Unveiling the Mysteries of the Trinity (God in Three Persons) – 2
In my previous article,
I gave a short biblical exposition about the Holy Trinity. Check out that
article for more profound revelation before reading this article. In this article,
I use many Holy Scriptures to defend the doctrine of the Trinity.
I will show you from
the Holy Scriptures how Christ Jesus proved Himself to be God Almighty. Christ
Jesus proved the Holy Trinity in the Holy Scriptures. In my previous article, I
stated that there is a great difference between these three statements.
1. One God in three
persons.
2. Three Gods in three
persons.
3. Three Gods in one person.
The correct statement
should be one God in three persons. If you believe in the second statement, you
will visualize God as three separate entities operating in three different vessels.
That is an error. If
you believe in the third statement, you will visualize God as three separate
entities operating in one person. That will be a crush and a confusion. God is
one, and He operates in three distinct persons who work differently and
cooperatively.
No one is greater than the other. They work in unity, with each one operating independently. It is a mystery you cannot grasp with your mind. It takes your spiritual senses to connect with this truth. Several “religious leaders” claimed to be the way of life. Below are some “religious leaders.”
- Mohammed
- Gautama Buddha
- Zoroaster
- Brahma
- Laozi
- Krishna
Our Saviour and Lord
stated that He is the only way to God (the Heavenly Father). According to
Christ Jesus, those who came before him and even those who came after him
claiming to be the way to God are thieves and robbers.
All who came before me were thieves and robbers…
John 10:8 KJV
Christ Jesus is the
way, the truth, and life (see John 14:6). No one can come to God (KING OF Kings
and LORD OF Lords) except by Christ Jesus because He lives in the bosom of God.
Any other way to God is illegal and demonic. Christ Jesus proved to his
disciples, religious people, and unbelievers that He is God. Let’s read from
the Holy Scriptures.
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham
was, I am.
John 8:58 KJV
In the above Holy
Scriptures, the religious people questioned the authority of Christ Jesus. The
Pharisees and other religious people emphasized that Abraham was their father.
Remember, God made a
covenant with Abraham that his lineage shall be his children. In his response,
Christ Jesus declared He existed before Abraham came into being. Examining this
statement, Christ Jesus stated that He is God Almighty.
The religious people
tried stoning Christ Jesus, but He escaped because it was not his time for him
to die. In another section of the gospel, Christ Jesus revealed himself to the
religious people and unbelievers as the KING of Kings and the LORD of the Lords.
And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy:
and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in
because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through
the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are
forgiven thee.
And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this
which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
Luke
5:18-21 KJV
If you study the above
Holy Scriptures, you will realize that the religious people knew that God alone
has the power to forgive sins. Christ Jesus proved to the religious people that
he had the power to forgive sins because He is God.
Christ Jesus (Yahweh)
came in the flesh to reconcile us to the Heavenly Father (see 1 Timothy 3:16).
There is another section in the Holy Scriptures I want to share with you about
the Holy Trinity. Read the Holy Scriptures with the mind of the Spirit
These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to Heaven, and said,
Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give
eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God,
and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou
gavest me to do.
And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory
which I had with thee before the world was.
John
17:1-5 KJV
Christ Jesus prayed
before his disciples and made a profound statement. He said the Heavenly Father
should glorify him with the glory he had with him before creation began. Christ
Jesus was living with the Heavenly Father before the world came into existence!
His revelatory prayer continues.
I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the
world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are
of thee.
For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they
have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and
they have believed that thou didst send me.
I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast
given me; for they are thine.
And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I
come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast
given me, that they may be one, as we are.
While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that
thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition;
that the scripture might be fulfilled.
And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that
they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they
are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that
thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into
the world.
And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be
sanctified through the truth.
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe
on me through their word;
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in
thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou
hast sent me.
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be
one, even as we are one:
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and
that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou
hast loved me.
Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me
where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou
lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
John
17:6-24 KJV
I hope you are catching
the biblical revelation. Christ Jesus was revealing the Trinity to his
disciples. The Heavenly Father loved Christ Jesus before the foundation of the
world.
This means Christ Jesus
was communing with the Heavenly Father. Christ Jesus was living in the bosom of
the Heavenly Father. Christ Jesus was active in creation. When the world was
empty, void and darkness covered it; Christ Jesus was fellowshipping with the
Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit. The Heavenly Father sent Christ Jesus to
fulfill prophecy. In the records of God, the Son (Christ Jesus) was ordained to
die for our sins.
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are
not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the
world.
Revelation
13:8 KJV
Before God set the
foundation of the world, Christ Jesus (the Lamb of God) had decided to die for
our sins! The Heavenly Father, the Holy Spirit, and the Son (Christ Jesus) are
one in power, wisdom, and authority.
Christ Jesus revealed
Himself to creation so the angels and other creations could experience God in
human form. Let’s conclude this Holy Scripture with the words of Christ Jesus.
I and my Father are one.
John
10:30 KJV
When you see God the
Father, you have seen Christ Jesus. When you see God the Holy Spirit, you have
seen Christ Jesus. When you see Christ Jesus, you have seen the Holy Spirit and
the Heavenly Father (meditate on 1 John 5:8-9).
