Knowing the Holy Spirit [77 profound revelations about the Spirit of God] – 4
Introduction
Thousands of religions
claim to be the true path to God Almighty (Yahweh). Some have several gods.
Some religious groups perform strange rituals to connect with their gods. Some
people worship trees, animals, stones, objects and dead people.
Most religious groups
worship objects and use magic mirrors to connect with their gods to fill their
emptiness. If people can perform evil rituals to a god they don’t know and
cannot see, what should we do as Christian believers?
It’s time to know the
Holy Spirit. Knowing the Holy Spirit helps you in many ways. You will know
whether you are in the right or evil way. Knowing the Holy Spirit assures you
that you are following the right person.
You must not follow the
Holy Spirit blindly. You cannot follow a god or spirit blindly. Knowing his
Character, temperament, and personality would be best. His character,
temperament, and nature assure you that you are not with a traitor, deceiver, or
murderer.
People can deceive by
their looks, words, and actions. However, people will not easily fool you if
you are one with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of prophecy. He
knows the future.
The Holy Spirit has
several fruits. In this article, I will share with you the nine karpos (fruits)
of the Holy Spirit. There is no way an orange seed will germinate a pawpaw
fruit when planted. The seed determines the fruit.
The fruit will reveal your
seed. The Holy Spirit has several seeds and fruits. Knowing these seeds and
fruits will help you uncover the Holy Spirit. Below are the nine biblical fruits
of the Holy Spirit. Check out my previous article for more profound revelations about the Holy Spirit.
The nine characters of the Holy Spirit
…the fruit of the Spirit [Holy
Spirit] is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance:
against such there is no law.
Galatians
5:22-23 KJV (Emphasis added)
1. The Holy Spirit is the foundation of agape
Agape (pure, unconditional, and divine love) is the first fruit of the Holy Spirit. The
Holy Spirit does not have love. He is the manufacturer, producer, creator, and
source of love. Without the Holy Spirit, love will cease to exist.
We have different kinds
of love. You can read my series of articles on love or get my book (what is love?) for more profound revelation. The Holy Spirit is not a Spirit of
hatred and confusion.
Wherever you see love,
the Holy Spirit is present. As stated, we have different kinds of love. The
love I’m describing is unconditional and divine love. This love empowers you to
pursue God, the Church, and anything that brings glory to the kingdom of God.
Monitor a man who is full
of love. That man is one with the Holy Spirit. Question any man who claims to
know the Holy Spirit, yet that man cannot show agape. When the Holy Spirit is
active in a man, that man shows affection for weak, strong, poor, rich, animals
and other creations of God (except the devil and his minions). The books are free on my blog.
When a man is full of the
Holy Spirit, he builds the Church with all his heart. Because the Holy Spirit
is love, when you become one with Him, He fills you with the seed of love. Any
man that constantly creates division, holds grudges and finds it difficult to
forgive has no fellowship and relationship with the Holy Spirit.
If you know the Holy
Spirit, you will have sympathy. You will love people unconditionally if you are
one with the Holy Spirit. You will be interested in the Church and anything
that brings glory to God because the Holy Spirit will influence you through agape.
The community and people express love (agape) when the Holy Spirit is present. When
the Holy Spirit is absent, war, confusion, jealousy, and evil dominate the
environment and the people.
2. The Holy Spirit is the pillar of chara
One identifying mark of
the Holy Spirit is the virtue of joy (chara). The Holy Spirit makes us
cheerful. Wherever you see and feel joy, the Holy Spirit is present. The Holy
Spirit is calm and cheerful.
Anyone claiming to be one
with the Holy Spirit yet lacking joy, cheerfulness, and calmness does not know
or have the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit enters your life, He fills you
with joy and serenity.
This joy is
unexplainable. Most often, you will feel joyful in your heart. This joy has no
external influence. It comes straight from your heart because of the presence
of the Holy Spirit. In times of confusion, you remain calm and cheerful because
of the presence of the Holy Spirit.
You are expressing chara signals
that the Holy Spirit is in you. Chara makes you glad in all situations. Whiles
the unbelievers complain you will be joyful because of the Holy Spirit. Monitor
a man who is always lonely, depressed, and hopeless. Such a man does not know
the Holy Spirit.
A man that knows the Holy
Spirit will be full of joy. Despite the storms, the man remains calm and joyful
because of the presence of the Holy Spirit. Remember, the Holy Spirit is
present when an environment is full of unexplainable joy.
