The Mysteries of Household Enemies and Wickedness | Escaping the Enemy’s Trap |
I felt the Holy Spirit telling
me to write about this topic because many people live with pretenders. One of
the deadliest people you can meet in life is pretenders. They claim to be your
friend, but deep within, they are full of hatred, lies, and wickedness.
If you check the topic of
this article, you will realize that I chose these four words, mysteries,
household, enemies, and wickedness. I am not writing this article to make you
cynical but to make you live in wisdom.
Have you ever thought about
why God gave us two brains, two eyes, two ears, two hands, and two legs? One
reason is that God wants us to think before acting. It is good to be optimistic.
However, some people will deceive you if you don’t look at the other side of
the coin.
Households are people
within your circles. They can be your family, church, workmates, classmates,
and loved ones. We have seven types of enemies. I will not unveil all the
enemies in this article.
I will dissect the
household enemies in this article. For more profound revelations, get my series of books. An enemy is someone who desires your downfall
(failure, destruction, and death).
Most often, enemies use the weapon of false accusation, jealousy, malice,
persecution, lies, slander, and hatred to destroy their opponent.
As far as you are a human
being, you have enemies. You don’t have to search for enemies. It is said that
the day you were born was the day your enemy was born. Even the Creator of the
universe has enemies.
Have you ever thought about
why babies cry when they come out of their mother’s womb? The cry of the baby
signifies that he has entered an imperfect world. The baby sees enemies all
around.
That is one reason babies
cry when doctors bring them from their mother’s womb. Haven’t you seen animals
fighting each other? Domestic animals such as cats, dogs, goats, and hens fight
each other.
Wild animals such as
tigers, lions, and wolves fight each other. If animals fight each other, it
means there are enemies within your household (neighborhood). Animals fighting
each other should alert you that you have an enemy.
It doesn’t matter how
poor, rich, weak, strong, famous, ordinary, or powerful you are; you have
enemies. Some people will hate you for no reason. Know these truths.
- Some people will hate you for your tribe.
- Some people will hate you for your height.
- Some people will hate you for your poverty.
- Some people will hate you for your prosperity
- Some people will hate you for your fame.
- Some people will hate you for your position.
- Some people will hate you for your progress and promotion.
- Some people will hate you because you are not making progress.
- Some people will hate you because you are an introvert.
- Some people will hate you because you are an extrovert.
- Some people will hate you because you are optimistic.
- Some people will hate you because you are pessimistic.
- Some people will hate you for your temperament.
- Some people will hate you for your personality.
- Some people will hate you because you are tall.
- Some people will hate you because you are short.
- Some people will hate you because you are large and possess big muscles.
- Some people will hate you because you are slim.
- Some people will hate you because you act strong.
- Some people will hate you because you act weak.
- Some people will hate you because you are an African.
- Some people will hate you because you are an American.
- Some people will hate you because you are an Asian.
- Some people will hate you because you are from the continent of Europe.
- Some people will hate you because you are from the continent of Antarctica.
- Some people will hate you because you are an Australian.
- Some people will hate you because you are from the continent of Oceania.
- Some people will hate you because of your passion and persistence.
- Some people will hate you because you are gifted and talented.
- Some people will hate you because others like and love you.
- Some people will hate you because you love holiness, purity, and sanctification.
- Some people will hate you for your faith in God.
- Some people will hate you because you follow Christ Jesus.
- Some people will hate you because you are religious.
- Some people will hate you because you don’t like food.
- Some people will hate you because you love fasting.
- Some people will hate you because of the profession you chose.
- Some people will hate you because you love righteousness and truth.
- Some people will hate you because you are a human being.
- Some people will hate you because you are alive.
The Holy Scriptures state
that the heart of man is desperately wicked.
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately
wicked: who can know it?
Jeremiah
17:9 KJV
A man that is not born of the Spirit and the Word is
dangerous because they have not submitted to the influence of the Holy Spirit.
This is one reason you must apply wisdom when connecting with people.
Today we have online
enemies. People steal data online and sell it to companies. It is said that
data is the goldmine and oil of this century. If people can gather data online,
they can sell it to large companies and individuals to make money.
Wickedness in the twenty-first
century is invisible to the extent that people use illegal ways to acquire
money. Scams and frauds are rising each day. The fact that the Holy Bible
states that our battle is spiritual does not mean that we don’t have physical
enemies.
As stated at the
beginning of the article, we have seven types of enemies. Check out my series of books for more profound revelations. Haven’t you read
in books, graphics, and magazines that people destroying and killing others?
