Dealing with the Invisible Barriers That Hinders Productivity and Spiritual Growth (Dominating the Five Self Deadly Enemies)
We often blame Satan and
his cohorts for every misery in our lives. Because of this ignorance, we become
self-destructive. Like a child washing an electronic laptop in water, such a
child destroys the device by his deeds, not knowing the consequences.
That is how some people
act. They allow the seed of ignorance to become a barrier in their life, and
one of the dangerous people you can ever live with is an ignorant person. Most
often, ignorant people are sincere in their dealings.
Such a person might think
he is doing the right thing, not knowing the dangers. Like pigs, they love
dirty places because that is how they have programmed themselves. You can wash
and put them in a clean environment; they will find ways to make themselves and
the place dirty.
Such is an ignorant man
(in my writing, wherever you see a man, include the woman). I wrote a short book
titled the devil is innocent
and later changed the title to take
responsibility because I thought and felt endorsing the devil.
Many things happen in our
life because of the decisions we make. The devil plays a vital role in
destroying some things in our lives; I admit that wisdom because I have written
several
books and articles (Spiritual warfare label) on the devil and its systems.
We must also examine
ourselves to see the causes of the problems and challenges in life. If the law
court sues you for an offence, they don’t care whether you know the laws or not;
they emphasize in their law court that “ignorance of the law is no excuse.”
Such is life; if you fail
to take responsibility, you will always walk in depression. To come out of
disappointment and depression, occasionally examine your life. Socrates said, “the
unexamined life is not worth living.”
This means if you do not
find time to ask why things are failing and progressing, you are playing in
life. You are likely to produce the same mistakes in life if you fail to
examine yourself and the season.
Although some philosophers
don’t believe in the system of cause and effect, they think that anything that
happens in life results from the decision we have intentionally made. For
example, some people believe that you are not happy because you have decided
not to make yourself comfortable.
Some people also believe
that you are not happy because of some causes. I think that every problem has a
reason. In most of my books
and articles, I enumerate
the causes and provide practical solutions. We cannot point every problem and
challenge we face in life to the devil because we have enemies within. In the
book of Jeremiah, we see a profound word.
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately
wicked: who can know it?
I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every
man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Jeremiah 17:9-10 KJV
From the Holy Scriptures,
God is making an important declaration to humankind. The Creator of the
universe and the things that live in it declares that the heart (soul of man)
is desperately wicked.
This means our soul
controls our body. The unrenewed soul (mind) is capable of doing unimaginable
things. I read some books about serial killers and how they trapped their
victims. After reading those books, I concluded that a man without the Holy
Spirit could never be trusted.
I think I would have
worked as a criminologist, investigator, or psychologist if Christ Jesus did
not call and send me into the ministry. Child of God, the Lord knows the heart
of humankind, and He has confirmed in his Word that the heart of unsaved is extremely
wicked.
This means there are
things in our lives the devil has no business in it. Today, some people have
developed advanced biological weapons to depopulate the world. Some globalists believe
the best way to maintain the world is to reduce the population.
Several physicians, doctors, professors, and researchers have alerted the
authorities (World Health Organization) to halt the so-called vaccines because
of their dangers to humanity. The
inventor of the mRNA vaccines, Dr Robert Malone, and other qualified medical doctors,
virologists, and physicians have signaled the world to stop the
vaccination because of its irreversible dangers.
These
specialists have discovered proven
medicines to treat the virus called the corona,
yet some people recommend the “vaccines.” Child of God, we cannot blame the
devil for every evil because we have humans with the mentality of animals and
demons living among us. In the book of John, we see a profound word,
Now when he [Jesus] was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day,
many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.
But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,
And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in
man.
John
2:23-25 KJV
Our Lord and Saviour Christ
Jesus affirmed the words He spoke to Jeremiah to the Jews at the feast. Christ Jesus
did not commit himself unto men because he knew how weak and wicked human
beings were.
Christ Jesus decided not
to reveal everything about himself to humankind because of their vulnerability.
Child of God, we have some responsibility if we want to climb higher in life. In
this article, I will share with you five deadly enemies you must deal with
because the devil and his cohorts have little or no role to play in that field.
Failure to address these enemies is to your detriment.
1. The desires of the
flesh
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of
the flesh.
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the
flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the
things that ye would.
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these;
Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife,
seditions, heresies,
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which
I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which
do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:16-31 KJV
Apostle Paul describes
that the flesh war against the leadership of the Holy Spirit in our life. For
more profound revelations, read my book, How to Walk and Live in
the Spirit and How to Live and Deal with Enemies.
Our flesh can become
enemies to the Holy Spirit if we fail to control it. For example, masturbation,
adultery, fornication, witchcraft, hatred, and other evil desires described in
the holy scriptures are seeds of the flesh.
If you are caged in the
prison of adultery, fornication, jealousy, and other invisible sins, don’t
blame the devil because these desires emanate from the flesh. Although demons
play a specific role in making people engage in evil deeds, the devil and his
cohorts can never access our life until the flesh opens the door.
For example, ants will
always gather around food. Until you place the food in a specified area, ants
will never come near the place. In this case, the man who placed the food in
that jurisdiction is the flesh, and the ants gathered around the food are the
demons.
The devil and his cohorts
wait for the flesh to open the door. Take responsibility today because you have
the power to control the desires of the flesh. Read my book, how to train the human
spirit, for a more profound revelation on the strategies to
train the human spirit and dominate the desires of the human flesh.
Christ Jesus had the
power to deny the crucifixion, but he willfully sacrificed himself (See Luke
22:41-42). That’s willpower. Stop blaming the devil and ask the Holy Spirit to
grant you the grace to walk and live-in dominion.
