Introduction

From my experience, the Holy Spirit is real. The Holy Spirit reveals Himself to us in several ways. However, we cannot connect with his voice and presence because we allow the flesh and distractions of the enemy to limit us.

Kindly check out my previous article and series of books for a more profound revelation about the Holy Spirit. I will unveil seven ways to know the Holy Spirit in this article. I have had several encounters with the Holy Spirit by God's grace.

The Holy Spirit can speak to us through our souls. Other times He speaks to us through godly people. If your inner man is stronger than your outward man, you will not struggle to connect with the Holy Spirit.

Since the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of purity, He often communicates with our spirit. This communication features in our soul and body. For example, you can cry when praying in the Spirit (tongues) or interceding for someone from your heart.

Sometimes, you will be short of words while interceding. In that season, the Holy Spirit has taken over the prayers (see Romans 8:26-27). I remember praying for a gospel minister in tongues.

As I kept praying in tongues, I began to cry. My heart was heavy! The Holy Spirit opened the eyes of my spirit. I saw his mansion in heaven. Angels were moving all over the gospel minister’s heavenly mansion.

One thing about the Holy Spirit is that He is disciplined. His presence commands leadership. That’s one of my experiences with the Holy Spirit. You feel his power, orderliness, and love whenever the Holy Spirit reveals himself. Get in touch as I share some revelations about the Holy Spirit.

Seven credible truths about the Holy Spirit

how to know the Holy Spirit, Seven credible truths about the Holy Spirit, understanding the Holy Spirit, 7 ways to know the Holy Spirit, 77 personalities of the Holy Spirit, Jesus

1. The Holy Spirit can fill a man before conception

There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.

And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.

And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's office before God in the order of his course,

According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.

And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.

And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.

And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.

But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.

For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

Luke 1:1-15 KJV

Zacharias and his wife have been serving the Lord for many years. They were faithful, yet they had no child. One day angel Gabriel appeared to Zacharias. Angel Gabriel declared that his wife, Elisabeth, would conceive a child.

Angel Gabriel declared that the Holy Spirit would fill the child (John the Baptist) in his mother’s womb. John the Baptist was not yet born. However, the Holy Spirit filled him in his mother’s womb!

That’s a mystery! This means the Holy Spirit can fill an unborn child. People who have been aborting unborn babies are committing murder. The fact that the child in the mother’s womb has not fully developed into a human does not mean it is just a blood clot (meditate on Jeremiah 1:5).

The Holy Spirit can empower a child in his mother’s womb! Unborn children can be full of power, wisdom, and grace in their mother’s womb because of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can decide to walk and live with unborn babies if the child has a special assignment.

The Holy Spirit can teach the unborn baby mysteries. If the Holy Spirit can supply divine virtues to an unborn child (John), how much more adults? Don’t despise children because they can be full of the Holy Spirit. A child full of the Holy Spirit can give you wisdom. The Holy Spirit can empower anyone if he can fill John the Baptist in his mother’s womb with power.

2. The Holy Spirit rests upon sanctified vessels

And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

Luke 2:25-26 KJV

Simeon, a devoted and righteous Jew, could host the Holy Spirit because of his righteousness and faithfulness to God and the church. We read that the Holy Spirit was with Simeon because He did what was right in the sight of God.

The Holy Spirit revealed to Simeon that he would not see death until he had seen our Savior and Lord Christ Jesus. This means the Holy Spirit can tell you when you will die. Secondly, the Holy Spirit can show you the future.

I have explained that in my previous articles. Thirdly, the Holy Spirit walks and lives with people who have set themselves apart for God and the church. The Holy Spirit stood with Simeon because he exhibited the virtue of holiness, righteousness, purity of life, and faithfulness.

If you desire to walk and live with the Holy Spirit, be faithful, honest, sincere, and righteous in the sight of God. Be faithful in the things of God. The Holy Spirit will draw closer to you when you exhibit these virtues.

3. The Holy Spirit has the seed of episkiazo

And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.

And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Luke 1:26-35 KJV

When angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, he told Mary that the Holy Spirit would episkiazo (overshadow) her. After the Holy Spirit overshadowed her, Christ Jesus will live in her womb. Naturally, a woman cannot be pregnant with a child without a male seed (semen).

Although some doctors can implant a man’s semen into a woman without sexual intercourse, the natural way for a woman to be pregnant with a child is through sexual intercourse with a mature man.

In the process of intercourse, the man releases sperm into the woman’s ovaries. After the man releases the semen into the woman, God turns that sperm (egg) in the woman’s fallopian tube (womb) into a human within ten months.

However, Mary’s case was different. Mary was a virgin. She did not have sexual intercourse with a mature man. Neither did someone implant a man’s semen into her? The Holy Spirit overshadowed her.

When the Holy Spirit overshadowed her, the seed of Christ Jesus lived. Some people may think the Holy Spirit had sexual intercourse with the virgin Mary. However, that’s not true. The Holy Spirit united with the virgin Mary's spirit, soul, and body.

When the Holy Spirit breathed himself into Mary, Christ Jesus lived in Mary. This means the breath of the Holy Spirit is the seed of Christ Jesus. Wherever you find the Holy Spirit, Christ Jesus is present.

Whatever the Holy Spirit can do, Christ Jesus can do. The Holy Spirit has the same virtues as Christ Jesus because they are one. The Holy Spirit and Christ Jesus are inseparable. When you see Christ Jesus, you have seen the Holy Spirit.

However, each person has separate work. I recommend reading my article, the mysteries of the Trinity for more profound revelations. Every work Christ Jesus did when he walked on earth as a man came from the Holy Spirit.