We see and hear of
atrocities on the internet, on television, and in various media centers. Some women
killed their husbands and children for temporal assets such as cars, houses,
and lands. Some men murder their wives and children because they tag them as
enemies.
We see and hear people
killing human beings on the media for money, fame, power, and pleasure. Several
people are into secret societies causing calamities and destruction in
countries, cities, families, villages, and governmental bodies.
Family members killing
others because of the deceased left some temporal properties. Haven’t you read how
Delilah betrayed Samson for money in the Holy Bible? Haven’t you read in the
Bible how Judas Iscariot betrayed our Saviour and Lord Christ Jesus for money?
Cain murdered his brother
in cold blood. This is household wickedness. Haven’t you read how David
betrayed his trusted warrior Uriah in the Bible. David impregnated Uriah’s wife
and murdered him through war.
Haven’t you read in the
Bible how Absalom commanded Joab to assassinate his brother Amnon in cold
blood. Haven’t you read in the Bible how Ahithophel (David’s advisor) counseled
Absalom (David’s son) to sleep with David’s wives.
Haven’t you read in the
Bible how Haman planned to murder the Jews in cold blood. It took the power of
God and the wisdom of Esther and Mordecai to stop this atrocity. This is
household wickedness.
Haven’t you read in the Bible
how Jezebel murdered an innocent man (Naboth) just to get Naboth’s garden for
his husband (Ahab)? Rebekah was an enemy to her son Esau. She conspired with
his other son (Jacob) to get Isaac’s blessings.
Haven’t you read in the Bible
how forty Jews conspired to assassinate Apostle Paul in cold blood? These Jews
knew murder was a sin but decided to kill an innocent man in cold blood. It
took Paul's nephew and God's mercies to avert this assassination.
This is household
(church) enemies (wickedness). You can have enemies in the church, workplace,
house, school, and neighborhood. This is one reason you must walk and live in
wisdom. Christ Jesus said a man’s enemy should be those of his household.
And a man's foes shall be they of his own
household.
Matthew
10:36 KJV
If Christ Jesus made this
statement, we must live with our family members, workmates, classmates, and
church members in wisdom. You will be hated by most of your family members
(household) because of your faith in Christ Jesus.
Familiarity
will blind those around you. The people around you will only see your weakness
and failures. Do you know Christ Jesus could not perform great miracles in his
hometown? The religious people and unbelievers assessed Christ Jesus by his
family.
And he [Jesus] went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples
follow him.
And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue:
and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man
these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even
such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and
Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they
were offended at him.
But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his
own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon
a few sick folk, and healed them.
And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the
villages, teaching.
Mark 6:1-6 KJV
Christ Jesus said a prophet
is without honor in his own country. The people within Christ Jesus home town
had little or no faith in his works and wisdom, so Jesus could not do mighty
works. Sometimes household enemies can make you powerless and useless because
they see nothing good in you.
Household enemies can
mock your wisdom and despise your credibility because they cannot value you. They
can destroy your reputation and falsely accuse you if you are in the workplace.
Your progress and productivity threaten household enemies.
Meanwhile, some of them
will be smiling with you, but deep within, they are full of hatred and
wickedness. This is one reason Christ Jesus did not commit himself to human
beings.
Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day,
many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.
But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men,
And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in
man.
John 2:23-25 KJV
If Christ Jesus did not
put his faith in human beings, why should you put your faith in human beings?
The Bible states that you become cursed when you put all your trust in human beings
and forsake God.
Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and
maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when
good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in
a salt land and not inhabited.
Jeremiah 17:5-6 KJV
Note here that there is a
difference between trust, faith, believe, and hope. Pastor David Yonggi Cho
defined faith as “believing in the Word (the Holy Bible) and acting on it as
led by the Holy Spirit.”
Hope means believing in
the future. Believe is a subset of faith. That is, without faith, you cannot
believe. Believing in something does not mean having faith because faith is of
the Word. Faith comes from the Word (see Romans 10:17).
Faith is now (active and
present). Faith is a spiritual force that spiritual beings see, feel, hear,
touch and experience. Like food, we can smell, experience, touch, feel, sense,
and see it. The same applies to faith.
God and His angels can
feel, touch, experience, see, and hear faith because it is a currency (food) to
them. Believe is a process. It takes time for your “believe” to turn into
faith. Trust is an affirmation of your faith.
For example, you have
faith that you have passed your exams and graduated. Trust makes you prepare
for the graduation. Hope keeps believing that you will pass and graduate.
Believe works in your heart and mind that you will surely pass the exam and
graduate.
Faith gives substance,
credence, value, and evidence to your hope, while trust in the Word gives
evidence to your faith. Get my book, How to unlock the gates of faith,
for more profound revelation.
