Divine Authority in the Season of Constant Spiritual Attacks and Afflictions

Spiritual warfare principles

In the book of Colossians, Apostle Paul writes that Christ Jesus has defeated Satan and his minions yet the devil and his minions keep fighting us. Maybe you should read for yourself.

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Colossians 1:12-13 KJV

And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Colossians 2:15 KJV

If Christ Jesus has defeated Satan and his minions, why do the devil and his minions attack us in the spiritual realm? The Holy Spirit has revealed the devil’s strategies to me in the spiritual realm.

I have realized that the devil uses the weapon of fear to issue his attacks. If Christ Jesus has defeated the devil and his minions, then it is a waste of time to engage in spiritual warfare. Well, keep reading because the Word of God is coded.

I mean, the Word of God is a mystery. If you take the Word of God literally, you will miss the revelation. I wrote a short book, should we fight? In that book, I enumerated the top twenty-two reasons we must engage in spiritual warfare.

In this article, I will reveal more revelations to you about spiritual warfare. I have seen the devil face to face more than three times in the spiritual realm. In the spiritual realm, the devil looks like an angry red dragon.

Its head is similar to the lion’s head. The devil walks like a human being in the spiritual realm. It has two hands similar to the hands of a wild beast. It has two legs similar to the legs of horses. I cannot find the exact word to describe the devil.

His presence explains fear, tick darkness, hatred, and destruction. The devil often hides in bushes to trap his enemies. What I have seen about the devil is that it attacks with all his strength. It doesn’t matter whether you are a child; it fights you with his power if you fall into his trap. I have fought with the devil in the spiritual realm before. The battle was extremely intense! In the book of Corinthians, Apostle Paul writes that he fought with the beast at Ephesus.

If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.

1 Corinthians 15:32 KJV

Several times, I have fought with the devil's agents in the spiritual realm. Most of the battle was intense. In the spiritual battle, I was using large weapons on the enemy. As I write this article, I fight the devil and his minions in the spiritual realm.

The devil and his minions can initiate you into their kingdom if you are carnal. Child of God, spiritual warfare is a mystery. Christ Jesus has indeed defeated the devil. However, you must understand that there are rules of engagement.

Ignorance of spiritual laws makes you a prisoner in the spiritual realm. Let’s be real, haven’t you read in books about people confessing their evil activities to the devil? Maybe you listened to the audio and watched videos of people confessing their witchcraft activities.

These testimonies should alert you that wicked powers are operating on earth and in the spiritual realm. Today, several secret groups are broadcasting their evil deeds in the daylight. Satanism, occultism, sorcery, necromancy, magic, and black and red witchcraft dominate the systems.

Evil is abounding because Satan and his minions control the minds of unbelievers and religious unbelievers. Child of God, spiritual warfare is a necessity. You will take your Christian life seriously when you finish reading this article.

I pray that the Holy Spirit opens your eyes to understanding because several spiritual activities are taking place in your life. Don’t forget that Apostle Paul wrote to the church in Ephesus (including every Christian believer) that they are in spiritual warfare.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Ephesians 6:10-18 KJV

We must put on the whole armor of God to stand against the enemy's manipulation. God expects us to put the whole armor because the devil and his minions use their limited power to cause destruction. Failure to put on the whole armor of God can open the portal for the devil and his minions to attack you in the spiritual realm.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

2 Thessalonians 2:3-13 KJV

Apostle Paul writes to the church that the antichrist will work with the devil's power. He will show signs and wonders. The devil will use the antichrist to deceive many people. Today, people justify evil deeds under the guise of human rights.

People engage in abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, bestiality, fornication, and all forms of evil deeds because the devil has deceived them. Soon, the antichrist will take over the world. When the antichrist takes over the world, the spirit of sin will take over the system.

I have had several visions about the end time. Child of God, prepare for the hard times and persecutions if you miss the rapture. I have given you a few reasons you should engage in spiritual warfare.

Below are seven additional reasons you must engage in spiritual warfare. Whether you like it or not, you will face demonic attacks irrespective of your faith because it is part of the Christian journey.

Seven reasons you are going through spiritual battles as a Christian believer

100 spiritual warfare scriptures

1. Because you are living among wolves.

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

Matthew 10:16 KJV

These are the words of our Savior and Lord Christ Jesus. We are living among wolves. These wolves are symbols of evil forces and people possessed by evil spirits. You are supposed to live like the serpent because that is the best way of survival.

Learning the serpent's wisdom would be best because that is the ultimate way to live with the wolves (perpetrators of affliction, destruction, and confusion). Every enemy has its method of attack and defense.

