how to make God use you

3. Desire for the Holy Scriptures

Introduction

While listening to this song, the Holy Spirit inspired me to write this article. Have you asked yourself why some people live in joy while others live in pain? It’s a question I will tackle in my upcoming articles and books.

I want to share some wisdom keys to help you grow in the Lord. Life gives us what we work for. God showed you mercy and favor if you are fortunate enough to get free things. Some people enjoy wealth because of their family background.

Some, too, enjoy prosperity because they apply knowledge. In the same way, some people live in pain and penury because of their family background and erroneous mindset. We serve a righteous God. If you follow the principles of God enshrined in the Holy Bible, He will fulfill His promise (meditate on Jeremiah 1:11-12, Ezekiel 12:25,28).

The purity of the rain

The rain (water) from the skies is pure and clean. It is our container that defiles or maintains the purity of the rain. Analyze yourself. Are you living with a clean or corrupt container? The rain is not the problem.

The problem is the container (the vessel). If the rain from the skies falls in a dirty dust bin (garbage), the rain will change its state. If the rain falls in a clean dustbin, it will affect the rain. What is the state of your dustbin? Is it clean or dirty?

Some people desire to work for God. However, the Holy Spirit cannot use them. One thing you must know about the Holy Spirit is that He earnestly needs our hearts. We don’t only work for God. We work with God (the Holy Spirit). The Holy Spirit wants our hearts.

And he (the Holy Spirit) that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Romans 8:27 KJV (Emphasis added)

I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Jeremiah 17:10 KJV

My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.

Proverbs 23:26 KJV

The Holy Spirit wants to be sure of our hearts. When God called Abram (later changed to Abraham), He told Abram to walk with him with a perfect heart. Our heart is the focal point. The Holy Spirit needs our heart.

  • What is going on in your soul?
  • What is your motive for doing God’s work?
  • Are you working in God’s kingdom because of what you can get?
  • What are your desires?
  • What are your plans?
  • What are your goals?

Before the Holy Spirit pours the anointing, you must surrender your heart to Him. You need the mindset of the Holy Spirit to work in the vineyard. Analyze the water coming from the mountains.

They are clear. If you analyze moving waters, you will see that they are clean. The Holy Spirit doesn't want to pour His anointing (spiritual gifts) into a defiled vessel. Doing that will bring calamity.

The Holy Spirit doesn’t want you to destroy his children. He wants to be sure of you. Keep reading because I will share some things you must kill to enable the Holy Spirit to pour the anointing on you.

The seed must die

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

John 12:24 KJV

Christ Jesus stated that unless a seed falls to the ground and dies, it abides alone. You are the seed. Die if you want the Holy Spirit to use you. You must kill yourself. Did I state that you must kill yourself?

Get me right. I am not saying commit suicide! That’s evil! Committing suicide can lead to the lake of fire! Killing yourself, in the context of this article, means you must die to yourself. As stated, I will share some things that must die before the Holy Spirit can use you.

Analyze seeds. When you plant a natural seed in fertile soil, it does not grow immediately. The seed dies in the fertile soil. After the seed dies, the earth and the animals in the soil grow the “dead” seed.

The earth and the animals in the soil symbolize the Holy Spirit and the Holy Bible. Allow the Word of God and the Holy Spirit to kill you. When they kill you, you will become great. Some seeds take weeks, months, and years to germinate.

That is how the Holy Spirit works in us and with us. The Holy Spirit kills us before using us. The killing of the Holy Spirit is unique. The Holy Spirit allows us to pass through certain things to kill (build) us.

Like Christ Jesus, He learned obedience through suffering (see Hebrews 5:8). This does not mean that Christ Jesus was disobedient. Christ Jesus had to learn the ways of men because of his humanity.

I have suffered many times. By God’s grace, I know how suffering works. I have suffered hunger, thirst, rejection, and hostility several times. With my experience, I can boldly state that suffering has built me psychologically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

I have learned to be prayerful, obedient, temperate, faithful, considerate, merciful, independent, and creative in the storms. That is how the Holy Spirit trains us. The Holy Spirit kills us softly. Please note that the killing of the Holy Spirit differs from the killing of human beings and the devil.