We must put our faith in God
because He alone deserves it. You can have some hope in man. You can believe
that a man can do something but do not put your faith and trust in human
beings.
Even if you should have
some faith and trust in human beings, limit it because human beings can change
and lie to you (meditate on Numbers 23:19). For example, having faith in a
human being that he cannot do evil is a stupidity (curse) because man is
capable of lying and cheating (meditate on Jeremiah 17:9, Matthew 15:19, Mark
7:21-22).
The natural man
(unbeliever) has little or no influence from the Holy Spirit, so he does what
he feels. This is one of the reasons you shouldn’t even believe in people who
are not full of the Holy Spirit.
I have some believe in human
beings, but I do not put my faith and trust in them. Putting your trust and
faith in human beings and forsaking the Lord activates the curse of God (see Jeremiah 17:5-6).
In the book of Micah, we find a profound Word.
Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the
doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.
For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her
mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are
the men of his own house.
Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my
salvation: my God will hear me.
Micah 7:5-7 KJV
By the inspiration of the
Holy Spirit, the prophet Micah writes that we should not put our trust in
people. We should not put our confidence in counselors because they can lie to
us. The prophet further writes that a man’s enemy shall be those of his own
house.
The people you trust as
loved ones can turn against you. Micah, the prophet, writes that he will depend
on God. As stated, you cannot trust or put your faith in human beings. You can
have some faith (hope) in someone that he can help you but at the same time,
put your faith in God.
God helps people through
human beings, but he does not want you to put all your faith in human beings
and ignore Him. God can even use animals and several mediums to help you because
he fed Elijah with a raven.
God does not want you to
put your trust in his creation. He wants you to put your faith and trust in Him
because He is omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (knows everything), and
omnipresent (everywhere).
Putting your faith in
mere (limited) human beings who are not full of the Word and the Holy Spirit is
suicidal because they can forsake and eliminate you anytime and anywhere. Pray
earnestly before choosing a marriage partner because an incompatible partner
can create problems (premature
death, sickness, and
calamities). Below is a prayer in the book of psalms that talks about household
enemies.
Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen
violence and strife in the city.
Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also
and sorrow are in the midst of it.
Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not
from her streets.
For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could
have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did
magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine
acquaintance.
We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God
in company.
Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell:
for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.
Psalms 55:9-15 KJV
David prayed to God about
household enemies. If you check the background of the enemies, you will realize
that Ahithophel and some close foes conspired to destroy David. David stated
that they took counsel together to eliminate him.
The enemy was his guide. The
enemy was one of his own. It doesn’t matter how close a person is to you; that
person can be your enemy. It doesn’t matter whether he is in the church; the
person can be your enemy because the enemy can act as an angel of light (see 2
Corinthians 11:14).
One thing about household
enemies is that they are difficult to detect. However, if you are
Spirit-filled, wise, smart, and knowledgeable, you can detect them. I have had
several dreams of seeing some of my closest friends, family members, people I
have worked with, people I consider mentors, and spiritual leaders setting a deadly
trap for me.
Household enemies can
eliminate you in silence if you are not watchful (meditate on Matthew 26:41).
They can manipulate you easily because they live close to you. I will share
with you five ways to deal with household enemies. Follow these practical and
biblical keys, and you will triumph over every enemy, especially household
enemies.
Five Practical and Biblical Ways to deal with Enemies (Household Enemies)
1. Surrender your life to Christ Jesus
Without the protection of
Christ Jesus, you live at the mercies of your enemies. Some enemies visit
shrines to cast spells and curses on you and those connected to you at certain
hours and seasons.
If you are not born again, these wicked enemies can trap you
and end your life. With Christ Jesus on your side, these wicked enemies cannot
triumph over you because He will fight for you in the spiritual realm.
Also, know that in the enemy’s
kingdom, the strongest dominates. Using charms to protect yourself is dangerous
because some enemies have stronger charms higher than yours. No power can
subdue the power of Christ Jesus; therefore, repent and surrender your life to
Christ Jesus for protection. Pray this prayer to receive salvation (deliverance
from the enemy).
PRAYER
OF SALVATION (CONFESS THIS PRAYER WITH ALL YOUR HEART)
Heavenly
Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ. Please forgive me of all my
sin and wash me by the blood of Jesus Christ. I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord
and personal Saviour. I will follow and love you with all my heart.
Amen.
2. Consistently pray in the Spirit.
Prayer has the power to
deliver you from the traps of the enemy. When I get bad dreams, I often break
them through prayer. Other times, I fast and pray to break the bad dreams. When
I get good dreams, I pray they manifest in my life.
