Take My Heart and Let It Be (Creating the Pathway for the Holy Spirit)
Knowing the Holy Spirit
One
thing that separates us from other religious groups is our daily and fruitful fellowship
with the Holy Spirit. Some people ask how I can worship a God I cannot see.
Well, it all comes down to the heart.
Connecting
with the Holy Spirit is not an emotional gimmick. If you know the Holy Spirit,
you will understand His ways. Connecting with the Holy Spirit is one of the foundational
keys to spiritual growth.
This
is one reason I have sacrificed my time, energy, and resources to write this
article. I want you to know the systems that open the door for the Holy Spirit
to access your life. The Holy Spirit is omnipresent, meaning He is everywhere.
However,
you cannot experience the Holy Spirit if you don’t know His ways. For instance,
you can stay with your father or husband in the same house. However, you may
not know your father. Your father might be a generous giver.
However,
you will never know that your father is a generous giver. In public, friends
and coworkers know your father to be a philanthropist. However, in the home,
you don’t see your father as a philanthropist.
The
reason why you don’t know that your father or husband is a philanthropist is that
you don’t know what activates his philanthropic virtue. The more you get close
to your father, the more you will begin to know that your father is a generous
giver.
It
is just that you don’t know how to activate his giving nature. The fact that
you live with your father does not mean you know everything about Him. You only
know some aspects about your father.
Friends
and coworkers know how to activate the giving virtue of your father. However,
you don’t know how to do it. That is how some people deal with the Holy Spirit.
Some people only know the Holy Spirit as the power of God.
The
only time they call on the Holy Spirit is when they want anointing for miracles
(power). They don’t know the heart of the Holy Spirit. Most Christians don’t
know how to unlock the heart of the Holy Spirit.
They
only take from the Holy Spirit. They don’t allow the Holy Spirit to take from
them. In other words, they don’t know how to pave the way for the Holy Spirit
to work in their lives. The good news is that I am about to unveil the gateways
to the Holy Spirit.
By
the time you finish reading and applying the wisdom keys (principles) in this
article, the Holy Spirit will become your best friend. You will know how to
unlock the mysteries of the Kingdom because the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of
revelation.
If
you know how to pave the way for the Holy Spirit, He will do great things with
you and in you. I encourage you to download and read my series of books on the Holy Spirit for a more profound revelation. The books are free on my
blog.
The seals of the Heart
Our
heart speaks a lot about our character, temperament, and personality. The Holy Bible
even states that our heart is the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. In
Christianity, our heart comprises our desires, emotions, and beliefs.
Our
heart can be a channel of blessing or a curse, depending on how we utilize it. The
rise and downfall of destinies are as a result of our heart. Solomon, Samson, and
King Saul fell because they turned their heart away from God. In Proverbs
chapter twenty-eight, verse twenty-six, Solomon made a profound statement.
He that trusteth in his own
heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
Proverbs 28:26 KJV
I
wonder why some people trust in their hearts. Putting your trust in your heart
is another
level of pride. Do you know the
number of people who have fallen because of pride? Putting all your trust in
yourself makes you vulnerable because God created us to depend on Him.
We
are too weak to defend ourselves. Try visiting the hospital. You will see how
hopeless life is. Do you remember the day you got sick and couldn’t eat, walk, or
sleep? Do you remember the mosquito that gave you malaria?
What
about the high fever? How did you feel? I believe you felt hopeless in that
season. The intense malaria and high fever made you depressed and hopeless. You
had a strange philosophy about humankind and the world in that season.
You
might have concluded that life was vain. You did everything in your power to
get strong because you were vulnerable and hopeless at that season. As I write
this article, some people have decided to give up. They have been sick for many
days, months, and years, so they want to die.
They
believe that death will release them from the pain. However, death has rejected
them. The enemy can use your pride as a channel to inflict pain. The Holy Bible
states that you are a fool if you put your trust in yourself (see Proverbs 28:26).
Know the difference between confidence and pride because you might mistake
pride for confidence.
The seed of pride and humility
Some
people put all their trust in their money, assets, educational certificates,
and connections. They think these temporal things will sustain them. It takes
the mercies of God to keep people who trust in themselves.
Putting
all your trust in yourself limits the Holy Spirit in your life. Like an empty
bottle that needs water, the head cover can block the water from entering the
bottle. You are the bottle. The head cover is pride.
The
water is the Holy Spirit. Until you deal with the head cover, the water cannot
enter the bottle. That is how pride (absolute self-trust) works. Apostle Paul
stated that he could do all things through Christ Jesus, who strengthens him (see
Philippians 4:13).