The Holy Spirit kills us out of love. The Holy Spirit kills us to build us. However, the devil and wicked human beings kill out of wickedness. Remember the words of Christ Jesus in John chapter twelve verse twenty-four, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” Do not die foolishly. Die on fertile ground. When you die on fertile soil, the earth will renew your strength.

The Holy Spirit wants to purge us

…in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

2 Timothy 2:20-21 KJV

I believe you will not appoint an incompetent person to care for your business, children, and precious assets. The person must pass several tests and possess recognized certificates to manage your business.

For instance, you will not allow a dietician to operate your heart. You will need a heart surgeon to do that. In the same way, the Holy Spirit wants qualified vessels. The Holy Spirit wants us to purge ourselves.

Working in banks, hospitals, and reputable places does not mean you are qualified to work in the Kingdom of God. You must get the pass mark of the Holy Spirit to work in the Kingdom of God. You must purge yourself from certain things and attitudes to work in the Kingdom of God.

Keep reading because I will share some things you must purge yourself from to enable the Holy Spirit to use you to the highest. You cannot reach some heights in ministry unless you purge yourself. Apostle Paul stated that he kept his body under subjection.

…I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

 1 Corinthians 9:27 KJV

  • Are you ready to keep your body under subjection?
  • Are you ready to “kill” yourself?
  • Are you ready to purge yourself so the Holy Spirit can use you fully?

Don't remain under the low calling. Climb greater ladders and mountains in the spiritual realm! Climb to the high calling of the Holy Spirit! Keep reading. I will share some things you must purge yourself from to make the Holy Spirit release supernatural gifts for greater impact.

Conformity to the Kingdom system

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Romans 12:1-2 KJV

Apostle Paul stated that we must present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable unto God. He further said that we must not conform to the system of this world. However, we must renew our mind.

To be a Kingdom laborer, you must not conform to the corrupt systems of this world because this world lives in darkness. This is not legality or religiosity. We (Christians) are children of light. Our bodies are temples to the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit needs our mind and body. A corrupt mind cannot work in the Kingdom of God. A defiled body cannot work in the Kingdom of God. We must present our body and soul as holy so that the Holy Spirit can have His way with us. You can be in the low calling with a dishonored body and mind. However, if you want to climb to the higher mountain, kill yourself.

Not all things edify.

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

1 Corinthians 10:23 KJV

We are at liberty to do whatever we feel like doing. However, if those things do not glorify Christ Jesus, we must desist from such acts. As Paul wrote to the Church in Corinth, all things are lawful but not all edifying.

The fact that we are under grace does not mean we are at liberty to do everything. The grace of God does not permit us to continue in willful sin. However, the grace of God empowers us to pursue righteousness (meditate on Romans 6:12-23, Titus 2:11-12).

A discussion with a retired pastor

I remember discussing this with a friend in New York in the United States of America. This man was a pastor in a local church. However, the leadership of the Church made laws for pastors not to drink alcohol.

The man said he has been in the ministry for over twelve years. However, the Church leadership's restriction on pastors did not go well with him. The man said he drank an alcoholic beverage at certain seasons.

He stated that he was no longer a pastor in that Church. He does his own business. While interacting with this man, I felt the problem of alcohol was one of the main reasons why he gave up pastoral work.

You may have your reasons for drinking alcohol, smoking herbs, and doing certain things. However, have you thought about the baby Christians? What will Church members think if they see you drinking alcohol and smoking drugs?

To you, it might be lawful to drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, and do anything. However, how do alcohol intake and those behaviors affect the brethren? What does your heart tell you? What does the Holy Bible say about the situation? Think about certain businesses you indulge in.

  • Does it glorify Christ Jesus?
  • Have you read and seen the end of drunkards and smokers?

Almost every drunkard and smoker I know lives in pain, depression, and poverty. Ask yourself, is my attitude and business glorifying Christ Jesus and the Church? If you want the Holy Spirit to use you, repent from certain behaviors. Meditate on this Holy Scripture for more profound revelations.

