Please
help! I want to know this Holy Spirit! I want to know the Holy Spirit these
Christian believers keep talking about! What should I do? I need help! These
thoughts were going through Samuel Kwame Gyan as he sat on his bed.
I
must see this, Pastor. Oh no, the Prophet! This gospel minister, too, is he a
pastor or Prophet? Maybe he is a pastor. I think he is a prophet because he has
published numerous visions on his blog.
He
has been saying on his youtube channel that he is Pastor and Prophet. Why doesn’t he choose one? Some
of his prophecies, too, have come to pass! Well, I choose to call him
an Apostle.
I
must see Apostle Duodu Henry Appiahkorang. Is it Prophet Duodu Henry
Appiah-korang or Prophet Duodu Henry Appiahkorang? Anyway, that’s his name. I
must see Pastor Duodu Henry Appiah-korang for more clarification.
I
want to know the Holy Spirit. He has been talking about the Holy Spirit on his social
media groups and youtube channel. At least he has seven books about the Holy Spirit. Oh yea, he has written several books and articles about the
Holy Spirit.
I
think he is the right person to teach me about the Holy Spirit. At least, he
claimed to have had some encounters with the Holy Spirit. He is an ordained minister of God. I
think he is the right person to help me with the Holy Spirit issue because his books and articles are helping people. CASE
CLOSED.
Introduction
Maybe you are struggling
with Samuel Kwame Gyan’s issue. It’s an imaginative story I wrote to
help you decode the doubts of the Holy Spirit. Many people struggle to know the
Holy Spirit because they cannot experience him.
Even those who have
partially experienced the Holy Spirit do not know His complete nature. However,
with little experience with the Holy Spirit and biblical keys, we can learn
some of His ways.
I will share how
the Holy Spirit communicates with us in this article. That is, I will share the
top ten ways the Holy Spirit expresses himself. The Holy Spirit speaks in
several ways. It’s our responsibility to know why, when and how the Holy Spirit
speaks.

As I’m growing in the Spirit, I share some of my experiences about the Holy

The importance of knowing the language of the Holy Spirit
Understanding how
the Holy Spirit speaks helps us walk and live a successful life. Like a car,
it stops when the fuel, gas, or power gets finished. The vehicle stops because
it tells you that the fuel, gas, and power tank are empty.
Forcing the car to
move without fuel, gas, or power can harm it. In some vehicles, it can signal that
your fuel, gas, or power is low. Some cars can caution you when you fail to put
on the seatbelt.
The car's alarm
(artificial intelligence) will not stop until you put on the seatbelt. You can
change your cloth and shoes. If you don’t put on the seatbelt, the alarm in the
car will not stop. You can even return home and take a bath.
If you don’t put on
the seatbelt, the alarm in the car will not stop, irrespective of your new
clothes, shoes and bath. If you knew the robot (artificial intelligence) in the
car made the noise in the car because of the seatbelt, you would not change
your dress and shores or take a bath.
You did not know
the robot's voice in the car, so you changed your dress and shoes. However, if
you knew the robot was disturbing you because of the seatbelt, you would have
placed the seatbelt on yourself.
Many people cannot
connect with God's plans because they don’t know how the Holy Spirit
communicates. Understanding how the Holy Spirit speaks helps you walk in the
perfect will of God. You will escape the traps of the enemy if you know how the
Holy Spirit communicates. You will become a light to others if you know the
ways and thoughts of the Holy Spirit. Below are the top ten ways the Holy
Spirit speaks.

1. The Holy Spirit speaks through the Word of God
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the
Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
And there are three that bear witness in earth, the
spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

The Holy Spirit
will not contradict the Word
of God (the Holy Scriptures).
Reading the Word of God is another way of connecting with the counsels of the
Holy Spirit. As stated in first John chapter five, verses seven to eight, the
Heavenly Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit are one. They agree on one counsel.
Therefore, there is no way the Holy Spirit will speak something that challenges
the Word (the Sword of the Spirit).
The Holy Spirit spoke to me with the face and voice of a gospel minister
By God’s grace, I
have had several encounters where I saw a gospel minister rebuking and pointing
me to the Holy Scriptures. The gospel minister wore overall white cloth. He
stood on a mountain and ordered me to check the book of Revelation.
When I woke up from
bed, I checked the chapter and verse within the Holy Scriptures. It was the
same thing the gospel minister told me as he stood on the Holy Mountain. I
believed the Holy Spirit used his face in the dream to correct me.
Become one with the
Word because it’s one of the best ways the Holy Spirit communicates with us. If
you study the Word of God and allow them to abide in your heart, you will not
struggle to recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit.
To be precise, the Holy
Spirit speaks through the Holy Bible. As
you read the Word, believe that the Holy Spirit is speaking to you
because the Holy Bible is His written voice. For more profound revelation,