Paul
did not depend on his strength. Instead, he relied on the Lord. Because he rested
in the grace of God, the Holy Spirit used him mightily. One reason most women
are single is because they only look at their physical (outward) appearance (beauty).
They think no man matches their beauty. Anytime they look in the mirror, they
see themselves as superhumans.
They
underrate and abuse every man that comes their way. These women do not know
that beauty is vain and that their beauty is for a season. Some people have allowed
pride to hinder their relationship with the Holy Spirit.
You
cannot tell what is in your heart until the opportunity comes. Some people believe
that they are not greedy. However, when an opportunity comes for them to exhibit
their honesty, they show greediness.
Some
people think they are the holiest of all. However, when an opportunity comes
for them to reveal the nature of the Holy Spirit, they fail. Do not become a
fool because of pride. Pride distances you from the Holy Spirit and draws you
closer to the devil.
Pride
creates a long bridge between you and the Holy Spirit. Like a magnet, when the
north pole of a magnet encounters another magnet with a north pole, they repel.
That is how pride and the Holy Spirit work.
Pride
repels the Holy Spirit. It takes humility to attract the Holy Spirit. Do not
put much trust in yourself lest you fall. Do not put all your trust in your
assets, connections, money, and business because they will draw you away from
the Holy Spirit (meditate on Matthew 13:22).
Search the heart
Search me, O God, and know my
heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any
wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalm 139:23-24
David
prayed that God should examine his heart. He did not trust in himself because
he knew wickedness could hide in his heart. David was a man after God’s heart,
meaning God loved him dearly.
David
loved the Lord with his heart. However, he didn’t trust in himself. You might
not know what is inside of you until the opportunity comes. One reason God has
not answered your prayers is because He knows that you cannot control what you are
asking.
Do
you think God will give you something that will destroy you? A loving father
will not give something that will hurt his child. God will not answer a prayer that
will destroy his child. He knows you much more than you know yourself.
God
knows the secrets, motives, and deep intentions of our hearts. We cannot
deceive God because He knows the end from the beginning. God knows the motives
for our prayer request. He knows that we often pray out of jealousy.
Sometimes, we pray to prove a point to some people. God will not answer such prayers. Pray like David, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
- Do you know the wickedness in your heart?
- Are you sure you can handle that prayer request?
- Are you sure you will not give up on Christianity when you get your heart desires?
- Are you sure you will not dump your partner when God gives you your heart's desire?
- Are you sure you will not backslide when God answers your prayer?
- Are you sure you will not forsake the Holy Spirit when God answers your prayer?
A
dark and wicked heart hinders the flow of the Holy Spirit. Pray like David so
that the Holy Spirit can draw closer to you. Until the Holy Spirit sees the
innocence and integrity of your heart, He will not reveal the secret seals.
The darkness of the heart
For out of the heart proceed
evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness,
blasphemies:
These are the things
which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
Matthew 15:19-20
Christ
Jesus stated that our heart generates evil thoughts, murder, fornication, false
witness, and blasphemies. I wonder why some people always blame the devil for
their wickedness. I encourage you to download and read my book, Take
Responsibility, for a more profound revelation.
If
your heart is full of evil thoughts, blasphemies, adultery, fornication, lies,
unforgiveness, bitterness, ungodly anger, revenge, and filthiness, the Holy
Spirit cannot work in you. These evil energies draw you away from the Holy
Spirit.
These
evil virtues will make you attractive to evil spirits and unattractive to the
Holy Spirit and the angels of God. Have you asked yourself why Christ Jesus
constantly rebuked the religious people, especially the Pharisees, Sadducees,
and Sanhedrin?
These
people were professing religion. However, they did not have any fellowship and
relationship with God (the Holy Spirit). The religious people only knew about church
activities. That is how some Christian believers are.
They
come to Church to show their new clothes, shoes, hair, and perfume. I encourage
you to download and read my books, The Forty Types of Christians and Who
is a Christian Believer, for a more profound revelation.
Most
churches have become fashion centers. Fornication, adultery, rival groups, and
conflicts dominate most Churches because of wicked hearts. The atmosphere is
full of wickedness because of the evil heart.
The
love of God is absent in most churches. Pastors and leaders of the Church fight
each other. Sexual immorality rules the Church leadership. If you observe these
activities and deeds, you will realize that the hearts of the Church leaders
and members are far away from the Holy Spirit.