The devil and his cohorts
cannot force you to do evil, so take responsibility. Even if they force you to
engage in evil things, resist them using the name of Christ Jesus and the Word
(Holy Scriptures).
When the flesh tempts you
with evil, engage in an activity that will take your mind off the temptation.
Associate with people who will help you live in the Spirit (Meditate on 2
Corinthians 6:14-18, 1 Thessalonians 5:22). Create
a consistent relationship and fellowship with the Holy Spirit to
disarm the traps of the enemy.
Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ,
who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with
that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us
as if we walked according to the flesh.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty
through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself
against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the
obedience of Christ;
2 Corinthians 10:1-5 KJV
The human mind is one of
the greatest fixed and intangible assets in life. If you invest it with
relevant information, it becomes productive. It becomes ineffective,
self-destructive, and liable if you feed it with evil information.
Apostle Paul writes to
the church in Corinth from the Holy Scriptures that we do not war against the
flesh because our battle is spiritual (See Ephesians 6:12). Paul writes that we
must cast down every imagination and high thing that rises against the
knowledge of God and bring it under the subjection of the Word (Holy
Scriptures).
One crucial truth you
must realize is that there is an invisible battle taking place in our minds.
The devil and cohorts seek to dominate our minds with evil thoughts and desires.
Our mind is the playground.
Failure to guard your
mind makes you vulnerable to the enemy's attacks. If you don’t renew your mind
with the Word of God, you will always think and behave like unbelievers, wild
animals, insane people, and demons.
Failure to feed your soul
with the Word (Holy Scriptures) makes you faithless, depressed, and wicked in
your thoughts. When your mind is empty of God’s Word, Satan and his minions
will have dominion over your thoughts, emotions, and desires. Evil friends and
ungodly activities will dominate your mind making you self-destructive.
Guard your soul (mind) by
feeding it with the Word (See Romans 12:1-2). The more you feed on God’s Word,
it nourishes your soul and makes you conform to the leadership of the Holy
Spirit. Evil thoughts will not control you when your mind is full of God’s Word.
When the Word fills your
soul, your decisions will always lead to the perfect will of God (Meditate on 1
Peter 2:2, Hebrews 4:12, Jeremiah 23:29). If the Word dominates your soul, the invisible
enemies cannot control you.
3. Secret sins
…Sin is the transgression of the law.
1 John 3:4 KJV
Sin means the transgression
of the law (God’s Word). We have types and levels of sin. We have visible sins,
great sins, unpardonable sins, little sins, invisible sins, sin against self,
sin against God, sin against creation, and sins generated by evil spirits.
We have transgression,
iniquities, and trespasses within the seed of sin. Secret sins are sins one
engages in purposely to hide from others. This sin often opens the portal for
the enemy to access your life.
Secret sins work with invisible
sins. For example, masturbation, hatred, and jealousy in the heart are hidden
sins or invisible sins. You give the devil and his cohorts the spiritual
license to torment your soul when you engage in secret sin.
For example, Cain became jealous
of his brother Abel. This sin opened the portal for the devil to control Cain
leading to murder. For more profound revelations, read my book, the mysteries of Jealousy.
If you don’t disengage
from secret sin, you will always feel unworthy to fellowship with the Holy
Spirit. Secret sin will harden your heart, making you unrealistic in life. You
will think like a mad person when sin dominates your heart.
Read my book, Spiritual Keys for life,
for more profound revelations on sin. Meditate on these holy scriptures.
…every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his
own lust, and enticed.
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it
is finished, bringeth forth death.
James 1:14-15 KJV
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23 KJV
4. Unforgiveness
We live among imperfect
people. No matter your innocence, someone will offend you. I know how it feels
when people intentionally offend us. Take it from me; unforgiveness is an
invisible enemy you must conquer.
In my book, Spiritual seeds for growth,
I have enumerated some practical keys you can use to break the seed of
unforgiveness. Holding grudges in your heart leads to bitterness, and
bitterness will lead to psychotic and psychosomatic diseases.
If bitterness dominates
your heart, you will develop strange diseases in your body and mind. Stop
blaming the devil and learn to forgive offenders because you have also offended
someone. Maybe I should be specific, you have offended God numerous times.
God has shown you mercies
several times, but you have decided to hold grudges in your heart. Can I
present to you that the person you are holding grudges against is freely
enjoying himself? You cannot drink hot water or poison (tonic of unforgiveness
and bitterness) and expect to live. Unforgiveness in your heart has great
implications on your health so think twice! Know these truths.
- You become an enemy to yourself and others when you hold unforgiveness in your heart.
- Demons will send you a friend request in the realms of the spirit when you hold unforgiveness in your heart.
- You will attract evil-minded people when you hold unforgiveness in your heart.
- The Holy Spirit will distance himself from you when you hold unforgiveness in your heart.
- Righteous and holy vessels will distance themselves from you when you hold unforgiveness in your heart (Meditate on Matthew 18:21-35).
5. Pride
…God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the
humble.
James
4:6 KJV
Pride means rejecting
God’s help and depending solely on yourself (absolute independence). Lucifer
lost his position in the Celestial City because of pride (See Isaiah 14:12-15).
From the Holy Scriptures, Apostle James writes that God resists the proud and
gives grace to the humble.
This means God will
resist you if you reject the Lordship of Christ Jesus and solely rely on your
assets (gifts, money, house, family, and business). Child of God, if you don’t
want to become an enemy to God, humble yourself.
If you become an enemy to
God, the devil becomes your friend, and note that the devil has nothing good
for you (See John 10:10). Humility is one of the essential virtues to break the
enemy’s defences and attract the Lord’s blessings. Humility is an invisible
virtue of the Holy Spirit. Decide to humble yourself in the sight of God, and
He will defend you in the realms of the Spirit.