2. The Holy Spirit speaks through inspired books
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture
is of any private interpretation.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of
man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Spirit
inspired holy men to write the Holy Scriptures. This means the Holy Scriptures
are not the words of men. They are directly from the Holy Spirit. If the Holy
Spirit could use sanctified men to write the Holy Scriptures, it is possible he
can use men to write books.
Aside from the Holy
Bible, the Holy Spirit can speak to you through inspired books. Reading books
inspired by the Holy Spirit is a direct way of hearing the voice of the Holy
Spirit. The Holy Spirit will tell you what to do as you read the inspired books.
One reason you must
pray before reading books is that the Holy Spirit does not inspire some of them.
Evil spirits inspire some books. Reading such books can contaminate your spirit
and soul. Reading Holy Spirit-inspired books is another way the Holy Spirit
communicates with you.
Build a consistent reading
habit and love Holy Spirit-inspired books. I mean, be a voracious reader of religious
books. Be addicted to inspired and life-transforming books. Become a bookworm. You
will not struggle to connect with the voice of the Holy Spirit.
3. The Holy Spirit speaks through his servants
Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth
his secret unto his servants the prophets.
Amos 3:7

Hearing the
messages (counsels, teachings, and preaching) of godly and anointed gospel
ministers is another way the Holy Spirit communicate with you. The Holy Spirit
reveals his secrets to the prophets serving him in his kingdom.
When a godly
prophet prophesies, the Holy Spirit is speaking. The Holy Spirit knows that you
are immature in the spiritual realm to hear his voice, so he uses the voice of
your spiritual leader (s) to speak to you. Like Samuel and Eli, the Holy Spirit
spoke to Samuel using his spiritual father, Eli.
And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before
Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no
open vision.
And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was
laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not
see;
And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the
LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep;
That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here am
I.
And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for
thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and
lay down.
And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel
arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And
he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again.
Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the
word of the LORD yet revealed unto him.
And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And
he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me.
And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.
Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it
shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant
heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other
times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.
And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a
thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall
tingle.
In that day I will perform against Eli all things
which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an
end.
For I have told him that I will judge his house for
ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile,
and he restrained them not.
And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli,
that the iniquity of Eli's house shall not be purged with sacrifice nor
offering for ever.
And Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the
doors of the house of the LORD. And Samuel feared to shew Eli the vision.

If you read the
above Holy Scriptures, Samuel thought Eli, the high priest, called him.
However, the Holy Spirit was the one calling Samuel. The Holy Spirit spoke like
Eli; that is why Samuel enquired from Eli.
As an experienced
man, Eli realized it was the Holy Spirit speaking to Samuel. When Samuel heeded
the voice of the Holy Spirit, the Lord spoke to him. As shared in the previous
point, the Holy Spirit spoke to me with the face and voice of a gospel minister
in Ghana.
The Holy Spirit can
also speak to you using the voice and face of your spiritual father or any godly
spiritual leader. The Holy Spirit has used several gospel ministers to speak to
me in the spiritual realm.
Some were from Ghana,
Nigeria, the USA, and other parts of the world. The Holy Spirit often use one
particular gospel minister in Ghana to speak to me in the spiritual realm. Some
people have told me they saw me in their dreams.
One said he saw me
in his dream, cautioning him about his Christian life. He said that he could
not remember the complete details of the dream. However, after analyzing his
dream and speech, it was a good dream.
I told him to
embark on fasting and prayers to revive his Christian life. One thing about the
Holy Spirit is that he knows the best way to communicate with us. He will use
your spiritual leader or a godly minister to speak if it suits you.
Apostle Paul had a
similar encounter. The Holy Spirit spoke through Prophet Agabus. Prophet Agabus
warned Apostle Paul that the Jews would persecute him and deliver him to the
Gentiles. It happened as the Prophet prophesied (see Acts chapter twenty-one). One
thing about the Holy Spirit is that he is always speaking.
The secret of the LORD is with them that fear
him; and he will shew them his covenant.