Religion
without a circumcised heart breeds legality. If the Church leaders and members
do not have sanctified hearts, conflict and all manner of evil will dominate
the atmosphere. This is one reason the religious people falsely accused Christ
Jesus and empowered the Romans to kill Christ Jesus.
They
did that because of their hardened and unrepentant heart. If the heart is uncircumcised,
it exhibits false Christianity. This is one reason we must work on our hearts.
You can be in the Church for many years and not enjoy the blessings of God
because of your hardened heart.
Sadly,
many people do not even know the Holy Spirit. They do “great works” in the name
of Christ Jesus. However, the Holy Spirit does not know them. Most Christians
only read the Holy Scriptures to preach.
However,
they have nothing to do with the Holy Spirit. Such people’s heart is far from
the Holy Spirit. Haven’t you heard of Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Church
leaders, and professing Christians duping people? Some even engage in
fraudulent activities in the name of God. Some use the name of Christ Jesus to
steal from innocent Church members. It’s a problem of the heart.
The deception of the heart
The heart is deceitful
above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
I the LORD search the heart, I
try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and
according to the fruit of his doings.
Jeremiah
17:9-10 KJV
Ignorance
and pride can make you independent of God. Like Adam and Eve, when they ate
from the Tree of Knowledge good and evil, they became independent of God. You don’t
know what is in your heart until the Holy Spirit reveals the dark truth.
I
thought I had a good heart until the Holy Spirit revealed it. It was around 2020
when the Holy Spirit revealed the secrets of my heart. After the vision, I
prayed for the assistance of the Holy Spirit.
By
God’s grace, the Holy Spirit delivers me daily. In my dream, I often see the
Lord delivering me. As I grow in the Spirit, I receive deliverance from the Lord.
I believe the Holy Spirit is molding me for the final assignment. Sometimes, I
marvel when I see young ministers of the gospel talking about mature and experienced
ministers of God.
Some
talk about the extensive ministry, thousand members, large auditoriums, and
assets of gospel ministers. These young and upcoming ministers do not know that
these mature and experienced ministers of God have passed through a lot to
reach that level.
Some
have passed through the fire and storms to reach that level. God will not raise
a minister of the gospel until He sees the motives of his heart. Although some
ministers of the gospel backslide when the Holy Spirit lifts them, the Holy
Spirit works on the heart of the ministers before upgrading them in the Spirit.
You
cannot reach a specific level in the ministry if the Holy Spirit has not worked
on your heart. Your heart can deceive. Secondly, the Holy Bible states that the
heart is desperately wicked (See Jeremiah 17:9).
Who
knew David could kill one of his best warriors and take his wife? You don’t know
what is in your heart. Who knew Solomon would marry over nine hundred (900)
women? Let the Holy Spirit search you and work on your heart. If you cannot
take care of five Church members, do you think the Holy Spirit will bring more
members to you?
If
you cannot manage the money given to you, do you think you can manage a larger
amount? The Holy Spirit gives according to your level (meditate on Matthew
25:14-15). The Holy Spirit invests more when your heart is purged and enlarged.
When
the Holy Spirit sees that your heart is pure, He reveals more of Himself to
you. The Holy Spirit wants to see what is inside of you. He will not trust you
until your heart qualifies. Your heart is the doorway. Your heart is the
carrier. Your heart is the focal point. Meditate on these Holy Scriptures for a
better understanding.
…for
the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the
thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him,
he will cast thee off for ever.
1 Chronicles 28:9 KJV
Shall
not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
Psalm 44:21KJV
I
the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to
his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Jeremiah 17:10 KJV
…I
am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of
you according to your works.
Revelation 2:23 KJV
…man
looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
1 Samuel 16:7 KJV
I
hope you have understood the systems of the Holy Spirit. This is one aspect of
the Kingdom. Your heart is a gateway to upliftment. Men look at the outward
appearance. However, the Holy Spirit looks at the heart.
Men
can approve of you, whereas the Holy Spirit has disapproved of you. It is
better to be approved by the Holy Spirit and be disapproved by men because the
Holy Spirit is the manufacturer of the blessings.
When
the Holy Spirit endorses you, no man can bring you down. It doesn’t matter the
enemies that stand in your way. If Christ Jesus stands by your side, no one can
stop you! Men can lift you to a certain height. When men lift you, it’s just a
matter of time. You will be exposed.
The
people who lift you can bring you down. This is one reason you must seek the
approval of God. For more profound revelation about the help of God and the
help of man, I encourage you to download and read my book, The Mysteries of
Azar.
