Holy War

Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:

Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

2 Thessalonians 1:1-6 KJV

If you read from the above Holy Scriptures, you will realize that God desires our peace. We serve the Just God who desires our victory, joy, and blessings. Some people serve a god that cannot speak.

These people perform daily rituals to an unseen god who cannot fight for them. Some even have to defend their god. What a tragedy! However, we (Christian believers) serve the true God. As a token of love, God has promised to fight our enemies. Let’s read verse six of first Thessalonians chapter one for a more profound revelation.

Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

2 Thessalonians 1:6 KJV

Apostle Paul writes that it is a righteous thing for God to trouble those who trouble us. Sometimes, I marvel when some Christians only visualize God as a loving Father. It’s true that God is a loving Father.

However, there is another side of God. God is a warrior! We serve the Lion of the tribe of Judah. A lion will not allow a prey to kill its babies when he is around. Observe animals. You will see that they jealously protect their children from enemies. God is ready to fight those who fight us! Maybe I should state the Holy Scripture again for a better clarification.

Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

2 Thessalonians 1:6 KJV

God is ready to recompense tribulation to those that trouble us. You have kept quiet for a long time. You are too gentle and innocent for the enemy. Some enemies don’t care about gentleness and innocence.

All they know is attack! With such enemies, we must act like lions. We must turn to the Lion of the Tribe of Judah to fight for us. Call on God in times of persecution. Some persecutions come outside the will of God.

Some enemies enjoy inflicting pain. You must not surrender to such afflictions. You must activate the vengeance of God. Do you know the number of people who have died prematurely because they did not activate the lion?

Some Christians live in bad conditions because they are too gentle on the enemy. God expects us to call on Him. God is ready to fight for us. You have to call on Him. When you call on God to fight wicked and unrepentant enemies, He will fight them.

There are holy and unholy wars. You must unleash holy anger (war) on certain enemies because they don’t understand peace. When you pray that God should trouble those who trouble you, He will trouble them.

As stated, some persecution comes outside the will of God. Failure to counter persecutions outside the will of God can lead to calamities. Stop acting like a baby. Let the enemy know that you serve the God of war.

God is a Lamb and dove. However, He is also a lion! Know when to act like a lamb, dove, or lion. Some enemies submit when you act like a lamb. Some enemies submit when you act like a dove. Some enemies submit when you act like a lion.

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

Matthew 10:16 KJV

  • Are you acting like a sheep when you are supposed to act like a lion?
  • Are you acting like a lion when you are supposed to act like a dove?
  • Are you acting like a dove when you are supposed to act like a lion?

The wolves will not spare you when you act like a sheep. The wolves will submit when you activate the lion. Apply knowledge in warfare!

Christ Jesus prepares us for war.

And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.

Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Luke 22:35-36 KJV

If you read the above Holy Scriptures, you might think Christ Jesus is commanding us to use physical swords to fight. However, it’s a deep wisdom key. The physical battle has its season and stage.

I encourage you to read the previous articles related to this article for a more profound revelation on warfare. If you study Luke chapter twenty-two, verses thirty-five to thirty-six, Christ Jesus revealed that we must have a warrior mentality.

The sword Christ Jesus revealed symbolizes a spiritual weapon. I will write more on the Holy Scriptures in my upcoming book. Let’s conclude that the sword Christ Jesus described in Luke chapter twenty-two, verses thirty-five to thirty-six, is a spiritual sword. Let’s read this Holy Scripture for a more profound revelation

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Ephesians 6:17 KJV

We must be battle-ready in spirit and soul because that is how Christian soldiers must act. We are supposed to be full of God’s Word. The word of God is a sword. This sword can destroy every enemy!

We must be ready to sacrifice everything to acquire the word of God because the word of God is unbreakable. The greatest weapon in the entire universe is the word of God!

  • Do you have your armor?
  • Do you have a warfare mentality?
  • Is your sword sharper?

Vengeance belongs to God

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Romans 12:19 KJV

God knows the best punishment for every enemy that stands in our way. Let God fight some battles for you because God knows how to pay unrepentant and wicked enemies. God knows how to deal with certain enemies who hide in sheep's clothing. You have to present the case in the courts of Heaven. The God of vengeance will vindicate you when the Holy Trinity settles the case.

O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

Psalms 94:1 KJV

Let God avenge specific enemies because He is the undefeated warrior. I encourage you to download and read my books on spiritual warfare, especially 77 Strategic Models of Prayer, How to Live and Deal with Enemies, and The Prophetic Sword, for a more profound revelation. The books are free on my blog and youtube channel.

God is a master fighter

Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.

Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.

Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.

Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.

Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.

Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them.

For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul.

Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.

Psalms 35:1-8 KJV

David knew God. He knew that God could fight those who fought against him. God can stop those who have decided to stop you. God can kill those who have decided to kill you. God can harm those who have decided to hurt you!

I hope you read from the Holy Scriptures (see Psalms 35). There are a lot of references in the Holy Scriptures that indicate that God is ready to fight and destroy our enemies. You can command the angels of God to chase enemies out of your life according to the Holy Scriptures (see Psalms 35).