All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

1 Corinthians 6:12 KJV

Without wasting much time, let me share some of the things you must kill to make the Holy Spirit use you to the fullest.

Kill yourself now

the power of humility

1. Pride

God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

James 4:6 KJV

Pride is an invisible killer. Kill it before it kills you. Satan is the father of proud people. If you want the Holy Spirit to use you fully, humble yourself. The Holy Spirit does not pour an anointing on proud people.

He pours the anointing on broken vessels. The Holy Spirit anointed Lucifer to glorify the Heavenly Father and Christ Jesus. However, Lucifer became proud because of his beauty and power, and the holy angels drove him out of Heaven.

The Holy Spirit doesn't want to use you because of your pride. If you are a fan of my books and articles, you will observe that I have been stating that the Holy Spirit does not use anyone just like that.

Before the Holy Spirit uses a vessel, He does his due diligence. The Holy Spirit tries the person several times before anointing him. Apostle Paul went through pain before becoming a giant in God's Kingdom (see 1 Corinthians 4:11, 2 Corinthians 11:27).

You are too proud. You think nobody can control you. You don’t want to submit to anyone. You think you are the god of yourself. You think you are the wisest person in the world. Your pride has become your curse.

Humble yourself. The curse will depart. Demons will keep flowing with you in your pride. They will project fear, depression, anger, pain, confusion, and darkness into your life as far as pride is on your spiritual garment.

Humble yourself, and the holy angels of God will release you. Humble yourself, and the Holy Spirit will use you. I have had several encounters in the spiritual realm where I saw some ministers of God telling me to humble myself.

By God’s grace, I have encountered a well-known minister of God in Ghana anointing me with anointing oil. It has happened several times in the spiritual realm. I have seen myself with several anointed ministers in great places.

We have met in mountains and great auditoriums in the spiritual realm. Maybe I am humbled, and that is why the Holy Spirit uses the images of these anointed vessels to anoint and teach me the secrets of the ministry.

By God’s grace, I have encountered well-known ministers of God and leaders in Ghana, Nigeria, the USA, and other parts of the world in the spiritual realm. Keep reading. I will show you how to humble yourself. Humility is one of the currencies of the spiritual realm.

Use it to attract the Holy Spirit and holy spiritual forces. I encourage you to download and read my book, 77 Ways to Experience the Spiritual Realm and Spiritual Forces, for more profound revelations. The book is free on my blog and youtube channel.

2. Desire for fame

Another reason the Holy Spirit does not want to use you is because of a corrupt motive. You desire fame with all your heart. Kill yourself (kill the desire for fame). I have been in the prison of fame several times.

The desire for fame is normal to the natural vessel. However, as you grow in the Lord, the Holy Spirit begins to convict you. When I started ministry, I wanted to be seen. I wanted to be popular. I desired to be with famous ministers of God.

I wanted my name, pictures, and videos everywhere! However, as I walked close to the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit alerted me of the wrong motive (desire for fame). Kill the desire for fame. The Holy Spirit will take you higher. If you kill the desire to be seen by people, the Holy Spirit will advertise you. Meditate on these Holy Scriptures for more profound revelations.

3. Lust for money

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

1 Timothy 6:10 KJV

Money is a great asset. It’s one of the world’s currencies. Without money, we cannot do many things. However, money comes in many ways. There are several ways of acquiring money. You have to use the legal and ethical way.

Apostle Paul stated in First Timothy chapter six verse ten that the love of money is the root of all evil. Getting money is not evil. However, the lust for money makes us evil. The lust for money has caused some people to be in strange places (satanic houses and occult groups).

I have shared some of my experiences with these occultic people in some of my books. A friend took me to several occultic men. We were looking for money. I encourage you to download and read my books for more profound revelations.

Some people have become slaves to the devil because they lust for money. Some people are in the grave because they lust for money. Some people are in mental hospitals because they lust for money.

Some people are struggling with strange diseases because of the lust for money. Some people don't have peace and joy because they lust for money. Money isn't evil. However, the lust for money makes us do evil things.