If
your heart is not prepared for the assignment, your blessings will take long to
manifest. You can have the call of God. However, your dark heart can limit the
call of God. Work on your heart if you want to experience the blessings of the Holy
Spirit.
Keep
reading because I will share with you the seven master keys that activate the
fruitful heart. Your heart is the gate. It can close or open your blessings. Your
heart can upgrade or downgrade you. Do you know that God destroyed an entire
race because of an evil heart?
And it came to pass, when men
began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
That the sons of God saw the
daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all
which they chose.
And the LORD said, My spirit
shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his
days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
There were giants in the
earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the
daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became
mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
And GOD saw that the
wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every
imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
And it repented the LORD that
he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
Genesis
6:1-6 KJV
I
hope you read the above Holy Scriptures. God saw the heart of humankind grow
wickedly daily. He knew the only way to deal with the wicked hearts of men was to
destroy them. If a man has a wicked and unrepentant heart, there is nothing you
can do to stop him.
It
takes the sovereignty of God to intervene. When a man decides in his heart to work
wickedness, nothing stops him. Either you break him, or he breaks you. This is
one reason you must work on your heart. The Holy Spirit cannot use you in a
higher realm until He deals with your heart. You will remain under the low
calling if your heart is not purged.
Change the heart
Create
in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Psalms 51:10 KJV
After
David slept with Uriah’s wife (Bathsheba), Prophet Nathan confronted David and
revealed his wickedness. David fasted and prayed for deliverance. In David’s
prayers, he declared that God should create in him a clean heart and renew a
right spirit within him.
In
the new covenant, God has promised to take away our stony heart (see Ezekiel 11:19-20,
Jeremiah 32:39, Ezekiel 36:26). To receive the new heart, you must repent and
surrender your life to Christ Jesus. However, there are some things you must do
to activate the heart of the Holy Spirit. This is one reason you must keep
reading.
The sacrifices of God are
a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Psalms
51:17 KJV
The
Holy Spirit is ready to build with you. However, He wants a humble, broken, and
serving heart. The Holy Spirit will never ignore a man who has a broken and
contrite heart. You cannot activate the fruits of the Holy Spirit without a
broken and contrite heart. Do you have a contrite heart?
Before
I share the keys to activate a broken and contrite heart, let me give you seven
signs to know whether you have a broken and contrite heart. Knowing these
truths will help you examine yourself. Kindly share the link to this article to save a life.
Seven signs of a broken and contrite heart
1. Empathy and Compassion
If
you observe the ministry of Christ Jesus, you will see that He had compassion
for the lost. Christ Jesus could sympathize with people going through pain. One
sign that you have a broken and contrite heart is that you often show
compassion for the weak, lost, and people seeking help.
Broken
vessels do not hide their feelings. They don’t fake love. Broken people identify
with people who are in pain and joy. They are ready to downgrade themselves to sympathize
and identify with people.
People
with broken and contrite hearts are not afraid to identify with the poor, rich,
weak, and neglected. Do you feel the pain of the sick, depressed, oppressed,
and lost soul? Do you desire to help them with whatever you have? That’s a sign
of a broken and contrite heart. This is the basic level. Keep reading. There is
more to that!
2. Humility
Another
virtue that indicates that you have a broken and contrite heart is that you are
ready to serve others irrespective of status and circumstance. Humble people
are meek. They are gentle in their dealings.
Vessels
with broken hearts don’t discriminate. They respect irrespective of the person’s
financial, social, and physical background. Humble people do not do things to
show off. They don’t do things to get the approval of men.
People
with broken and contrite hearts embark on a project because it’s an assignment.
Humility is seen in their character, words, actions, and association. Broken
vessels do not look down on weak people. Broken vessels are ready to serve wherever
they find themselves. It takes people with a broken and contrite heart to walk
and live in the humility of the mind, soul, and spirit.
3. Exhibition of the Holy
Spirit’s fruits
People
with broken and contrite hearts show unconditional love wherever they are.
Their love is real and has no strings attached. They go far by protecting
animals, water bodies, trees, and creation with whatever they have because of their
brokenness. Broken people can stand persecution and affliction with joy and
peace. Wherever you find people with broken hearts, you feel peaceful and joyful
(meditate on Galatians 5:22-23).
4. Desire for souls
People
with broken and contrite hearts have a strong desire to win souls for Christ Jesus.
They are ready to serve the Church with all their heart, talent, and resources.