Constantly praying in the
Spirit opens the portal for the Holy Spirit to intercede for you (meditate on
Romans 8:26-27). As a Christian believer, prayer is one of your weapons.
Without prayer, the enemy can take advantage of you.
This is one reason
Apostle Paul writes that we must pray without ceasing (see 1 Thessalonians
5:17). Find time to pray against every plan of the enemy in your life and those
connected to you because the enemy is always seeking someone to devour
(meditate on 1 Peter 5:8-9, Ephesians 6:10-18).
Like David, he prayed a
powerful prayer against household enemies (see Psalms 55:9-15). There are
numerous prayer points and missiles in the book of psalms. Check out my book, the Prophetic Sword, for
more profound revelation.
Vengeance belongs to the
Lord (see Romans 12:19). The Lord will fight for you if you leave the battle to
him. There is invisible power in prayer; therefore, do not ignore the prayers.
Check out my article, the
power of prayer for more profound revelation.
3. Read more of God's Word (Holy Bible) and relevant books.
There is power in God’s
Word. As stated by Apostle Paul that the Word of God is quick and powerful (see
Hebrews 4:12). The Word of God has the power to break every stronghold of the enemy
(see Jeremiah 23:29).
When you pray the Word of
God, it releases power (see Jeremiah 5:14). Decreeing, declaring, and
professing the Word of God can break the enemy’s plan and destroy his traps.
When you decree the Word of God with your tongue and with faith, you command the
angels of God to fight for you because the angels of God submit to the Word.
The devil and his minions
submit to the Word of God. Study the Word of God to help you break the battle
of the mind because the enemy can attack your soul (mind, intellect, emotion,
and desires).
When you are one with the
Word of God, the enemy’s manipulation will not dominate you. Also, develop the
habit of reading relevant books because relevant knowledge sharpens you to make
better decisions.
If you are ignorant of
the enemy’s devices, you will always fall into his traps. Ignorance can enslave
you in the enemy’s territory (meditate on 2 Corinthians 2:11, Hosea 4:6). The
more you read, the higher you grow in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
When you are wise, smart, knowledgeable, full of God’s Word, and filled with
the Holy Spirit, you will not fall into the enemy's trap (meditate on 2
Corinthians 10:3-5).
4. Don't put your faith (trust)
in human beings.
As stated, anyone that
puts his faith and trust in human beings and forsakes the Lord becomes cursed. You
will fall prey to the traps of the enemy if you don’t build your trust in the
Lord. When people see that all your trust is in them, you become vulnerable to
them.
They can manipulate and
misuse you, but if your trust is in the Lord, they will not get the upper hand in
manipulating you. Follow the principle of Christ Jesus. He did not commit
himself unto men (including women) because he knew what was in man (meditate on
John 2:23-25).
Christ Jesus knew humankind's
vulnerability, deception, wickedness, weakness, and corruption, so he did not
put his faith in them. Christ Jesus saw the betrayal of Peter, so he alerted
Peter before the crucifixion.
Christ Jesus knew Judas
Iscariot would betray him, but he still walked with him. Get me right; I am not
saying that you should be suspicious of every person you meet, nor am I saying
that you don’t believe anyone.
Let your trust in human
beings have limitations. Even if you believe in human beings, do not forsake
the Lord or break your trust with God. Partially trust human beings. Expect
evil and good from anyone. It doesn’t matter whom you are dealing with. Your trust
and faith must be in the Lord alone (meditate on Numbers 23:19, Jeremiah 17:5-8).
5. Stay away from a hostile
environment.
Have you ever thought about
why God told Joseph to escape to Egypt with baby Jesus and Mary? God could have
killed Herod, but He commanded Joseph and Mary to escape for their lives
because Jesus’ life was in danger.
There are some enemies
you shouldn’t fight because you are limited in strength, wisdom, and resources.
Some enemies have nothing to lose. Fighting such enemies is foolish because
they are ready to die at any cost. Your life is too precious to fight some
enemies. Like Christ Jesus, he temporarily departed from the land of his
enemies.
After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in
Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.
John
7:1 KJV
Then from that day forth
they took counsel together for to put him to death.
Jesus therefore walked no
more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the
wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.
John
11:53-54 KJV
Are you ready to separate
from some enemies? Maybe it is time to resign from the organization and join a
new one? Perhaps it is time to vacate your current location and move to a
different location.
Maybe it is time to make changes because God wants you to leave. The people surrounding you are limiting your walk with the Holy Spirit. It's time to create a long gap with some “friends,” enemies, and associations because your life is precious.