If your motive to enter the ministry of God is to make money, then count yourself out of the Holy Spirit’s anointing. The Holy Spirit is interested in the souls of people. The Holy Spirit needs more people in Heaven.

He wants us to preach Christ Jesus to the world. The Holy Spirit wants the world to see Christ Jesus in us. The Holy Spirit anoints us to save people from satanic bonds and ignorance. The Holy Spirit does not anoint us to drain people.

He anoints us to rain and reign with his children. Suspect anyone who focuses only on money, claiming to be a minister of God. Most often, such people are not genuine. True ministers of God emphasize holiness, salvation, righteousness, faith, Heaven, hell, and critical doctrines in the Holy Bible.

Remember, money is not evil. Money becomes evil when we lust after it. Do not enter the ministry of God if your motive is to make money. The Holy Spirit will not anoint you if that is your motive.

The devil and his minions will anoint you if your motive is to make money in the Kingdom of God. Don’t enter the ministry because you want money, cars, airplanes, yachts, mansions, women, and the things of this world.

Be concerned about the Kingdom of God and its principles (meditate on Matthew 6:33). Enter the ministry to win souls for Christ Jesus. When Christ Jesus sees your sincere heart, He will visit you.

Remember Abraham? God tried the heart of Abraham with Isaac. When Abraham passed the test, God prospered him. Do you love the sheep and lambs from your heart? Are you entering the ministry of God for financial gain or spiritual gain? Meditate on these Holy Scriptures for more profound revelations.

…seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 6:33 KJV

4. The invisible sins

Do you know that bitterness, hatred, unforgiveness, unholy anger, and jealousy can limit your call to the ministry? You might not be aware of these invisible sins. However, failure to deal with these rags will push you away from the Holy Spirit.

Living in bitterness, hatred, unforgiveness, jealousy, and unholy anger magnetizes evil spirits and wicked people. As we all know, the Holy Spirit cannot share you with demons. Get rid of the filthy garment. The Holy Spirit will use you to the highest! Meditate on these Holy Scriptures for more profound revelations.

…in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work

2 Timothy 2:20-21 KJV

5. Carnality

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Galatians 5:16-17 KJV

Kill the corrupt desires of the flesh. The Holy Spirit will use you to the fullest. As Paul states, the lust of the flesh fights the desires of the Holy Spirit. Lustful desires such as masturbation, sexual immorality, gossip, gluttony, and slander oppose the works of the Holy Spirit.

I encourage you to download and read my book, How to Walk and Live in the Spirit, for more profound revelations. If you are carnal, you will condemn the leadership of the Holy Spirit. The things of the Spirit sometimes do not agree with our natural senses. This is one reason you must kill the corrupt fleshly, and soulish desires to enable the Holy Spirit to have his way in your life.

Seven Keys to Making the Holy Spirit Use You

how to make God use you

1. Build a strong relationship with the Holy Spirit

I will not write much about this point. However, I encourage you to download and read my series of books on the Holy Spirit. You can also watch my videos on the Holy Spirit for more profound revelations.

One of the ways to build a strong relationship with the Holy Spirit is to soak up spiritual, biblical, and anointed Christian songs. I encourage you to download and read my book, The Mysteries and Power of Spiritual Songs. Also, download and read my book, How to Worship God in Spirit and Truth, for more profound revelations. The books are free on my blog and YouTube channel.

2. Build a consistent fasting and prayer life

One of the best ways to humble yourself is fasting and praying (meditate on Psalms 35:13). Fasting and prayers build our spiritual muscles. Praying in the Spirit is a great way to commune with the Holy Spirit (meditate on Romans 8:26-27, Jude 1:20, and 1 Corinthians 14:4).

I encourage you to download and read my book, The Language of the Spirit World, for more profound revelations about praying in tongues. As you pray in tongues, you open the portal for the Holy Spirit to have his way in your life.

The more you fast and pray, the more the Holy Spirit gets time to build His seeds in you. Fasting and prayers kill the corrupt desires of the flesh and soul faster. When the corrupt desires of the flesh and soul become weak, the Holy Spirit will take charge of your life.