You can lose the battle if you attack every enemy with one strategy. It would help if you changed the strategy because some enemies are skilled and experienced in warfare. Wolverine enemies cannot withstand the wisdom of serpents and doves.

Don’t be ignorant of the enemy’s devices because he will take advantage of you (see 2 Corinthians 2:11). Christ Jesus commands us to live like the serpent and dove because we live among wolves. Wolves don’t love a peaceful environment. You cannot deny this truth. You either accept the Word of Christ Jesus to walk in freedom or ignore the truth to walk in depression.

2. Because there is a messenger of Satan roaming on earth

And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

2 Corinthians 12:7-8 KJV

Apostle Paul writes that a messenger of Satan was sent to oppress him. The devil sent evil spirits from hell to depress Apostle Paul because of his role in the ministry. Paul prayed to the Lord for intervention, but the evil spirit did not stop abusing him.

Child of God, being a Christian believer does not exempt you from enemy attacks. There will come a time evil spirits will be sent by Satan to attack you. God allows the devil to attack for some reasons.

Like Job, God allowed the devil to attack him but to a certain limit. You may be going through some demonic oppression because God has permitted the devil to attack you. God knows your spiritual, soulish, and physical strength.

He knows you can endure the enemy's attack, so don’t give up on God and the church (see 1 Corinthians 10:13). Going through spiritual attacks does not mean God has forsaken you. The Holy Spirit wants to humble you in that temporal season.

All things will work for your good if you love God. If Apostle Paul were not exempted from the enemy's oppression, you would not be excluded. I have had several encounters of seeing famous gospel ministers in affliction.

I believe the Holy Spirit gives those visions because He wants me to pray for them. Don’t give up on Christ Jesus because of the spiritual attacks; it is a training, test, and blessings season. Check out my series of articles for more profound revelations.

3. The Word of God declares that enemies will gather because of your assignment.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.

Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.

For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

Isaiah 41:10-14 KJV

The Israelites within the above the Holy Scriptures are symbols of Christian believers. God declares that he will contend with those that contend with us. This should alert you that the devil and his agents will rise against you.

The devil and his minions will organize a meeting about you because you are a Christian believer. However, God has promised to contend with those who contend with us. The witchcraft in your family, workplace, and neighborhood will rise against you.

They will meet because of you. You will walk through the valleys of the shadows of death, but the Lord will be with you (see Psalms 23). The Lord will prepare a table in the presence of your enemies. Some enemies will fight you with all their might, but God will deliver you if you call upon him. In Isaiah 54:15, God declares that your enemies will gather, but they will perish.

Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

Isaiah 54:15 KJV

God will allow your enemy to gather, but He will not allow them to dominate you if you call him in prayers. The Lord knows the devil and his minions will oppose you. However, he has promised that he will also oppose those that oppose you. Meditate on these Holy Scriptures.

Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?

But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

Isaiah 49:24-26 KJV

4. Because the Word of God promises us of affliction

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

James 5:13 KJV

Human beings can afflict you. The devil and his minions (demons) can torture you. You can torment yourself willfully or ignorantly. As we can see from the Holy Scriptures, we are to pray in the season of affliction.

Afflictions are part of life. There will come a time in your life the devil and his minions will afflict you because you belong to the kingdom of God. You may feel like giving up on Christ Jesus and the church in that season.

In the season of affliction, you may feel like committing suicide. In that season, you will be tempted to do anything to survive. However, you must understand that affliction is part of the Christian journey. Check out my series of articles for more profound revelations. Also, meditate on these Holy Scriptures for deeper revelations.

And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

2 Corinthians 1:6 KJV

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

2 Corinthians 4:17 KJV

Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone;

And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:

That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.

1 Thessalonians 3:1-3 KJV

Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:

 1 Thessalonians 3:7 KJV

Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

2 Timothy 1:8 KJV

But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

2 Timothy 4:5 KJV

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

1 Peter 5:8-9 KJV

5. The Word of God declares that we must resist the devil.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

James 4:7 KJV

Apostle James writes that we must resist the devil, and he will flee from us. A time will come in your life; the devil will harass you. In that season, you must submit to the leadership of the Holy Spirit and oppose the devil in the spirit.

If you don’t stand against the devil, he will not flee. If you don’t resist the devil, he will torment you. One of the best languages the devil understand is opposition. You have to give to him if you want your freedom. Apostle James writes, “resist the devil, and he will flee.” In other words, if you don’t resist the devil, he will enforce his vision in your life (see John 10:10).

6. God expects you to call upon him because the devil will attack.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:13 KJV

God knows that you will need his help, so he promised you in His Word to call upon him. Apostle Paul would not have written to the Church in Rome if he knew that we would not need the help of God.

