Knowing the Holy Spirit (77 biblical truths and revelations about the Spirit of God) – 6
Introduction
One thing about the Holy
Spirit is that you cannot outsmart Him. He is omniscient, omnipresent, and
omnipotent. You may outsmart animals, friends, enemies, and loved ones.
However, don’t try it on the Holy Spirit because He knows the end from the
beginning.
The Holy Spirit knows the
secrets of our hearts. He understands our emotions, desires, motives and
actions. People may judge you by your actions. However, the Holy Spirit looks
at the deepest part of our hearts (see Romans 8:27, Jeremiah 17:10, Revelation
2:23, Psalm 44:21).
You cannot fool a man
full of the Holy Spirit. A man full of the Holy Spirit has the spirit of
discernment. He can capture your thoughts and motives. This is one reason you
must not play mind games with the Holy Spirit and people full of the Holy
Spirit.
The Holy Spirit may allow
you to play with him. However, don’t think you have outsmarted the Holy Spirit.
The Word of God is the foundation of the Holy Spirit’s judgement. If you want
to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, freely download my series of books
on my blog and read my previous article (knowing
the Holy Spirit) for more profound revelations.
In this article, I will
unveil five biblical revelations about the Holy Spirit. Do well to share the
link to this article with your loved ones so they can experience the Holy
Spirit. Below are the five undisputable biblical revelations of the Holy
Spirit.
Five biblical and undisputable revelations about the Holy Spirit
1.
The Holy Spirit has the seed of `atsab
I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praises
of the LORD, according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us, and the great
goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according
to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.
For he said, Surely they are my people, children that
will not lie: so he was their Saviour.
In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence
saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and
carried them all the days of old.
But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned
to be their enemy, and he fought against them.
Isaiah
63:7-10 KJV
Do you know that the Holy
Spirit can feel pain? The Holy Spirit can be angry, hurt, displeased, and
grieved. That’s the seed of `atsab.
In
the above holy text, the Israelites rebelled and made the Holy Spirit angry.
Have you ever asked
yourself why you sometimes become angry, sad, hurtful, and displeased? It is
because the Holy Spirit created you (meditate on Genesis 1:26). You have the
seed of the Holy Spirit.
If the Holy Spirit can be
angry, you can also become angry. However, the anger of the Holy Spirit is righteous.
The Holy Spirit pour his wrath on evil activities and unrepentant evil people. This
is one reason we become angry at evil activities and unrepentant evil people.
The seed of the Holy
Spirit expresses itself in our souls when we see things that do not glorify Christ
Jesus. The Holy Spirit worries when we act outside the Word
of God (Holy Scriptures). If you desire to walk and live with the Holy
Spirit, don’t do things that ignite God's wrath. Do not engage in evil
activities because it saddens the Holy Spirit. You will become an enemy of the
Holy Spirit if you keep doing evil.
God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked
every day.
Psalm 7:11 KJV
David states that God (the Holy Spirit) is angry with the wicked daily.
- Are you working wickedly?
- Are you breaking the Word of God?
- Are you walking and living outside the will of God?
If you answered yes, the
Holy Spirit is angry or sad with your lifestyle. Freely download my book, the
mysteries of evil seeds, for more profound revelations. Repent and amend
your ways to tighten your relationship with the Holy Spirit. You will not
struggle to walk
and live with the Holy Spirit if you walk and live in the light of the
Word. Freely download my book, how to become a perfect Christian, for
more profound revelation.
2. The Heavenly Father and Son (Christ Jesus) can take the Holy Spirit from you.
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from
me.
Psalm 51:11 KJV
After David fornicated
with Uriah’s wife Bathsheba, Prophet Nathan confronted David. David recognizing
his wickedness, confessed and repented. In his prayer, David made a profound
statement.
He prayed that God should
not take the Holy Spirit from him. This means the
Trinity can take the Holy Spirit from us when we willfully and
consistently sin. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of holiness.
He cannot live in a corrupted
and defiled place. David knew the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. He
knew he could do nothing without the Holy Spirit, so he prayed for the Holy
Spirit. If you have observed unrepentant sinners, you would observe that they
are hardened in their wickedness.
They justify evil and
wickedness. Unrepentant evil people love sin because God has taken the Holy
Spirit from them. One thing about the Holy Spirit is that he restrains us from
sin. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin.
If the Holy Spirit is
absent in someone’s life, he has no restraint. The unrepentant and wicked
sinner can sin anywhere and anyhow because no
power is helping him to stop the sin (willful wickedness).
His conscience has become
seared with a hot iron. He interprets evil as good and good as evil. Demons have
taken control of him, so he sees nothing wrong with sin. However, if a man is
full of the Holy Spirit, he becomes conscious of sin and the Word of God.
A man full of the Holy
Spirit has no pleasure in sinful activities because of the seed resting in his
heart (see 1 John 3:9). However, a man without the Holy Spirit derives pleasure
in sinful activities.
A man full of the Holy
Spirit recognizes his sin and repents immediately. However, a man without the
Holy Spirit does not recognize his sin. Even if he acknowledges his sin, he
justifies it.
He continues his
wickedness because the Holy Spirit is not in him. If you don’t want the
Heavenly Father and Son (Christ Jesus) to take the Holy Spirit from you, repent
from willful sin and wickedness. Like David, he recognized his sin and prayed
that God should not take the Holy Spirit from him. If you love the Holy Spirit,
repent from that evil act and walk in the light of the Word.