3. Desire for the Holy Scriptures

Another way to kill yourself is to have time for the Holy Bible. When you hide the Word of God in your soul and spirit, the Holy Spirit will help you dominate sin. David stated in Psalms 119:11, Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”

The Word of God (the Holy Bible) can destroy the enemy's seeds (meditate on Hebrews 4:12, Jeremiah 23:29). When you become one with the Word of God, you will not struggle to connect with the Holy Spirit.

4. Associate with godly people who love the Holy Spirit.

The people you connect with have a significant impact on your life. When you associate with people who love the Holy Spirit from their hearts, you create a godly soul tie with them. This is one reason the Holy Bible states in Proverbs chapter twenty-seven verse number seven, Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”

  • Who is your friend?
  • Who do you share your ideas with?
  • Who influences you?
  • Where do you get inspiration from?

Choose godly and wise people who love the Holy Spirit from the heart. They will solidify your love for the Holy Spirit. Connect with godly videos and audio. You will not struggle to connect with the Holy Spirit.

5. Create gaps with unrepentant people

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 KJV

The Holy Spirit is jealous. He cannot share you with unrepentant, rebellious, and demon-possessed people. When you associate with wicked people who are not ready to repent, you distance yourself from the Holy Spirit.

One thing about unbelievers is that they resist the Holy Spirit (meditate on Acts 7:51). The actions and desires of unbelievers and carnal people oppose the Holy Spirit. Equally yoking with them will create an ungodly soul tie.

This is one reason you must not equally yoke with people who hate Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Bible, and the Church. You can preach the gospel to unbelievers. However, do not indulge in their abominable things.

Apply wisdom when you are with unbelievers. The best wisdom key is to create gaps with unrepentant and rebellious people. Doing that will limit their evil influence on your life, making you Spirit-conscious (meditate on 1 Corinthians 15:33).

6. Give all to Christ Jesus

Dedicate your precious time, energy, and resources to building the Kingdom of God. When you dedicate your time, resources, and energy to building the Kingdom of God, the Holy Spirit will be interested in you.

It’s a Kingdom key I’m sharing with you. Be interested in soul-winning (evangelism). Follow up on the people (souls) who gave their lives to Christ Jesus. If you cannot reach them because of distance, occasionally call and encourage them.

I encourage you to download and read my free book, Forty Effective Evangelism Strategies, for more profound revelations. You can also download and read my book, A Soul is a Soul, for more wisdom keys.

Intercede for the souls you have won for Christ Jesus from your heart. At University, I evangelized like a crazy student (minister). I preached in lecture halls, hostels, and apartments. In the evening (sometimes midnight), I intercede for the souls.

As I write this article, I still preach and teach the gospel. The Holy Spirit will draw you closer when He sees your zealous and sincere heart. When you work in His Kingdom with all your heart, the Holy Spirit will invest great gifts in you. Meditate on these Holy Scriptures for more profound revelations.

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

James 4:8 KJV

The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

Psalms 145:18-19 KJV

7. Fellowship with the Trinity in your chambers

This is one of my greatest secrets. I love to fellowship with the Heavenly Father, Christ Jesus, and the Holy Spirit in my chambers. In my chambers, I glorify, worship, and honor the Lord from my heart.

I pour my heart into the Holy Spirit in my chambers. I believe this is one of the reasons the Holy Spirit keeps pouring His anointing on me. Learn to walk with the Holy Spirit with a sincere heart.

Do not engage in conscious sin because it gives the devil and his minions the legal ground to manipulate you. Have time for the Holy Spirit. Spend time with Christ Jesus. Present your case to the Heavenly Father in your chambers.

Talk to the Trinity as if you were talking to your loved ones. When you follow these master keys, the Holy Spirit will kill you. I mean, the Holy Spirit will eliminate anything that does not glorify Him from your life.

When people see you, they will see Christ Jesus, the Heavenly Father, and the Holy Spirit. Are you ready to kill yourself? Kill yourself before the devil, and his minions kill you. You can connect with this song for more inspiration.