As stated, the
secrets (counsels and wisdom) of the Holy Spirit are with godly people. In
Genesis chapter eighteen, verse seventeen, God affirmed that he could hide nothing
from Abraham.
And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that
thing which I do;
Genesis 18:17

Abraham was a
patriarch, spiritual father, Prophet, and servant of God. The Holy Spirit was
ready to reveal his mind to Abraham. If God could reveal his mind to Abraham,
the Holy Spirit can speak to you through your spiritual leader or any godly
minister of God (meditate on Numbers 12:6).
4. The Holy Spirit communicates through dreams
For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man
perceiveth it not.
In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep
falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their
instruction,
Job 33:14-16

Dreams are one of the
familiar ways the Holy Spirit speaks to us. When you sleep, your soul and
spirit do not rest. At this season, the Holy Spirit gets your full attention.
While asleep, the Holy Spirit opens your spiritual ears.
Your spiritual
eyes, ears, mouth, nose and other organs become active when the body rests. Maybe,
I should share this secret with you. Most visions and prophecies published in
my books, blog, and youtube came through dreams. Do you know the Holy Spirit
spoke to Apostle Peter about Cornelius in a dream? (See Acts chapters ten and
eleven). The Holy Spirit can speak to unbelievers in dreams as well.
The Holy Spirit speaks to Pilate’s wife in a dream
When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife
sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have
suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.
Matthew 27:19

Pilate’s wife
warned her husband not to touch Christ Jesus because the Lord spoke to her
about Christ Jesus. In the case of Abimelech, the Holy Spirit warned him about
Abraham’s wife.
The Holy Spirit warns the king in a dream
And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south
country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.
And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my
sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.
But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and
said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou
hast taken; for she is a man's wife.
Genesis 20:1-3

God (the Holy
Spirit) warned the king of Gerar (Abimelech) not to touch Sarah in a dream. Several
references in the Holy Bible reveal the Holy Spirit talking to people in
dreams. Also, note that the devil and your soul can reveal false things in

5. The Holy Spirit speaks through visions
Visions come in
several ways. Some visions emanate from dreams. That is, we can have a vision
in a dream. We can have an open vision. Thirdly, we can have a soul vision.
Visions in dreams happen when we enter deep into the sleeping realm.
Open visions work
more with our spiritual senses. We can see with our spiritual senses while our
physical senses are at work. Soul visions deal with the mind and emotions. This
vision deals more with images in your mind.
Apostle Peter,
John, Paul and several vessels of God had visions from the Holy Spirit. There
are several references in the Holy Scriptures where people had visions. For
example, the book of revelation.
Apostle John wrote
the revelations by the visions the Holy Spirit and holy angels gave him. However,
you must note that your flesh, soul, and evil spirits can also give visions.

6. The Holy Spirit can speak through angels
Angels play a vital
role in your spiritual life. There are times the Holy Spirit uses angels to
communicate God’s plans. As stated in the previous point, most of Apostle
John’s visions came through angels.
In the old and new
covenants, angels played essential roles in communicating the plans and purpose
of God. For example, the angel Gabriel communicated the birth of Christ Jesus
to Mary and Manoah’s wife.
Angels communicated
God’s plans to Joseph several times in the New Testament. An angel communicated
the birth of John the Baptist to Zechariah. An angel revealed important
information to Daniel.
The Holy Spirit
could have done that by himself. However, the Holy Spirit used angels because they
play specific assignments in God’s kingdom. Angels are in categories. Some can
appear in human form (see Hebrews 13:2, Genesis 19:1-17, Genesis 28:12, Genesis
18:2, Genesis 22:11-18).
Some angels operate
in the heavenly realms. Some work on earth, while others communicate the Holy
Spirit's mind to God's saints. The Holy Spirit can speak audibly to you because
I have that experience, and it’s biblical. However, the Holy Spirit can use an
angel to speak to you because you have an angel. For more profound revelation,

7. The Holy Spirit communicates in an anointed atmosphere
…thou art holy, O thou
that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
Psalm 22:3