3. The Holy Spirit is the giver of eirene
The Holy Spirit is not
the author of confusion. He is the creator of eirene (peace). The Holy Spirit
charges an atmosphere with rest. He is the carrier of wealth. This wealth does
not bring pain.
When the Holy Spirit
blesses you, he adds no sorrow. Some people have money. However, they don’t
have peace. They are always in pain. They cry day and night. These people
cannot enjoy “their wealth” because the Holy Spirit is absent in their lives.
When the Holy Spirit is
with you, He surrounds you with prosperity. This prosperity brings peace and
health to your body, soul, and spirit. You enjoy your sleep when the Holy
Spirit is with you.
He makes your environment,
business, and Church conducive for increase. Wherever the Holy Spirit is
present, the place becomes pleasant, peaceful, and prosperous. Like Joseph, his
master became prosperous because of his presence. Joseph became prosperous
because of the presence of the Holy Spirit. The presence of the Holy Spirit
made the house of Potiphar prosperous.
And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was
in the house of his master the Egyptian.
Genesis 39:2 KJV
The Hebrew word for prosper is tsalach.
That
word means profitable. Joseph was prosperous (profitable and fruitful). He
could push forward. Joseph could break out easily. What other servants in Potiphar’s
house found challenging, Joseph did it quickly because the Holy Spirit was with
him.
Sometimes people think
prosperity is all about money. Money is an aspect of prosperity. Prosperity is
more than money. When the Holy Spirit is present, he makes the people and the
environment prosperous.
The people and the place
become profitable because of the Holy Spirit. People produce things easier.
That’s one identifying mark of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit comes with
peace, prosperity, and rest.
4. The Holy Spirit is the seed of makrothumia
One virtue that makes a
sportsman play for a long time is stamina. A footballer with weak stamina often
gets tired, injured, and substituted. In the same way, the Holy Spirit is the
giver of stamina (energy and life).
The Holy Spirit comes
with patience to help us stand the storms of life. He supplies us with the
fortitude to walk through the storms of life. When a man is full of the Holy
Spirit, he has the seed of makrothumia (longsuffering).
Because of the Holy
Spirit, we can bear accusations and persecutions. Like the unbelievers and “some
Christians” who cannot stand persecution and accusations, we (Christian
believers) can stand this negative energy and demonic arrows because of the
Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the
Spirit of patience. When he takes control of a man, he makes him patient in all
circumstances. Whiles the unbelievers are dying for temporal things, the
Christian believer will have the patience to wait for the blessings.
Whiles the unbelievers
are killing each other in quarrels and disputes, we will be enduring and
triumphing over conflicts. We will be living in peace. That’s the seed of the
Holy Spirit. He makes us patient.
The Holy Spirit gives us
the stamina to stand and triumph over darkness. Nobody can stand the storms
(attacks) of the devil without the makrothumia of the Holy Spirit. Makrothumia
gives us the grace to live successfully with wicked people and unbelievers.
This virtue makes us the light
of the world. Monitor people and places with the seed of makrothumia
(longsuffering, patience, and fortitude). They live above the wind of the
enemy. Remember, the Holy Spirit is present when you see makrothumia in people
and places.
5. The Holy Spirit is the root of chrestotes
Wherever the Holy Spirit
is present, you will find chrestotes (gentleness and excellence). The Holy
Spirit makes people morally upright. Any man that is morally upright, gentle,
and kind to people and God’s creation knows the Holy Spirit because it is one
of the virtues of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is not
corrupt. He is kind and gentle. There is no way you will see someone claiming
to be one with the Holy Spirit yet lacking the virtue of gentleness, kindness
and excellence.
The Holy Spirit makes
people and places useful. He refines our character, temperament, and
personality. When a man becomes one with the Holy Spirit, he becomes morally
upright. His sinful nature depreciates whiles his divine nature appreciates.
The Holy Spirit grows the
seed of kindness, gentleness, and excellence in a man when he becomes one with
him. Question anyone claiming to know the Holy Spirit yet lacks moral integrity,
compassion, and gentleness. If the Holy Spirit is truly active in a person and
place, chrestotes dominate.
6. The Holy Spirit is the supplier of agathosune
The Holy Spirit does not
bring people down. He brings people up. The Holy Spirit empowers people to do
great things for God. He does not discourage people from doing the work of God.