Failure to call upon the name of the Lord empowers the devil and his minion to torment you. Failure to call upon the name of the Lord will not activate the hands of God in the season of spiritual attacks.

7. Satan loves hindering Christian believers.

Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.

1 Thessalonians 2:18 KJV

Apostle Paul and other disciples of Christ Jesus planned to visit the church in Thessalonica, but Satan stopped their journey. If Satan could stop Apostle Paul and other Christian believers in their evangelical mission, what prevents him from stopping you?

Satan has several ways of hindering us. He can stop us from attending prayer meetings and bible studies through games, movies, family, and friends. Note the words of Apostle Paul, “Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.”

Satan hindered Paul and other Christian believers several times. Paul and his associates desired to fellowship with the Thessalonica Christian believers, but they couldn’t because the devil limited them.

In the same way, the devil will do his best to limit your walk with the Holy Spirit. Your responsibility is to stop the devil before he stops you (see John 10:10, 1 Peter 5:8-9). Below are seven ways to deal with the devil in the season of affliction.

Seven things to do in the season of constant demonic attacks and afflictions

spiritual warfare prayers

1. Examine yourself.

The first thing to do when you find yourself in constant demonic attacks and afflictions is to check your life. Are you living in sin? The devil and his minions will afflict you if you are living in sin. One thing you must know about the devil is that he attacks through the channel of sin.

Sin gives the devil and his minions the spiritual license to attack you. For more profound revelation about sin, download my free book, Spiritual Keys for life. Also, check your spiritual armor if they are intact. If you don’t put on the whole armor of God, you will be vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy (meditate on Ephesians 6:10-18).

2. Know your authority in Christ Jesus

If you know who you are in Christ Jesus, the devil will find it challenging to attack you. As a Christian believer, you are seated with Christ Jesus in the heavenly places far above principalities, dominions, and power of darkness.

You have power over the power of the enemy (see Luke 10:19), so take responsibility. Meditate on these Holy Scriptures for more profound revelations and get my series of books for deeper revelation.

And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Ephesians 1:19-23 KJV

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 2:6-7 KJV

3. The power of God’s Word

ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 8:32 KJV

Deliverance comes from the Word of God. The more you know God’s Word, the greater your spiritual sword. When the devil tempted Christ Jesus, He used the Word of God. The devil could not defeat Christ Jesus because Christ Jesus used the Word (see Luke 4:1-13).

Study God's Word and speak them to the devil and his minions in the season of affliction and spiritual warfare. When you decree God’s Word with faith, the power within the Word will bring the desired deliverance. When the Word of God occupies your heart, the devil will have no place in you. (Meditate on Jeremiah 23:29, Hebrews 4:12).

4. Enter a season of prayer and Spirit-led fasting

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

James 5:13 KJV

In the season of demonic oppression and affliction, engage prayer and Spirit-led fasting. Spirit-led fasting and Spirit-led prayers (tongues speaking) build tremendous spiritual power and faith. In the season of fasting and prayers, the devil oppressing you will escape.

Your Spirit-led fasting and prayers will release divine mercies and divine missiles. When God releases divine mercies, the Holy Spirit and angels of the LORD will break the legal grounds of the devil and his minions, leading to deliverance.

5. Live in the righteousness of Christ Jesus.

The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

Psalm 34:7 KJV

Holiness, purity of life, and sanctification attract God's blessings, mercies, grace, favor, and protection. As stated in the Holy Scriptures, the angels of God surround people that reverence the Lord.

You don’t have to pray for a long time when you submit to the righteousness of Christ Jesus and live in the Spirit. The devil and his minions will advise themselves when you walk and live in the light of the Word.

6. Connect with anointed vessels

The anointing of the Holy Spirit has the power to set the captives free. Your anointing and mantle will determine your spiritual power (authority). The anointing of the Holy Spirit delivers, breaks the yoke, and brings freedom.

Search for godly anointed vessels and let them lay their hands on you or pray for you (meditate on Luke 4:18 or get my book, Secrets of the Anointing). The Spirit-led prayers of anointed vessels can set you free from certain bondages and demonic attacks (afflictions).

7. Deal with your dreams.

God speaks to us through dreams (see Job 33:14-17). God can reveal the plans of the enemy to you through dreams. Break every bad dream through prayers and decree the manifestation of your good dreams.

Failure to deal with your dreams can open the portal for the enemy to access your life. When you deal with your dreams, you will walk in freedom. The enemy will do his best to limit you, but he cannot stop the blessings of God from coming to pass. You must focus on the Holy Spirit and apply the wisdom keys in this article if you want to walk and live in freedom.