Do you know that
the Holy Spirit dwells in an atmosphere filled with anointed and biblical
songs? When an environment consistently plays anointed and biblical songs, the
Holy Spirit manifest.
In that atmosphere,
the Holy Spirit speaks through sanctified and yielded vessels. When you
saturate your dwelling place with worship and praises, the Holy Spirit speaks.
Most often, the voice of the Holy is authoritative.
Have you ever asked
why the prophets in the Holy Bible organized singers to perform before speaking the mind of God? The
prophets knew the power
of spiritual songs, so they did not joke with it. Anytime saints of God
worship and praise the Lord, the Holy Spirit reveals himself.
As stated in Psalms
chapter twenty-two, verse three, God
(the Holy Spirit) dwells in the
music of Israel. In the context of the Holy Scriptures, Israel means children
of God. These are the covenanted vessels of God.
If you want the
Holy Spirit to speak to you, consistently play anointed and biblical songs in
your chambers. Worship and praise God from the deepest part of your heart. The
Holy Spirit will speak to you in that anointed atmosphere.
8. The Holy Spirit can speak through trance
Trance is similar
to visions. I have had several trances by God’s grace. In the season of trance,
we become partially aware of our surroundings. I mean, our spiritual and
physical senses work actively and simultaneously.
In the season of
trance, our spirit and soul dominate the body. We enter a realm of supernatural
visions. At this stage, the Holy Spirit speaks to us. Apostle Peter, Paul and
several vessels fell into a trance.
Visions within
trance are crystal clear from experience. You can identify people and objects
perfectly. Some people call trance near-death experiences. However, you must

9. The Holy Spirit speaks through the inner man
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit,
that we are the children of God:
Romans 8:16

The dwelling place of the Holy Spirit is the spirit of man. The Holy Spirit communicates with us through our spirit (see Proverbs 20:27). This voice comes in three ways.
- Inner witness
- Feelings and
- Discernment (perception)
Sometimes you will
feel fear and uncomfortable when you are about to do evil. It is the Holy
Spirit speaking to your heart. Other times, you have strange feelings in your
soul, not travel, eat, sleep, or do something.
It’s the voice of
the Holy Spirit. Although you will not hear the voice audibly, it’s the Holy
Spirit speaking to you. The devil, too, can speak to your soul. Your
responsibility is to train your spirit and soul to differentiate between the
devil’s and God’s voices. In his letters to the church in Galatia, Apostle Paul
writes that the Spirit of God cries in our hearts.
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit
of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Galatians 4:6

The Holy Spirit
speaks to our hearts. He cries in our hearts. Most often, you experience this voice
when praying and singing in tongues.
That’s the small voice of the Holy Spirit. This voice presses us not to sin or
violate the Holy Scriptures.
The voice of the
Holy Spirit pushes us to pursue the plans of God. This voice causes us to do
things that bring glory to God. For example, this inner voice can speak to your
heart to evangelize, pray, fast, and read the Holy Scriptures.
Other times you can
perceive danger ahead of you. Apostle Paul had the same experience (see Acts
chapter twenty-seven). Paul perceived that the ship taking him and other people
to Rome would enter a danger zone.
However, the people with Paul did not believe him. Paul’s discernment came to pass. However, God saved Paul and the people on the ship. If Paul could discern the voice of the Holy Spirit within his spirit and soul, then the Holy Spirit can speak to us. We can hear this small voice echoing in our hearts. 10. The Holy Spirit can speak through yielded vessels.
The Holy Spirit can
speak through your parents, older adults, children, bosses, age mates and even
animals. Are you surprised I added animals? Haven’t you read God opening the
mouth of Balaam’s donkey in the Holy Bible?
Haven’t you read the
devil speaking through the serpent? God can speak through animals if the devil
could speak through an animal. The devil tries to imitate God. Although the
Holy Spirit rarely uses animals to speak to his children, it can happen that
way if that’s the best channel to get your attention. Animals can speak with
their bodies. However, it’s scarce. If an authority figure, older person, or
friend is full of the Holy Spirit speaks, the Holy Spirit can speak through the
vessel.
The secret of the
LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

It doesn’t matter
whether you are related to the person speaking to you; the Holy Spirit can
speak through someone (meditate on Romans 13:1-3).