The Holy Spirit comes with a force that makes us pursue God.
This force makes us
unstoppable and untouchable. This virtue shields our hearts and builds our love
for God and humanity. The seed of agathosune (goodness) makes us knowledgeable.
We become a light to others because of agathosune.
Our presence makes people
desire God and the Church. When the Holy Spirit takes control of a place, he
makes the people desire the work of God. This virtue builds our inner virtue
and empowers us to work for God tirelessly.
You might not see the
benefits. However, the seed of agathosune pushes us to work with all our hearts.
This virtue makes us persuaded by the truth. The unbelievers will find it
challenging to divert our calling and faith because of agathosune. Anytime you
see places and people with intense energy to work with God and the Church, the
Holy Spirit is present.
7. The Holy Spirit is the producer of pistis
Without faith (pistis), you
cannot walk with God. It is the Holy Spirit that fills people and places with
faith. Monitor a man whose hope and trust are in the Word of God. That man is
full of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit makes us
believe in the birth, ministry, death, and resurrection of Christ Jesus. Wherever
the Holy Spirit is present, Christ Jesus is exalted. An environment that hates
Christ Jesus, the Church, and Christian believers have no dealing with the Holy
Spirit.
Because the Holy Spirit
is absent in such places, the environment becomes enemies to Christ Jesus, the Church,
and Christian believers. However, if the Holy Spirit is present, he makes the
environment desires the Church's growth and kingdom activities.
When the Holy Spirit is
active in a place, kingdom activities such as evangelism, prayers, fasting, and
revivals take place. As far as a man has faith in Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit
is present.
When people exalt the
majesty, salvation and teachings of Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit is active. The
Holy Spirit comes with faith. He assures us of our heavenly inheritance. There
is no way the Holy Spirit will make us lose faith in Christ Jesus and the Word
of God.
If you want to know
whether the Holy Spirit is active, observe the activity, actions, and aspirations
of the people within a community. When Christ Jesus is exalted, the Holy Spirit
is present. When Christ Jesus and the Church are rejected, the Holy Spirit is
far from the people and place. Remember, the Holy Spirit is present wherever
the Word of God rules.
8. The Holy Spirit is the exact representation of praotes
Humility is one
identifying mark of the Holy Spirit. Anyone claiming to know the Holy Spirit
yet living in pride does not know the Holy Spirit. Pride is the identifying mark of the devil. The Holy Spirit comes with the seed of praotes
(meekness).
When an environment is
full of proud people, the Holy Spirit is not there. Proud people have no regard
for the Church and the Word of God. The Holy Spirit reveals himself with
humility.
He is a gentle Spirit.
That’s why the Holy Spirit identifies himself with a dove. Christ Jesus
identifies himself with a lamb, whiles the Heavenly Father identifies with a
lion. The lion is humble.
However, people see them
as proud. Study lions from childhood, and you will realize they are humble. Ask
the Holy Spirit to reveal some mysteries about lions. You will recognize that
they are humble.
The dove and the lamb are
humble. In summary, the trinity is humble. The Holy Spirit does not come
with pride. He comes with humility and gentleness. Humility means dependence on
God and His Word for strength and direction, whiles pride is dependence on self
for strength and direction. Remember, the Holy Spirit speaks authoritatively.
However, his voice is full of humility and love.
9. The Holy Spirit is the seed of egkrateia
The Holy Spirit is the
Spirit of egkrateia (self-control). He does not easily get annoyed when
provoked. This virtue makes the Holy Spirit endure the ignorance, weakness,
wickedness, and evil of people.
If you are one with the
Holy Spirit, you will not quickly get annoyed when people provoke you. I have
many reasons to stop the ministry of God because most of my friends and loved
ones are having fun (rat race).
I am laboring for Christ
Jesus and the Church. People intentionally provoke me. However, the Spirit of
God helps me control myself. People tempt by evil. However, the Holy Spirit
empowers me to control myself.
While the unbelievers
struggle with sin, we (Christian believers) easily triumph over evil because of
egkrateia. Any man professing to know the Holy Spirit yet cannot control
himself has no relationship with the Holy Spirit.
When the Holy Spirit is
active in a place, the people withstand the enemy’s attack. You have power and
authority over sin because of egkrateia. Comportment, chastity, and celibacy rule when the Holy Spirit is present in an environment.
Do
you know the Holy Spirit?