Christ Jesus did nothing without the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit exalts Christ Jesus. Any work that does not glorify Christ Jesus and the kingdom of God has nothing to do with the Holy Spirit. If you want to know the Holy Spirit, study the personality and works of Christ Jesus recorded in the Holy Bible.

4. The Holy Spirit is the seed of parakletos and aletheia

I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

John 14:16-17 KJV

The Holy Spirit is an advocator, helper, and comforter (parakletos). His presence explains truth (aletheia). The Holy Spirit abides with us and lives in us. If you are born again, the Holy Spirit makes your heart his home.

However, the unbelievers cannot receive the Holy Spirit because they are blind (see 2 Corinthians 4:4). Anyone claiming to know the Holy Spirit yet living in wickedness and speaking lies does not know Him.

One way to know a man full of the Holy Spirit is that he speaks the truth. The Holy Spirit does not tell lies. He cannot and will not tell lies (see Numbers 23:19, Titus 1:2, Psalm 89:35, Luke 21:33).

You cannot bribe the Holy Spirit to tell lies. He stands by the Word (the Holy Bible). The Holy Spirit will not comfort you when you live outside the path of God. However, He will comfort you when you align with the purpose of God. Remember, the Holy Spirit cannot tell lies. He will command you to speak the truth in every stage of life.

5. The Holy Spirit can lead you to a specific location

the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.

And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,

Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.

Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

Acts 8:26-29 KJV

The angel of the Lord first spoke to Philip to go to Gaza. When he obeyed the angel's voice, he encountered a man of authority (an African king). There, the Holy Spirit said unto Philip to draw closer to the African leader.

First, the angel of the Lord directed Philip. Second, the Holy Spirit told Philip what to do. As stated in the Holy Bible, Philip preached the gospel to the Ethiopian (African) king. This means Africans knew the gospel before the Europeans and Americans preached the gospel in Africa.

Ancient Egypt (Africans) was the superpower in the time of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Africans knew the true God before the Europeans and Americans preached the gospel in Africa. My focus is on the Holy Spirit, so let’s return to the topic.

The Holy Spirit told Philip to join the chariot of the Ethiopian Eunuch. This man was a man of authority. He became a Christian believer under the ministry of Apostle Philip. Apostle Philip did evangelism with the leadership of angels and the Holy Spirit.

Apostle Philip had an angel who told him what to do because he was a dedicated evangelist. However, the Holy Spirit played an important role in the ministry of Apostle Philip. The Holy Spirit could tell Evangelist Philip where to preach. This means the Holy Spirit can direct us to specific places and people. Apostle Peter had similar encounters.

The Holy Spirit and Apostle Peter

While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.

Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.

Acts 10:19-20 KJV

The Holy Spirit told Apostle Peter to go with the three men who came to see him. Initially, Apostle Peter did not want to mingle with the Gentiles. However, the Holy Spirit commanded him to enter the territory of Cornelius with the three men because Cornelius and his family were ready for the gospel.

The Holy Spirit can tell us to enter specific territories for kingdom work because the people are ready for the gospel. I have had several dreams and visions. The Holy Spirit tells me to enter particular locations to preach the gospel.

The Holy Spirit can tell you to travel to specific places to evangelize because you are the right person for the people. The Holy Spirit knows the level of your spiritual maturity and anointing. The Holy Spirit knows you are the right person He can use to deliver specific people, so he will command you, most often in dreams, to enter those territories to preach the gospel and deliver the people from the enemy's bondage. Are you obeying the voice of the Holy Spirit?

6. The Holy Spirit can make us invisible

And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

Acts 8:39-40 KJV

When the Ethiopian leader accepted the gospel, Apostle Philip baptized him. After the water baptism, the Holy Spirit snatched Philip away. The Holy Spirit took Philip from Gaza and placed him in Azotus!

This is not magic because it happened to Christ Jesus several times (see John 16:15-21). The Holy Spirit can blind our enemies. We will pass by our enemies. However, they will not see us because the Holy Spirit temporarily hid us from them.

The Holy Spirit can take us to territories without using airplanes, cars, and other traveling equipment. We could travel from continent to continent without machines if sin did not dominate the race of humankind.

Suppose Adam and Eve dominated sin and Satan. In that case, we could travel from Ghana to any part of the world or continent to another without using cars, airplanes, ships, and trains. However, it is possible if you are one with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can speed up our works if we follow his voice.

7. The Holy Spirit can distance us from specific people and places

Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,

After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.

 Acts 16:6-7 KJV

The Holy Spirit prevented Apostle Paul and Timothy from preaching the gospel in Asia because of the impending danger. Sometimes the Holy Spirit can stop you from spreading the gospel in specific locations because of immaturity.

You might think it is the devil telling you not to do the work of God in certain places. However, the Holy Spirit is the one commanding you not to preach the gospel in that place. The Holy Spirit knows that doing the work of God in specific locations will not produce results.

Secondly, the Holy Spirit does not want you to waste time and energy. Even Christ Jesus did not walk openly in certain territories when he walked on earth as a man (see John 11:54). The Holy Spirit can give you a strong warning not to preach the gospel to certain people because they are under the judgment of God.

The Holy Spirit can tell you to avoid certain churches, businesses, and associations. Other times, the Holy Spirit can command you not to pray for specific people because they are under the judgment of God.

If the Holy Spirit forbade Apostle Paul and Timothy not to preach in Asia and specific locations, He could tell you not to do the kingdom work in some places or do something for specific people. Freely download my series of books on my blog for more profound revelations about the Holy Spirit.