3. The Holy Spirit can be resisted
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist
the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
Acts 7:51 KJV
Stephen, a man full of
the Holy Spirit, declared that we could resist and oppose the Holy Spirit. In
my previous articles, I stated that the Holy Spirit is not just a wind, fire,
or water. The Holy Spirit is a person with a presence.
Just as you can resist
and oppose a friend, enemy, or loved one, you can also resist and oppose the
Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit is a Person with personality. Your wicked
heart can oppose the Holy Spirit.
It is like energy. When
you hold bitterness and unforgiveness, it generates negative energies that
resist and oppose the Holy Spirit. These negative energies invite evil spirits
and repel the Holy Spirit.
People full of jealousy
and wickedness cannot host the Holy Spirit because their atmosphere is not
conducive to the Holy Spirit. A person can be full of hatred, pain, bitterness,
and vengeful spirit to the extent that his presence makes you uncomfortable.
That’s the kind of spirit
unrepentant and wicked people carry. Their presence can sometimes make you
angry as well. If you are not Spirit-filled, their negative energy can drive
the Holy Spirit from you and make you bitter (meditate on Proverbs 22:24-26).
Be mindful of the people
you allow in your chambers because their presence can ignite or resist the Holy
Spirit. Since the Holy Spirit cannot live in an atmosphere of hatred, jealousy,
bitterness, wickedness, and unholy anger, exclude yourself from such places.
Excluding yourself from a hostile environment and wicked people will enhance
your relationship with the Holy Spirit.
4. The Holy Spirit is not a joker
…Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed
together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have
buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
Acts 5:9 KJV
Sapphira thought she could
entice the Holy Spirit, not knowing she was digging her grave. You may tempt or seduce
a man. However, you cannot entice the Holy Spirit. Ananias died because he
tried scrutinizing and tempting the Holy Spirit and God’s servant (Apostle
Peter).
His wife (Sapphira) also tried enticing the
Holy Spirit and Apostle Peter and died prematurely. Child of God, the Holy
Spirit is not a joker. He does not joke with divine things. The Holy Spirit
does not play with the Word.
When you attack the true church
of Christ Jesus, you attack the Holy Spirit. Attacking a genuine gospel
minister and Christian believer is an attack on the Holy Spirit! Tempting and
enticing the church is an attack on the Holy Spirit (meditate on Psalm 105:15).
I hope you know what
happened to Saul (who later became Apostle Paul). Saul was persecuting the
Christian believers and the church, not knowing he was attacking Christ Jesus
(the Holy Spirit).
And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the
disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he
found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them
bound unto Jerusalem.
And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined
round about him a light from heaven:
And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul,
Saul, why persecutest thou me?
And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom
thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
Acts
9:1-5 KJV
The Holy Spirit spared
Saul because he attacked the church and Christian believers out of ignorance.
Secondly, the Holy Spirit knew Saul would become a valuable asset to the church
(see 1 Timothy 1:13).
Avoid speaking evil of
true churches and gospel ministers because it is a direct attack on the Holy
Spirit. Don’t think you can entice or deceive the Holy Spirit and God’s
servants. Doing that willfully can lead to premature death or great punishment
(meditate on Acts 5:1-10 for more profound revelations).
5. The Holy Spirit is the perfect adviser
…the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what
ye ought to say.
Luke 12:12 KJV
There are times the enemy
attacks us unexpectedly. In this season, we might not know what to do. However,
the Holy Spirit comes to help us. As Christ Jesus declares that people will
oppose and report us to higher authorities.
However, Christ Jesus
promised us that the Holy Spirit would give us the wisdom to speak and act wisely
in the season of uncertainty. You might be an introvert; however, the Holy
Spirit will make you an extrovert in that season.
You might be an
extrovert. However, the Holy Spirit will make you an introvert in that season. You
may not know what to preach and teach. However, the Holy Spirit will speak
through you. He will give the words.
If you have studied some
people, you will realize that they are full of wisdom. These people speak words
of wisdom. It’s the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can
make us speak like older men, kings, princes, queens, and princes because He is
the perfect adviser and counselor.
…take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you
up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be
brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no
thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but
whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye
that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
Mark 13:9-11 KJV
Christ Jesus told his
disciples (including Christian believers) that the unbelievers and wicked
people would take us to the law courts. However, we shouldn’t worry because the
Holy Spirit will tell us what to say.
Evil people will take us
to spiritual courts. However, the
blood of Christ Jesus will speak for us when we enforce the weapon. The
enemy will take us to the
graveyard, marine, and strange altars.
However, the Holy Spirit
will direct our prayers so we can counter their accusations. Have you ever felt
like praying a specific prayer in your chambers? That’s the leading of the Holy
Spirit. Sometimes the Holy Spirit can tell you to keep quiet because enemies surround
you.
Other times, the Holy
Spirit can tell you to declare specific promises in the Holy Scriptures and
pray in tongues. The Holy Spirit does that because the enemy has taken you to the
spiritual court. It would be best if you addressed the council and court of
heaven.
When the enemy takes you
to the supreme court, the Holy Spirit will direct your prayers and petitions
(meditate on Romans 8:26-27). Remember, the Holy Spirit is the perfect adviser. Seek wisdom from the Holy Spirit because He is the fountain of wisdom. For more profound revelations, freely download my series of books on my blog.