Vessels with broken and contrite hearts are ready to sacrifice their comfort
zone and enter hostile territories to win souls for Christ Jesus. Broken people
can sell their precious assets to save souls for Christ Jesus. It doesn’t matter
the cost; a broken person is ready to sacrifice his best to make crusades and revival
take place.
5. Quick to repent
People
with broken and contrite hearts are quick to acknowledge their sins. After realizing
their sin, they repent. Like David, he quickly repented when he saw that he had
deviated from the path of God.
Unlike
unbroken people, they don’t acknowledge their sins. They even hide their sin.
However, broken people show remorse and repent from sin. They are ready to
receive rebuke and correction from authorities. People with broken and contrite
hearts submit to godly laws enshrined in an organization.
6. Desperate desire to
intercede
Broken
people can fast and pray for long days, months, and sometimes years for others.
They are ready to sacrifice their energy to pray for the salvation of souls. Broken
people can spend days, months, and years praying for the revival of God.
Broken
vessels are more concerned about others than their lives. They want to see people
come to God, so they dedicate most of their time to fasting and praying for
nations, organizations, and authority figures.
7. Desire for the Holy Spirit
Vessels
with a broken and contrite heart desperately desire the Holy Spirit. They can
dedicate their precious time to worship and praise God in their chambers. They
love to commune with the Holy Spirit.
Broken vessels are full of Kingdom mysteries. Broken vessels know the Holy Spirit. They understand the heart of God. Broken people often encounter Christ Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Broken people usually get visitations from the Holy Spirit and angels of God. Broken vessels can express the heart of the Holy Spirit in a special way. Do you have a broken and contrite heart? It’s time to share the seven keys that unlock a broken and contrite heart. Kindly share the link to this article to save a life.
Seven Keys to Activate a Broken and Contrite Heart
1. Become one with the
Holy Spirit
I
will not write much about this point. I encourage you to download and read my series of books on the Holy Spirit for more profound revelation. The books are free on my blog.
Constantly fellowship with the Holy Spirit through spiritual songs to build a broken
and contrite heart. Spiritual songs have a great impact on the heart.
I encourage you to download and read my books, The Mysteries and Power of Spiritual Songs and How to Worship God in Spirit and Truth, for more profound revelation. Connect with these anointed songs for more impartation.

2. Mingle with children
Build
a strong relationship with little children because they can teach you a lot
about brokenness. The more you befriend children, the Holy Spirit begins to
work on your heart. Become one with children. You will experience a divine
touch.
3. Personalize the Holy Scriptures
Anytime
you study the Holy Bible, act as if the Holy Spirit is speaking to you. Some people
only read the Word of God to preach and teach. Others, too, read the Holy Bible
to write. However, when you personalize the Holy Scriptures, the Holy Spirit
begins to work on your heart.
For
instance, when you are reading a portion of the Holy Scriptures, and it tells
you not to fornicate, take it as if the Holy Spirit is commanding you not to
fornicate. Examine yourself with the word of God anytime you study it.
Meditate
on the Holy Bible and let the Spirit within transform you. Don’t just read the
Holy Scriptures to grow in knowledge. Do not read the Holy Bible to debate. Read
the Holy Scriptures as if you are reading the mind, wisdom, and instructions of
God. Take the word of God as if your life rests on it. Become one with the word
of God. The Holy Spirit will purge your heart (meditate on Hebrews 4:12, Romans
12:1-2, 1 Peter 2:2).
4. Mingle with broken people
vessels
The
people you associate with have a significant impact on your life. Associate
with broken people. The more you associate with people who have a contrite
heart, the more godly soul ties form. What videos, games, and books do you feed
on? Choose wisely. The more you associate with vessels that possess a broken
and contrite heart, the more they will sharpen you (meditate on Proverbs 27:17).
5. Disengage from wicked and unrepentant people
Create
a long gap with unrepentant wicked people. I mean people who are not ready to
repent from their evil ways. Some people are hardened sinners. They are not prepared
to turn from their evil ways.
Equally,
yoking with these people can harden your heart. Create some distance with people
who are not ready to walk closely with the Holy Spirit. Getting closer to these
people will empower them to draw you away from the Holy Spirit. You cannot
share the Holy Spirit with people who are not ready to change.
6. Occasionally fast and
pray
Fasting
and prayers can humble you. When you fast and pray for a long time and with a genuine
motive, the Holy Spirit begins to work on your heart. I encourage you to
download and read my books on fasting for more wisdom keys. Kindly share the link to this article to save a life.