You can command the angels of God to persecute your enemies. You can command destruction on unrepentant and unbending wicked enemies who have sworn to kill you. Do not keep silent and allow the enemy to dominate you and those connected to you.

Open your mouth wide and declare the divine missiles enshrined in the Holy Scriptures. I encourage you to download and read my book, The Prophetic Sword, for a more profound revelation.

The book is free on my blog and youtube channel. Also, read the previous articles related to this article for a more profound revelation on warfare. Meditate on these Holy Scriptures for a more profound revelation.

Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake.

Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their God? let him be known among the heathen in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed.

Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die;

And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord.

Psalms 79:9-12 KJV

Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

Psalms 94:16-23 KJV

Unveiling the mind of God

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.

And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.

And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.

Acts 9:1-9 KJV

Saul thought he was fighting and destroying the Christian believers. He did not know that he was fighting Christ Jesus. On his way to persecute the Christians, Saul encountered Christ Jesus. Christ Jesus declared to Saul in a vision that he was persecuting Him.

Saul became blind for three days and three nights. He went through pain because of the wickedness he unleashed on the Christians. God forgave Saul because he persecuted the Christians in ignorance.

Secondly, Christ Jesus had mercy on Saul because he repented. Thirdly, Christ Jesus saw a light in Saul. Christ Jesus knew Saul would become a great asset to the Church. Out of mercy, Saul received deliverance.

It was this Saul who did mighty works in the Church. Saul (who later became Apostle Paul) wrote a large number of the Holy Scriptures. Saul (Apostle Paul) planted Churches and trained several ministers after his conversion.

We must understand that whatever we do to others, we do it to God Almighty (Christ Jesus). Some people might think they are destroying you. However, they are fighting God Almighty! This is one reason you must be careful of how you treat others.

Touching the servants and prophets of God attracts divine punishment (see Psalms 89:20-23, Zechariah 2:8, Isaiah 41:10-12;49:24-26). Do you know that Apostle Paul suffered much in the ministry?

One reason Apostle Paul suffered in the ministry is because of how he persecuted the Christian believers. Do not touch God’s vessels if you don’t want the angels to attack you and those connected to you.

The act of God

And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.

And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.

And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

Acts 12:21-23 KJV

Do you know that we serve a jealous God who cannot stand evil? God’s jealousy is holy. This is what happened when Herod decided to take the glory of God. The angel of the Lord stroked Herod to death, and worms fed on him.

That’s terrible! Imagine someone just died, and worms began to feed on him. Some people must die like Herod! The angel of the Lord must strike them down because they want to become your God.

These people want you to serve them as if they are the God of your life. I believe in stewardship and serving. However, no one must take the place of God. When some people decide to abuse you as if you are nothing, activate the vengeance of God.

Let the angels of the Lord work. When people act as if they are the God over your life, they must receive the sword of the Lord! Like Herod, he did not give glory to God. He acted like God Almighty.

Herod spoke like he was God Almighty and received instant judgment. Do not keep silent when people decide to take God’s glory. Do not be silent when people make you worship them like God. These are enemies in disguise! They must receive the sword of the Lord!

The Lord is ready to fight.

Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?

But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

Isaiah 49:24-26 KJV

This is a prophecy. God is ready to contend with those who contend with us. God is ready to feed those who want to feed on you with their own flesh. The witches, warlocks, wizards, sorcerers, and satanic agents who have decided to feed on you will feed on themselves!

You must decree the promises of God in Isaiah chapter forty-nine, verses twenty-four to twenty-six. When you decree that God should contend with those who want to contend with you, He will do it because He has promised it in the word of God. Keeping your mouth shut will empower the drinkers of blood and eaters of flesh to feast on you. What are you doing? Decree the promises of God and watch God fight the battle!

Violence is acceptable in God’s kingdom.

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

Matthew 11:12 KJV

Do you know that war broke out in Heaven? Archangel Michael and his warriors fought the devil and his minions (see Revelation 12:7-9). If Heaven can allow war to take place, then we must embrace war in certain seasons of our lives.

There are times we must fight holy battles to maintain peace because that is the only way out. Waging holy warfare is a necessity under the grace dispensation. Christ Jesus used holy anger to drive away greedy and evil people in the temple because that was the best way to maintain sanity in the house of God.

And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,

And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Matthew 21:12-13 KJV

Stop being gentle when you are supposed to act like a warrior. There is a time for gentility and battle. Acting gentle in the season of war makes the battle easy for the enemy. Imagine Archangel Michael and his angels pampering Satan for their disobedience.

The devil would have caused more harm! If Christ Jesus acted gently on the greedy people in the temple, they would not have stopped their wickedness. We must put the devil and his minions in their place!

Failure to put the devil and his angels in their place will ignite destruction, depression, and darkness. Some people will not repent until you show them the way. It’s wisdom to know when to disengage and engage the enemy. Fight with wisdom. Fight more on your knees because that is where victory begins.

God gives and takes

See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

Deuteronomy 32:39 KJV

The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

1 Samuel 2:6 KJV

God kills and gives life. We serve the God that brings destruction to the wicked and joy to the righteous. We serve the God that punishes and delivers. God created you in His image and likeness.

You have what it takes to destroy wickedness and bring light to the world. Activate the power of God with the light to experience freedom.
