eyes of your heart. Like, Potiphar’s wife, she cast her eyes on Joseph because of his outward appearance. Some men chose women because of their external beauty, not knowing that beauty can fade and depreciate by age and life experiences (Meditate on Proverbs 31:30). Know these truths.
- True love looks at the inward beauty before considering the outward beauty.
- True love sees beyond the natural eyes.
- True love uses the principles in the Word of God (Holy Scriptures).
- True love does not conclude on the criteria of the world.
Let’s continue with the case study of Potiphar’s wife and Joseph. In verse seven of Genesis chapter thirty-nine, Potiphar’s wife made a strong proposal to Joseph. She said to Joseph, “lie with me.” The word “lie with me” in the holy scriptures means sexual intercourse.
Child of God, true love
does not demand sex at the initial stage of the relationship. In this century,
when a man dates a woman, there is likely to be sexual encounters. I often hear
from people and read in books that most men demand sex from women when dating.
Child of God, if you are
in a relationship and that partner pressures you to have sex, that person is
acting in lust. If you are dating or you meet someone for some days, weeks, or
months, and the person demands sex, that person is acting in lust.
It is not true love. Like
Potiphar’s wife, she demanded sex from Joseph because she had an evil eye. Any relationship driven by sex
is surviving in the river of lust. We don’t regulate the relationship with sex
and ungodly acts. God created sex for married couples, not for unmarried
couples or boys and girls.
In marriage, sex is a tool
couples use to create intimacy and procreation. Note these words carefully, if
you are dating and the potential partner constantly pressures you with sex,
that relationship is not from God.
Break that relationship
with divine wisdom. In the case of Joseph and Potiphar’s wife, the woman applied
force. She insisted Joseph have sex with her. If you read the account thoroughly,
you will realize that Joseph resisted the devious act of Potiphar’s wife, which
means true love takes place when the man and the woman are in the mood to have sex.
Also, note that a man and
woman are in the mood to have sexual intercourse is not a sign of true love because
harlots and womanizers are always in the mood to have sex. It has got to the
extent that some people love to engage in man-to-man sex, woman-to-woman sex,
human-to-animal sex, human to toys sex, phone sex, masturbation, porn videos, and
all sort of unnatural sexual activities.
Today, some “human
beings” are pressuring the government to legalize gay marriage, lesbianism,
bisexualism, transgenderism, asexualism, transsexualism, pansexualism,
agenderism, bigenderism, intersex, bestiality, and all forms of satanic human
rights because lust is dominating the system.
Most men and women have
several reasons for getting married. Some women feel they are growing old; some
feel they need children; others enter marriage because of pressure, competition,
desire for children, ownership of the partner’s assets, the fame of the partner,
and several parochial interest.
If you think everybody enters
a relationship and marriage because of love, then you are deceived. The driving
force of many marriageable vessels in this generation is not driven by love and
purpose.
Most of these desires emanate
from the seed of lust and greediness. This is one reason we see and hear of abuse and divorce.
Until you understand the nature of true love, your relationship rests on the
fountain of sand.
It takes true love to
hold a relationship. Despite the hurt, you hold on to love. Christ Jesus loved
us in our sinful state (See Romans 5:8). He died for our sins and rose for our justification.
Christ Jesus expects us to express His love towards the sinner and correct them
in love.
We must be like Christ
Jesus because He is our ultimate leader. We must hate the sin with holy hunger and
love the sinner with divine love. That is the true expression of true love. True
love overrules the imperfection of others.
Like a gold dealer, he
does not care about the dirt. He is interested in gold, so he enters deep into
the earth to bring out the gold. We are imperfect beings looking for the
perfect light (Christ Jesus).
If Christ Jesus should count iniquity, no one on earth will be alive (See Psalms 130:3). Despite our imperfection, Christ Jesus loves us, and He expects us to follow His steps by refraining from evil activities.
True love rebukes the sinner from the path of destruction. True love does not keep silent when an individual is on the path to destruction. It takes the love of Christ Jesus to sacrifice your comfort zone to preach the gospel to the lost soul. True love compels a man to sacrifice his comfort zone, business, and job to work as a Christian missionary.
Without the love of Christ Jesus, people will not be willing to enter hostile lands to preach the good news. The love of Christ Jesus empowers a man to sacrifice his family, time, money, and energy to help others know Christ Jesus. Are you expressing true love?
